CH 16

This threw Legolas a little off guard when Lord Elrond spoke directly into his mind and he did the task that was given to him. He quickly looked for Lord Elrond’s lead.

“I shall make you a deal, Saurmon, how about I maku anu an offer of some sort.” Lord Elrond trying to distract the old Wizard so Legolas could get his wife out safely.

Saurmon’s eyebrow lifted, “NO DEAL’S!” He stated loudly.

Lord Elrond waited for the Wizard to make the first move as he prayed that his kin and the power of the land would protect him in Rivendell. When this happened, the wind started to pick up and the sky started to darken. Saurmon lifted his staff and tried to aim some magic at Lord Elrond. Nonetheless, the Lord of Rivendell was to swift for Saurmon as he moved out of the way quickly.

This was Legolas’s chance to get Lady Idril to safety and he saw a crack around the window as he pushed it opened with his hands, breaking it into pieces. Lady Idril was getting weaker by the minute as she felt cold envelope all around here body. She thought about how strong she needed to stay for her family.

Haldir was just outside the stables with Amras and they were trying to cause a diversion. However, they saw Legolas in the distance helping Lady Idril out the window. They went quickly over to the side of the stable window and helped in the escape.

In a quiet tone, “Legolas, give the Lady to us and we will ensure her safety back into the Palace.” Haldir stated as he motioned for her.

Legolas quickly handed Lady Idril over to Haldir as Amras looked around for any predators.

A frail voice stated, “Wait, Legolas, Please ensure Lord Elrond, gets out (She coughed as blood flowed to the side and out of her mouth.) Lady Idril stated sickly as she started to cry out because of the internal bleeding.

A set of eyes stared down at her, “Do not try and speak, Lady Idril, Legolas will make sure that Lord Elrond gets to safety.” Amras spoke softly as he carried her back to the Palace quickly.

Legolas watched as they carried Lady Idril off back into the Palace. He did not understand why Saurmon wanted to hurt someone as beautiful as her some how he did not have time to ponder on the current state of Lady Idril.

Lord Elrond was running on pure luck and the spirits of his kin as he dodge yet another energy ball. It blew up as it hit the ground and caused a huge hole in the ground. Lord Elrond hide in the same stall that he saw his wife ran to where Legolas was hiding. He saw the blood splattered on the wall as he ran his fingers over it. A single tear formed in his eye and he thought about killing Saurmon. No one messes with his family, especially his wife!

A loud voice echoed, “Do you give up, yet, Lorrondrond? Just give me what’s mine and I shall leave this land. (Now enraged) You cannot hide from me! Show thy self, Lord Elrond!” Saurmon stated.

Legolas climbed back through the window that he had broken. He saw Lord Elrond bent down running his fingers on the cold blood that was on the floor. Legolas knew that Lord Elrond was mad as he felt the tension rising in the room.

He threw a little rock over his way, aiming at the hay that was off to the side. Lord Elrond looked behind him to see Legolas standing over by the window.

(Their minds are speaking)

“(Lord Elrond) Legolas, I need to finish this~(Legolas) No you must not, your wife has requested that you leave~(Lord Elrond) I will destroy Saurmon, TODAY~(Legolas) No! I will carry you out if I have too, I was given a direct order, besides Lady Idril needs you, she is hurt badly!~(Lord Elrond) All right, the Palace is heavily guarded. Let’s go!”

Lord Elrond chanted a few Elven magic words before he left so Saurmon could go no further then inside the stables. This was his home and not even the strongest Wizard could brake through his commands.

Saurmon went around the corner to where a piece of the window was broken as it was enough to get a person through. He walked over to go threw the window but was stopped by a force field.

His eyebrow cocked back, “What is this? I cannot walk through or brake the force field with my magic.” Saurmon stated Madly.

Saurmon could not even create a portal to reach beyond the force field and into the outside of Rivendell. However, he did not give up as he tried to think of another way to break the magic that held him captive.
