Chapter 16

Once again I slept in Elijah's room. We all wordlessly agreed that it would be best, so I moved my things into his room...and Dom reclaimed his old room. He had been sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room, I don't think he was to disappointed to be in his own bed again. I felt so safe wrapped in his arms, I knew he'd never let anything happen to me. We fell asleep in no time, in the same fetal position as the previous night, with my back to Elijah and his head in the crook of my neck...one arm wrapped around my waist, holding me tight.

We had to rise earlier than before, due to the fact that we were picking up Orlando Bloom at the airport this morning. I rose earliest, my bare feet making no sound as I padded down to the kitchen to make my special breakfast for the boys. I got out the tomato’s, peppers, corn, and beans that I'd bought earlier, and fetched the eggs from the fridge. I made the salsa first, opting to use a knife to dice the vegetables to keep the noise level down. When that was in the fridge getting cold I began to make the scrambled eggs, sausages, and toast. It was finished just as I heard their alarm clocks go off. Dom was the first to sit at the table, having raced out of his room to be the first to see my "special meal".

"Wow! This looks great! What all do we have?" He looked at the table, seeing nothing sitting there yet decided to join me at the stove.

"Well...Bangers and Eggs, with toast....but the eggs are my special creation."

Elijah walked in next, followed shortly by Billy. "Mmmm....something smells good babe." He walked up behind me and gave me a hug.

"Thanks."

Billy poked his head around us to stare into the pan, "Huh...didn't know you knew how to make Bangers and Eggs!"

I laughed, "My mom's a chef...and knows all kinds of traditional dishes....plus I must admit that I have British heritage, mostly Scottish mind you, but a tiny bit of English as well."

"Ah...a lass after me own heart!" He kissed my cheek and sat down at the table. I put the sausages on the table and filled everyone's plate with some scrambled eggs. They began to dig in when I stopped them.

"Wait...you can't start yet gentlemen. I'm not done yet."

"Awe Luv, come on...you can't do this to me." Dom whined.

I merely smiled sweetly and pulled out the bowl of salsa. Getting a table spoon I stood in front of them, "Are any of you allergic to peppers, tomatos, or onion?" At their nods indicating the negative I dumped a spoonful onto each of their eggs. I almost laughed at their confusion. "Awe come on! It's good...trust me."

Dom, not being one to turn down food, dug in. "Mmmm! This is actually pretty good." He smiled and winked at me. I fixed my own plate and sat down with them to eat.

"We've got to be at the airport in an hour and a half mates." Billy said after a while. "Sarah, you can shower first...Dom usually takes the hot water."

"Or we could go together and save money!" Dom said cheekily, and yelped when Elijah kicked him under the table. "Was just kidding of course." He winked at me again before getting up to take his plate to the sink. "You go on ahead, I'll clean up."

I wiped my mouth, "Thanks Dom." My shower was wonderful...I would've stayed there all day had there not been three others who needed it. When I returned to the bedroom Elijah was sitting there reading a book. "Shower's free." I said as I towel dried my hair. "You better hurry before Dom finishes..." No sooner had I begun to warn him had Dom charged into the bathroom.

"Ah....well he won't be too long." He went back to reading while I went into our own small half bath to change into my clothes. Elijah was still sitting there with his book when I returned ten minutes later. I sat on the edge of the bed and applied my make up, almost poking my eye out with mascara when I suddenly felt his arms wrap around me. "I have a question for you Sarah."

"Okay."

"Do you like me." He whispered the words...almost to quiet for me to hear.

"I like you very much, yes."

"But as what...a friend...or maybe something more?" He sighed, "I get so jealous when it comes to you I've noticed...and if I have no reason to be, then I'll relax a bit...Cause I don't want to make you..." I cut him off when I pushed him away and kissed him hard on the mouth. He rolled so we were facing each other...and we broke the kiss smiling. "Is that a yes? Or are you just messing with my sanity?"

I grinned, "Maybe a little bit of both."

"Elijah...you're turn mate!" We heard called through the door. He sighed and kissed the tip of my nose before getting his stuff for a shower.


*One Hour Later*

We stood at the right gate, waiting for Orlando to exit the plane. Dom and I were fighting over who got the last lollipop when Billy suddenly grabbed it and stuck in his mouth. Dom and I stood gaping at him. "Oh I'm sorry...ye meant this lollipop did you?" He grinned and offered it to Dom who shook his head.

When he waved it in my face however I picked it out of his hand and popped it into my mouth. "Mmmm....not bad, thanks Billy!" I laughed and dodged his hands trying to grab and tickle me. When he finally caught me I squealed, and the lollipop dropped onto the floor. "Awe...Billy...look watcha made me do." I started to pout.

Dom, who'd been observing us quietly, suddenly grabbed the lollipop off the floor, dusted it off and stuck it in his own mouth. "You need help mate." Billy said to him. I nodded slowly, then poked Billy in the chest again before sitting down in Elijah's lap.

"Hmm..." I said thoughtfully.

"What?"

"I think one of your eyes is slightly bigger than the other." I smiled at him, and ran my fingers through his hair.

"Is it now..." He studied me for a second then smiled, "Well your face is perfect. I can't find one flaw...except for the strange creature attached to your cheek."

"What crea--" I smiled when he suddenly kissed me on the cheek. "Hmmm...Well can I keep him?"

"Of course you can!"

I was about to peck him on the cheek when I was suddenly lifted into the air and spun around. "So this is your new girl then huh, 'Lij? Cute lil' thing..."

I wrapped my arms around his neck and closed my eyes to ward off the nausea, "Oh gosh put me down!" I laughed.

"Well that's no fun for me is it love?" He stopped spinning and I relaxed. "I'm Orlando, by the way, though I'm sure you've heard of me." He flashed me a smile, and winked at someone standing in front of us. Before I could turn my head I was being tossed into the waiting arms of someone else.

I buried my head in whoever's shoulder, and caught the scent of Billy's cologne again. "Okay...had you fun mates, leave the poor lass alone." I relaxed in his arms, but as if on cue, he suddenly tossed me to Elijah.

"Billy, you best be nice to my girlfriend...I wouldn't want to see her beat you up." He grinned and let my feet drop to the floor.

"Uh-huh...sure mate," Billy rolled his eyes, but flinched when I stepped up to him.

"Bills! Did you really think I'd hurt you?" I turned on my charm and ran a hand up his arm. Looking over the top of my glasses I gave him puppy eyes, distracting him as my other hand went to his waist. At his blush and nod no, I smiled. "Then it's a good thing you let you let your guard down." At that moment I began my assault of tickles, pokes, and pinches into his sides.

Quickly forgetting where we were standing, he collapsed in a heap on the floor, laughing so loud that you'd think all of New Zealand could hear him. When I stopped I walked over to Elijah who put his arm around my waist, and followed Orli who was going to collect his luggage.

"And to think she was the shy girl in the wheelchair just a few days ago..." Billy laughed.

"You obviously forget what that "shy girl" did to me at this very airport Bills." Dom laughed. He pulled the empty lollipop stick out of his mouth and tossed it into the trash.
