Summary: Orophin's first visit to Imladris is fairly uneventful and boring until he stumbles upon a certain black haired advisor in the library. Now his goal is to win Erestor's heart before he heads home again.

Erestor fought back the urge to skip to the library the next morning in fear that anyone who noticed would think he had gone insane. Gathering all of his strength, he walked quickly to get back to his work, knowing well enough that his mind would wander too much to complete anything.

Every few seconds his new love would pop into his mind and he could feel his heart swell until he was sure it would cease to function in protest. But he could not help his thoughts and his feelings. He was honestly in love with the Silvan and actually looked forward to spending the rest of his existence with him.

Reaching the steps, he finally gave in and bounced happily up them to the entrance of the library. He even caught himself humming lightly, a tune he could not place. He twirled into the library entrance, clutching a few books to his chest as his dancing partners.

But the whirl and the humming stopped short when he saw the golden haired elf perched behind his desk, leaning back in the chair with his feet up on the desk. His paperwork and books had been shoved aside to make room for those large, booted feet, and Erestor felt his irritation slam into him like he had run straight into a brick wall.

“What are you doing here, Glorfindel?” he almost growled out, feeling the rumble in his throat.

“Well, good morning to you, too, Erestor. Is it so bad that I wished to visit a friend on such a nice day?”

“We are not friends.”

“We are not? Since when?”

“Since you tried to take advantage of me. Please excuse me, but I have much work to catch up on, all of it due in to Lord Elrond very shortly.”

“May I help?”

“No, you may not.”

“I thought you enjoyed having help from others.”

“What ever gave you that idea?”

“From what I understand Orophin spent two days helping you put books away and as a thank you for his work you bedded him.”

“I did no such thing! I mean… I…”

“You nailed him.”

“Glorfindel!”

He laughed playfully, trying to hide any note of mean spiritedness. “I understand. Honestly, I do. But I do have one question that has been nagging me.”

“I am afraid to ask.”

“Is he what you expected?”

“What do you mean?”

“Is he good in bed?”

“That is none of your business! Now please leave!”

“Then I will take that as a no.”

Erestor puffed his breath out and stormed down a row of books, still clutching the ones he had entered the library with. Glorfindel followed him with his eyes for a few seconds be physically standing to follow.

Catching up to him, Glorfindel looked at Erestor’s back as he made himself busy.

“Are you still here?” Erestor asked over his shoulder.

Without a word in reply, Glorfindel reached out and took hold of Erestor’s shoulders, spinning him around hard to face him. “Of course.” He took only a moment to look into Erestor’s wide, surprised eyes before leaning down and taking his mouth into a hungry kiss.

Erestor squealed into his mouth, trying in vain to pull away from him. He fought to no avail as Glorfindel walked him backwards until his back struck the far wall of the library, their lips never parting no matter how much he pulled.

Erestor’s mind raced as the kiss continued, deepening significantly. His hands were pinned between their bodies, so his original tactic to escape would not be possible. He kept looking around, trying to see around Glorfindel in hopes that he would spot someone, maybe Melpomaen, as they entered the library. But he could not see past the large elf pinning him to the wall.

Finally, his body took over where his brain was malfunctioning and Erestor brought his leg up fast. His knee came up between Glorfindel’s legs and struck him hard in the groin. Their lips finally parted, Glorfindel crying out in pain as he released the smaller elf and buckled over. Taking his chance, Erestor shoved the golden warrior away from him and ran for the door.

“I will not give up that easily, Erestor! I will win your heart!” He forced out after the fleeing elf.

“I still cannot change your mind?”

“About leaving? I am afraid not, Haldir.”

Haldir watched as Orophin packed his belongings up to be moved to Erestor’s rooms. He could not help but smile. He knew he would miss his little brother with all of his heart, and explaining to Rumil why he had not brought Orophin home with him would be difficult. But he was happy that his brother had found real, honest love in Imladris either way. Everything else could be worked out later.

“Is Glorfindel backing off any?”

“I believe so. I understand Lindir broke it off between the two of them, so he has other things to worry about now.”

“He broke it off?”

“Yes, he did, although I do not know why.”

“I think I do.”

“Oh?”

“I words with him about Glorfindel. Although that was not my intention at all, to break them up.”

“Well, no matter. It did the trick I think. Glorfindel will spending a lot of time trying to win him back, too much time to spend chasing after…”

“Orophin!”

The brothers both looked up, startled to hear Erestor crying out for his love. Orophin moved to the door and met him before he reached it.

“Erestor! What… wait! Calm down!”

Erestor flew into his arms and tried to push him into the room.

“Erestor… what is wrong?” Haldir asked, noticing the tears streaking marks down his pale face.

“I… Oh, Orophin! Glorfindel was waiting for me in the library this morning.”

Orophin looked back at his brother, both of them feeling the concern of the other.

“What did he do?” Orophin asked.

“He… he was not being kind.”

“Did he harm you?” Haldir pressed, coming closer to the two elves.

“No, he just… he pinned me to the wall. I kick him and left me be.”

A growl left Haldir’s throat, the two elves before him looking at him in shock. “Haldir, I can handle this.”

“I know you can, Orophin. But I am allowed to be enraged by this. After all, Erestor is family now.”

Orophin smiled at him briefly before turning his attentions back to his crying lover. He pulled the little elf closer to him, Erestor burying his face in his shirt as he continued cry.

Orophin looked back to his brother. “This has gone far enough.”

“He is not backing off. It must stop and now.”

“I agree. But how do we stop it?”

“I will think of something. For now, just stay with him. Erestor, I will speak with Melpomaen and ask him to bring your work to you here. Or would you prefer for him to work on it himself?”

Erestor sniffled. “No, bring it here. I cannot ask him to do that for me.”

“As you wish. I will return later. And I will have food sent up to you both.”

“Thank you, Haldir.”

“My pleasure, Orophin.”
