Into Love's Arms

Heidi sat up in her bed staring angrily at the door as if she could wish him to come. He
hadn't visited for two days now and she was getting angry. Very, very angry. Frowning she
forced her self not to cry. Surely he had his reasons for not coming by...although she
couldn't think of any. Denise shifted in her bed and sighed deeply, she to was wondering why
Legolas hadn't come by. Denise waited untill Heidi had fallen asleep again before she tossed
aside the covers. Ignoring Elrond's order to stay in bed and off her mutilated feet, she
stood and dressed quickly. She walked to the door and listened closely, no one was coming.
She walked stealthaly down the halls until she reached the servents entrance. Denise walked
out into the beautiful gardens. She sighed blissfuly as she walked between neat rows of
roses, peonies, and oak trees. Having the cool grass beneath her feet made her feel a little
better. Denise paused when she heard several voices speaking elvish.

"....know something is wrong." she heard an angry voice yell.

"It's none of you business Arwen! Leave it alone!" a male voice shouted back.

"It is my business when YOU make ME lie! I HAVE NEVER LIED BEFORE!! I hate that you are
making me lie now Legolas!!!"

So Arwen and Legolas were fighting, but about what? Denise crept a bit closer to where they
stood.

"You don't have to lie! Just omit certian details!"

"I cannot believe you just said that Legolas! That is decietful it is the same lying. You
must tell them. Heidi deserves to know why Celeborn hasn't been by! Denise needs to know that
Celeborn is keeping you away!"

Celeborn was keeping Legolas from her? That pissed her off, that totaly and completly pissed
her off. How dare he keep her lover from her! What right did he think he have? She would kill
him when she saw him next. Denise stormed over to where Legolas and Arwen stood arguing.

"No need to tell me, I already heard everything you said." Denise said cooly not
letting them know how pissed she was.

Legolas and Arwen started at the intrusion before they regained their composure.

"Denise you should not be up yet! What are you doing out of bed?" Legolas asked concerned.

"I was wondering why no one but Arwen and Lord Elrond had been by for two whole days! Then
I heard you two talking and I want awnsers!" Denise shouted. All the anger she'd kept
inside for days burst out of her. "What is going on? Where is Celeborn?" tears fell down
her face.

Legolas gathered her up in his arms and tried to soothe her. Arwen smiled slightly and left
them together.

"Tell me..." Denise said between sobs.

"I will but first let's get you back into bed before you injure your feet further."
Legolas led her back into her room where Heidi sat waiting.

"Where were you? I woke up and you were gone! I was so scared..... Wait why are you crying?"
Heidi said in a rush.

"Celeborn has been kee Leg Legolas away from here...." Denise immediatly knew it was the
wrong thing to say because Heidi went white from shock.

"He what?" Heidi couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Denise sighed. "I shouldn't have said anything..."

"No what is going on?" Heidi looked intently at Denise then Legolas.

"I'll tell you both what's been going on but first I want Denise to get back in bed."
Legolas mock glared at her.

Sighing Denise climbed back into bed and got comfortable. "Happy now?"

"Very. Alright after you told me about your past..."

"YOU WHAT????? DENISE HOW COULD YOU????" Heidi interrupted angrily.

"I thought Legolas deserved to know...." Denise started to say.

"We agreed that we would decide when to tell them! And you went ahead and did it on your
own!" Heidi shouted.

Denise didn't say anything so Legolas continued on.

"I told Celeborn because I felt he had a right to know..."

"YOU WHAT????? YOU HAD NO RIGHT!!" Heidi curled up and started to cry. "No wonder he hasn't
come by to see me! He thinks I am dirty and used."

"No he dosen't, he just doesn't know how to act around you now." he sighed.

"Why did he tell you not to see us?" Denise was confused at this point.

"He felt that you two should heal before we talked about what we know." it sounded weak
even to Legolas. He wasn't sure why Celeborn had told him not to visit.

"He dosen't love me anymore... I just know it." Heidi sobbed heartbroken.

"Oh honey don't say that! He does love you.... He just doesn't know how to talk to you."
Denise soothed her.

"Like he always does..." Heidi couldn't take any more. She turned away from them and
mumbled. Before something occured to her. "Oh and Legolas? I hate you now."

He was shocked by her words but he knew they were spoken in anger. Denise was mad at him
for listening to Celeborn in the first place. It was kind of laughable that each was mad
at the others fiancee. Legolas waited unDeniDenise fell asleep before he went in search
of Celeborn. He may have destroyed any chance the four of them had to be happy.

Celeborn sat in his room missing Heidi more then he'd ever missed anyone before. A knock
sounded at his door before Legolas walked in. He looked very, very angry.

"They know and they hate you... Well Denise hates you, Heidi thinks you don't love her."
Legolas sat as he spoke.

"She what? Thats not true!" Celeborn was agast.

Legolas told him everything had been said in the ladies chambers. Celeborn listened with a
sinking heart.

"Why are you staying away?" Legolas asked confused.

"Because I am afraid of what I will say when I see her. I don't want to treat her any
differently." Celeborn sighed and felt foolish fore his actions.

"Yes well now you may have distroyed your chance at happiness and Heidi and Denise are mad
at me now. Oh and Denise hates you and wants to kill you." Legola said sneering before he
left.

Celeborn sank down in his chair, he had wanted for them to heal before he talked about
what he knew. But now he knew that staying away was making them worse. Elves and half
elves healed best when surrounded by loved ones. Tomorrow he would go and explain himself
and hope that he hadn't distroyed what had once been a happy future.
