Why am I always the one who can't do anything right? Why do I always manage to fuck everything up? Sean's shocked eyes are haunting me, unbelieving green seems to cloud over my vision and I have to sit down. Cold. Everything around me is just so damned cold. The bathroom floor underneath me, the dagger in my hand, the air around me and even my heart. I hadn't thought it possible but now that I fucked up again my heart feels chilled. Even my love cannot warm it anymore.
I'm sure the tears would freeze on my face if it was any colder. Ragged breaths torture my chest as I place the metal blade over my left wrist, applying just enough pressure not to cut the skin. My hand is shaking so badly that I'm almost incapable of holding the dagger.
"Fuck!" The dagger clatters to the floor, cold metal falling onto cold tiles. Who dares to ring the doorbell now, of all times? Again the shrill ringing echoes through my house. "Fuck," softer this time. Should I go and answer?
