Ch 15
Legolas said, “Go get, your father, NOW!! While I protect your mother!” He ran off into the stables aiding Lady Idril
Larien ran so fast she started to get winded as she let out a piercing scream, “ADA!”
Everyone in the whole Palace heard the horrible scream including, Haldir, Lord Elrond, Amras and Arwen as they came to her aid.
“What is it the matter, Larien?” Lord Elrond exclaimed.
Wide-eyed in panic, “Mother is in trouble, someone is fighting with her in the stables. Legolas is trying to protect her well being from this person.” Tears streamed down her face, in complete shock of the situation as Arwen held her.
Lord Elrond ran out of the room and to the stables to see was was going on. On his way, he grabbed a sword in fear of his wife’s live as he remembered the promise of Saurmon, his worst enemy.
In the stables, Lady Idril was going on her morning ride through the forest. She came to her horse, it was all black except around the neck and her name was moonlight. Idril loved this horse and it had been with her for many years.
She carefully reached out and placed a soft cloth over the back of the horse. Then came around and give her some carrots as Idril petted the lovely creature.
When Moonlight had eaten all the carrots, Idril came around and climbed up on her. She said some commands but someone startled Moonlight and the horse bucked a little.
She tried to sooth the horse, “Whoa, Moonlight, what has gotten into you?” In a calming voice, Idril spoke.
“Aye, Lady Idril, I see you’re on your routine ride this morning. How have you been?” The voice came directly from the side of the stall of where Moonlight was kept.
Idril sat there on her horse stunned as she thought, “I know that voice!” She spoke out, “Who is there, show thy self?”
Around the stall came a familiar face that she did not expect to see in Rivendell. He smiled wickedly at Idril, “Remember, I told you, I would be coming for you.” His voice was cold and full of revenge.
Idril’s face turned ghostly white at the thought of Saurmon, “Get out of my home or I will kill you myself, Saurmon.” Idril spoke with maternal intensions as she jumped down from her horse and pulled her sword out.
Saurmon just smiled and pushed her back with his black magic to the walls of the stables as her back hit the wood. Idril screamed loudly hoping someone would hear nearby. Her sword went flying in the opposite direction.
Looking down at her, ”Lady Idril, Please do not make me hurt you today! I want to take you back to my home and make you my wife.” Saurmon said with wicked compassion.
Idril was on the floor coughing loudly as she could not breathe from the powerful thrust of hitting the back wall. Saurmon walked over to the now injured Idril.
When he approached, she tried to call but was stopped by his hand, “Let go of me and leave my family be, Saurmon!” Idril spoke trying to get a breathe in between each word.
Staring into her eyes, “Lady Idril, you know I cannot let you go, I made a promise a few decades ago, that what was, I believe, I AM COMING FOR YOU!! I told you promises could not be broken, only kept.” Saurmon stated.
Legolas came running into the stables to see if Lady Idril was hurt. He saw the Evil Saurmon in the distance hovering over her body. He saw that she was bleeding from some sort of scuffle.
He walked over quietly and swiftly as he hid behind one of the stalls. Then Saurmon grabbed Idril and picked her up off the ground by his magic. Legolas aimed an arrow as it released from his bow, it flew in the wind and hit Saurmon’s chest. He winced and cried out in pain as the arrow caused him to fall to the ground.
Idril knew this was the perfect opportunity to escape from his grasps. So, she gathered up what strength she had left and got up to run towards Legolas. She made it to where he was hiding behind one of the stalls as she collapsed. Blood spilled against the wall as Lady Idril fell hard to the ground out of breathe.
Legolas saw Lady Idril running towards him as she limbed and winced in pain. Her blond curly hair now tasseled and dirty, blood running down the side of her lip. The terror in her blue-green eyes as those same eyes reminded him of Larien, the way their features were the same. Then he saw her collapse next to the stall picked up her body and slowly looked to see if there was a way out.
With fearfulness in her eyes, “Diola lle, Legolas. We need to get out of here, now.” Stated the injured and out of breathe Lady Idril.
He could hear Saurmon stagger as he walked over to their hiding place. Then, Lord Elrond came in and saw the wounded, Saurmon in the distance. However, the wound seemed to disappear at his magic words he spoke as his hand was placed over it.
Hatred formed in his eyes, “Saurmon, get out of Rivendell or I will personally kill you myself!” Lord Elrond spoke harshly.
Saurmon quickly turned, “Aye, Lord Elrond of Rivendell, did you ever think you could escape the like’s me? HA! I doubt that you could kill me, I just want what’s mine and that is your wife, Lady Idril.
Lord Elrond spoke in Legolas’s mind, “I will cause a diversion! Please get my wife out of the stables and into safety!”
