The Fire Dance

Ch163

Torfindel looked over at Glorfindel as Taurath wept into his elder
brothers comforting embrace "Ada, is he really kin to Taur?"

Glorfindel nodded "Aye. According to Taurcalad, they were close. He
thinks Taurath stated that he had no kin, so that he would not have to
relive the pain of leaving him behind. It seems that the Avari did not
know that Aglar actually lived here in Imladris, they thought they
would never see each other again"

Torfindel slowly approached, then smiled "Hello"

Taurath quickly spun out of his brothers arms, then pulled him close,
kissing the top of his head "Brother this...this is Torfindel"

Taurcalad grinned from ear to ear "So you are Gwee, your parents have
told me much of you...and how boldly my little brother pursued you!"

Gwee snorted "Aye, I was only 37 when we met...I...I am 48 now. I am
very happy to find out that Taur has kin...will you be staying?"

Taurcalad tilted his head "Taur?"

Taurath cleared his throat "Oh uh, that is what Gwee calls me"

Seeing the confused look on Torfindel's face, Taurcalad chuckled "That
is what I have always been called by our fellows" The large warrior
then placed his hand on Taurath's shoulder "Well, it fits you little
brother, I am gladdened that you have found happiness"

As Taurath smiled and held Torfindel close, Taurcalad took a deep
breath and approached Elrond "You are lord Elrond Peredhil?"

"Aye"

"I was told I should NOT... kneel to you"

Elrond smiled as he nodded "Aye, there is no need for supplication in
my realm"

Taurcalad inclined his head "T'is an honor to meet you my lord, and I
humbly request permission to reside in one of your trees"

Remembering when Taurath first arrived, Elrond arched his brow "Is
this request a literal one? Or would you like a chamber in my home"

The warrior lightly shuddered "Literal my lord"

Elrond thought for a moment, then tilted his head "I would like for
you to be in my home, but I also understand your want to reside in a
tree. I know of a tree that would greatly welcome your presence. When
we were building The Last Homely House, I placed many gardens within.
In one of those gardens, a tree began to grow and I just did not have
the heart to transplant her when she was so young. If you look at the
roof over there, you can see the top of her. Should you get along with
her, I would gladly give you that inner garden to reside in...aye, you
would be In the Homely House, but the garden is large and open"

Taurcalad inclined his head "I look forward to seeing this garden, and
meeting this tree"

Elrond smiled as he took Thranduil's hand "I am sure that the Hall of
Fire is ready by now, tul everyone, let us get something to eat and relax"

As everyone made their way into the house, Torfindel walked over to
Erestor "Adar?"

"Aye ion?"

"Adar, may...may I hold my little brother? May I carry him?"

Erestor gently handed Glorion over, adjusting Gwee's arms to support
his little brother

Once he was secure in his arms, Torfindel looked down and smiled
"Hello little brother"

"Naaaaaaa...na....babababa...na!"

Erestor smiled proudly "Oh! Oh Findel did you hear him? He said
another word!"

Glorfindel rolled his eyes as he grabbed Erestor's wrist "Aye, he said
"babababa" again"

"Nay Findel he said Na!"

"I heard him Rabbit, he has now muttered Nu and Na...such complicated
sounds for an elfling"

"Findel!"

"Erestor, until he is actually able to tell me what is Under and what
Is, I think that..."

Torfindel narrowed his eyes, then yelled "Gwee!"

Glorfindel stopped in his tracks, then smiled "Mmm...you have a valid
point there ion. Very well, our second born speaks"

Elrond shook his head as he griped Thranduil's hand "Well, at least
they are entertaining...insane, but entertaining"

After everyone had settled down in the Hall of Fire, Torfindel smiled
and tickled Glorion's chin "So you have said Nu and Na...what else can
you say Glor? Perhaps you could say Gwee for me? Tul now, say
gwee...say gwee..."

"Guh!...gug...babababa...gu...guuu...gul...gul!"

Everyone gasped, their hands flying up to cover their ears as they cringed

Torfindel quickly looked up "I...I did Not teach him that! I asked for
him to say gwee! Honestly!"

Elrond shook his head trying to clear the pain "Erestor! Glorfindel! I
will Not have Blackspeech spoken in my home!!"

Tulkas slowly stood, then walked over and looked down at Glorion "You
will not speak thusly little one, am I heard"

Glorion blinked, then bounced in Torfindel's arms and giggled "Babababa"

"Mmm...I can feel that he is sorry, not only did his speech hurt all
of you, it hurt him. He is experimenting with sounds, things like that
can happen Elrond Peredhil"

Elrond took a deep breath, then nodded and looked over to Erestor and
Glorfindel "I apologize, I know elflings can babble out the oddest
things...when Elladan was an elfling, he kept mumbling Minno...and
Elrohir kept mumbling En...I know they did not understand that these
were real words but...well, every time I came into the room I was
greeted with Minno Minno Minno and En En En...Celebrian thought it was
rather funny, until they said Ada. She was not happy that they did not
say Nana first"

Erestor sighed as he leaned against Glorfindel "Well, I am personally
hoping that Glorion does Not mutter more blackspeech...I...I know he
was just making sounds but..."

Glorfindel lightly chuckled "At least the one I birthed did not mumble
any blackspeech"

The dark adviser narrowed his eyes "Do not make me hurt you Findel"

"Ooo...I think that is my cue to get my family home. We are tired and
Glorion is due for a feeding"

Erestor slowly stood, then yawned "Aye, forgive us everyone, but
Findel is right"

As Glorfindel, Erestor, Torfindel, Glorion and Taurath left the hall,
Orome stood "It is late, and we can see that you are all in need of
rest, tul Tulkas, you may come and stay in my room with me tonight"

Tulkas groaned "Argh...I do not want to share a room with You...I see
you enough!"

Orome laughed loudly and waved for Tulkas to follow "Oh tul now, let
us leave these poor little ones alone for a bit, they can find you a
chamber tomorrow"

Once the two Valar had left, Thranduil arched his brow "Did he just
call us all "little ones"?"

Elrond got to his feet and sighed "That he did Thran", then looked
over at Taurcalad "Tul, I will show you to the garden"

As Thranduil and Elrond escorted the warrior through the hallways......

*Rondy, remember now, the Avari live rather primitive. Say something
to him, he looks as though he is thinking that the walls are going to
swallow him up*

Elrond smiled as he looked over "Taurcalad, you need not fear walking
through my home, it was built by elven hands and hold no evil, you may
take your hand off the hilt of your sword"

Taurcalad sighed as he tried to relax "I am just unused to walking
through stone my lord, I feel...well, to me, this feels like a cave
system"

Elrond nodded "We shall pick up our pace then, it is now night-time,
you should not feel so trapped come morning when Anar shines through
these corridors"

When they finally arrived at the garden, Elrond pointed down the hall
"That way, about five chambers down on the right, is the healing wing.
The chambers you see around this garden are occupied mostly with
healers and their family's. Come morning, I will hold a meeting with
my healing staff and tell them of your residing in this garden. You
know the healer and swift speaking elleth you met earlier?"

Taurcalad nodded "Aye, Nestor Tordren and his mate Ormeril?"

"Aye, they live in that chamber right there. We will leave you now so
that you may get to know your new surrounding's and the tree in peace.
I will have your brother come and get you for morning meal"

"Hannon le Lord Elrond, King Thranduil, you have both made me feel
welcome here"

About an hour later, Taurcalad sat down at the base of his new friend,
then noticed an ellon slowly approach the chamber door that sat right
on the other side of the garden entrance. The ellon entered his
chamber, leaving the door open, then reappeared in a change of
clothing, now carrying a book. Taurcalad tilted his head in thought
'I know this ellon', his eyes then widening when he realized who he
was looking at 'Aiyah it is that healer...Thoniel!'

Slipping into the shadows of the garden, Taurcalad watched as the
healer approached the tree and whispered "Good evening my friend", he
then turned and gasped, dropping his book "Y...you! Nay! Na...nay
wha...wha...what are You do...doing here!"

Taurcalad smiled as he slowly reached out and gently caressed the
healers cheek with the back of his hand "Good evening Nestor Thoniel"

*Hisssss!*

The Avarin warrior slowly withdrew his hand, then took a step closer
"It has been a long time Nestor Thoniel, how have you been?"

*Hiss...hisssss!!*
