Ch168

The next morning.............

Little Glorion rolled over in his crib "Babababa"

*Silence*

"Bababa...eeee..."

*Silence*

The little elfling bounced his legs and arms, his instincts reminding
him of all the attention he received when he mumbled that certain
mixture of sounds...

"Aaa...Dadada...ada!"

Erestor was instantly up and beside the crib with a smile "Good
morning ion" then lifted him up and returned to the bed. Placing
Glorion to his chest, Erestor closed his eyes and sighed

"He is hungry this morning, I can hear him suckling"

Erestor opened his eyes and looked over. Glorfindel was still laying
on his stomach, his head turned away...

"I was thinking of taking him to the library with me today"

Glorfindel rolled over "Aww, I was thinking of taking him to the barracks"

"Library"

The golden warrior sat up and pouted "Rabbit, saes...let me take him
to the barracks"

Erestor tilted his head "Why is it so important that you take him there"

*Sigh* "You are going to laugh at me"

"I will not"

"Aye, you will"

Erestor narrowed his eyes "You are not taking Glorion Anywhere until
you tell me"

Glorfindel flopped back down onto his pillow "Well, its just
that...you see, I was thinking about it and...uh..."

"Findel, you are becoming a verbal slug again"

"I am not! I just...your seed produced Torfindel and he is not a
warrior, he is an artist and...and I was thinking that perhaps My seed
would have...uh..."

Erestor arched his brow "Produced a future warrior?"

Glorfindel shrugged "Well, aye. He really likes lord Tulkas and when I
showed Glorion my sword he bounced and squealed "Eeee!", so I thought
I would show him the barracks"

The dark adviser tried to suppress a smirk

"You see?! I told you that you would laugh"

"Did your hear me laugh? Did I actually produce the sound "Haha"? I
was only smirking because I find you adorable Findel"

The golden slayer quickly sat back up and ginned "So you will let me
take him to the barracks then?"

"Aye Findel, though you will need to have him back in the library within
two hours, he will need..."

"Aye aye, he will need to be fed then I know, I had Gwee remember?"

Thoniel slowly approached the door to his chamber, then quietly opened
it and peeked in "Hello? Heeelloooo? PssPssPss hello? Little
porcupine? Are you still here?"

The healer took a few steps in, then noticed a bowl on the floor. It
was filled with pine needles and soft inner shavings of bark. Picking
up the bowl that the lavan healers had left, Thoniel looked around
"PssPssPssPsss here little porcupine" then startled when he felt
something touch his ankle. Looking down, Thoniel smiled "Well hello
there little one"

Slowly moving to a sitting position, the young healer tilted his head
as he put down the bowl "I need to speak with you my little maica-anna"

The little porcupine moved closer, looked at the bowl of food, then
back to the big creature before him 'Hmm...big thing gives me
food...elf...this big thing wood-elf', then ever so slightly tilted
his furry head 'Marks on face I do...I hurt wood-elf'

Thoniel waited patiently as the little porcupine seemed to be
assessing the situation, then smiled when his new little friend moved
closer "Someone thought that you and I would get along well. Would you
like to live here with me?"

'Aye, stay with wood-elf'

Feeling the positive energy that flowed from the little porcupine to
him, Thoniel nodded "Very well. I will prepare a space for you"

Glorfindel beamed with pride as he entered the barracks "Ion, this is
where I work"

"Babababa"

Huradel quickly approached and smiled "Captain! You brought little
Glorion!"

"Aye, I thought that since he liked my sword when I showed it to him,
I would show him where I worked"

Huradel gave him a sympathetic smiled "Hoping for a warrior this time
Findel?"

*Sigh* "Aye, though if he chooses another field, I will understand. A
warriors life is not for everyone"

"True. How long do you have?"

"Two hours. Then I must take him to the library"

For the next hour and half, Glorfindel walked Glorion around the
barracks, showing him all the weapons and armor, stopping from time to
time as group after group of warriors fawned over him...

"Oh look! T'is little Glorion!"
"Ha! Don't you mean that it is little Bababa blackspeech?"
"Shut up, he did not understand what he was saying! Captain he is very
fair!"
"Aye, this one seems to have your build! Uh, I...I didn't not mean
anything against Gwee of course"

Glorfindel nodded his understanding "I know. Gwee has my face but
Erestor's hair and build...I had noticed that little Glorion here has
Erestor's face and My hair and build"

"Aye Captain! He is a big one!"
"Aye, he should not have Gwee's worries"

Glorfindel tilted his head "What do you mean"

The warrior looked at his fellows, then shrugged "Well, Gwee was so
small. Aye he came out early but...well, I mean...Master Erestor had
Glorion early as well and just look at him, he is a big elfling!"

The seneschal smiled "Ahh, I see what you mean"...*Sigh*..."Well, I
best be getting him to the library"

As the great slayer left the barracks, Huradel smiled as he listened
to the group....

"The Captain is one lucky elf"
"Aye, he has a stunning mate and two beautiful elflings"
"I hope I am as lucky as he"
"Do you think this one will follow him and become a warrior?"
"Eh, who cares what he decides to do when he grows up, at least he
will have the support of his family"
"True, my Adar made me become a warrior, I wish my parents were as
understanding as the Captain and Master Erestor"
"Aye"
"Agreed"
"Oh well said, agreed"

Standing on the other side of the door, Glorfindel smiled as he
listened to his fellows, then looked down at his second son "You may
be whatever you wish ion, as long as you are happy with your choice, I
will be happy"

"Babababa...eee!"

Glorfindel chuckled as he pulled Glorion close "Tul now, let us get to
the library"

Erestor quickly stood when he heard from down the hall.....

"Bababa...da...aaa...ada!"

Entering the library, Glorfindel smiled "Your chatty ion and husband
have arrived!"

The dark adviser chuckled as he held out his arms "Good, now give him
to me"

"I need to make my rounds Rabbit, I will return shortly"

"Alright, if you see Torfindel, send him here will you?"

"If I see him, I will"

As he made his way down the hall, Glorfindel stopped abruptly when he
turned a corner "Hello Taurcalad"

"Ah, Glorfindel! I was looking for you...I need your help"

"Well, you have found me. What did you need"

Taurcalad took a deep breath as he drew close "I need your advice on
how to...uh...court an ellon"

Glorfindel smirked as he arched his brow "Thoniel?"

"Aye my lord"

"I heard about your...gift"

"I did not mean to hurt him, I..."

Glorfindel laughed loudly "You did not hurt him, the porcupine did!"

*Groan* "My lord saes, I need your help. I found out that before you
were bound to Erestor, you had many lovers"

Glorfindel smiled sympathetically "Walk with me"

Several hours later..............

Thoniel sighed when he heard a knock on his door "Argh, I will be
late" then opened it....

"Hissss!"

"Still with the hissing"

"Wh...what do you want Taurcalad, I am leaving for my shift"

"Ah! That is why I am here. T'is your first night away from your
friend, he may get lonely...I have come to care for him in your absence"

Thoniel furrowed his brow "You...you are here to...to..."

"Care for your friend. Oh, look at him, he is watching you leave and
does not understand...just look at him"

The young healer turned around, then sighed when he was met with sad eyes

"Taurcalad you can Not be serious"

"Oh but I am. I thought that I would take him to the garden. That way
he will be close to his new home and when you return, he will see you"

Thoniel looked back at his new friend, then gently picked him up "Very
well. Maica-anna, this is..."

"Careful now my fair healer, be nice"

*Sigh* "Maica-anna, this is Taurcalad, he will be caring for you till
I get off work...do you understand?"

*Flowing of positive energy*

Thoniel reluctantly handed the little porcupine over to Taurcalad "You
treat him well!"

"Of course I will my dear. I did gift him to you after all, why would
I harm him"

"Don't...don't call me that"

"Call you what my dear"

"Th...that"

"What"

Thoniel grit his teeth, then waved his hand "Oh never mind! I need to
go now or I will be late!"

Taurcalad smiled as the young healer ran down the hall, then looked
down "Well now, how are you fairing?"

Maica-anna looked up at the large elf that was holding him, then
sniffed 'Ohhh! You elf who free me! I know your scent! You free me
from small place!"

"You look good, do you like Thoniel's chamber? I know it must feel
much better then that hunters trap I found you in"

*Carefully cuddles closer*

Taurcalad smiled as he turned and walked into the garden, then smirked
as he thought 'Baby-sit the porcupine...Glorfindel, you are a genius'
