Chapter 13

A/N;So here it is the new chapie.Thank you all for being patient waiting for the new chapie and sending me emails that made my muse wake up from the looong dream.LOL
********************
Erestor stared at the ceiling as the room came into a clear view before his eyes and the
spinning in his head stopped. He let out the slight groan as his body started to ache and his head felt like it would explode at any minute or any counting second.

Elrond heard that and moved himself to the other side of the bed to check on Erestor who seemed a bit disoriented as his brow furrowed in pain.

"Erestor are you all right. Oh, I am so glad that you both made through this hell. How are you feeling"

"Like five orc's jumped over my body and crushed me into the pieces." Then suddenly Erestor stopped and squealed the name that came into his mind." Glorfindel... where ... how is he ."

"He pulled through, but he is still loosing some blood from the wound on his chest. He woke up a few minutes before you did screaming in pain, and so I had to calm him with the sleeping potion. I see that you are hurting too...here drink this to ease your aches."

Erestor drank the potion that was offered to him and settled himself back to the bed he had been laying upon. He shot the glance over to Glorfindel and smiled weakly at his sleepy state.

He reached over with his hand and brushed couple of the strands that covered Glorfindel's face, grimacing a little at the bruises that covered the beautiful cheekbones.

The fury took over Erestor's insides and the thoughts of revenge plagued his mind. He wanted to kill those filthy beasts who dared to touch something so beautiful, something so pure, something that he loved so very much.

Elrond saw that soft gesture and he smiled, shaking his head a little. (Oh, how interesting pair those two will make.) He thought to himself as he saw the love reflecting from Erestor's eyes as he freely gave it as the gift to the other person laying there on the bed.

Yes, his advisor did love and did sacrifice much for Glorfindel, never expecting that love to be returned to him, and Elrond looked at the raven haired elf with the respect and admiration.

He wished that he would meet someone like that, someone so loyal, so patient, someone willing to sacrifice everything for him, even something so big as life. Glorfindel was so lucky to have that person who was willing to do that, although he may not see it right now, Elrond was so sure that he will at the end.

Erestor's eyes gleamed as he stared at the sleeping angel on the bed they shared. He was happy to see Glorfindel alive and although he knew the pain the other will go through while recovering, he promised himself that he will be there every hour of the day. He also knew that Glorfindel didn't forgive him for betrayal and for that cursed hour he shared with Valandil, but he was determined to make it all up for his gruesome mistake.

He was scared a little of the coming hour when he would tell Glorfindel about their bound and that he was now the husband who cannot leave his side, or both of them would be cursed and damned by the Valar.

The interesting thing that he discovered about himself was that he was glowing inside, but he somehow didn't show it on the outside. The pain that lingered there when he woke up completely disappeared and he sat up, moving his frame closer to the elf on his right side. He brought the hand to Glorfindel's brow and touched it gently, feeling the warmth beneath that gentle touch he was giving.

Glorfindel squirmed a little and groaned as the other of of pain took over, but soon he calmed himself as he was pulled into a blissful sleepy state. Erestor pulled his hand from Glorfindel's head and muttered something in a low voice, which Elrond did not quite catch.

Only Glorfindel's ears heard that, and although he could not respond to those sweet words of love given to him by unknown person lingering over him, he took comfort in those syllables and only responded in his mind.

Erestor saw the opening of Glorfindel's lips but they were shut closed before he could even say a word. He took this as a very good sign and that maybe the sleeping elf did hear his words and wanted to respond back. But he knew that it was only in his mind and it was a wish that would never come true.

Erestor still felt sore from the aches he endured hours ago but he would have gone through that pain again if it meant that it would save his LOVE. And now he was a husband to this elf, and he felt very scared of that word alone. HUSBAND...someone who loves you and takes care of you for the rest of your life.

(Well, it will be the end of my life, when Glorfindel finds out that we are married. But I had no other choice, I had to save him. Oh, Valar...both of us are doomed. This bond won't last an hour or even the day.)

Erestor thoughts clouded his mind, and his face drowned in sadness. Elrond saw that and broke the silence between them as he placed a comforting hand on the advisor's shoulder.

"What troubles you mellon-nin. What is wrong?" Elrond asked cautiously while his hand came to the Erestor's back.

"Oh nothing. I was just thinking about Glorfindel and our bond. He won't accept it, I just know that." Erestor sighed as he leaned to his friends touch and the small tear escaped his eye.

"Don't you worry about that. I will think of something to keep you two bonded. Don't you worry a thing. Erestor, I know that this is personal question but I really would like to know the answer. It has plagued me since yesterday, but.."

"What is the question? You know you can ask me anything you want, Elrond."

"How long have you loved Glorfindel. I mean I never saw any signs, well until now. I guess, I think that I might be blind to everything that is happening around me lately."

"No, you are not blind, my friend. You never saw any signs because I never did give any away. I loved Glorfindel since the first time I had laid eyes upon him and I still love him with the same the measure of the heart. I just kept those feelings shut, that's all."

"For that long you kept it a secret. My friend millennia's passed and you still held everything inside, never letting anyone suspect about your feelings. That is truly something Erestor. But why this fear of letting it go. What were you afraid of?" Elrond gently said those words as his hand remained on Erestor's back circling around in the comforting motion.

"I was afraid of the rejection, mostly. You see my past, was full of disappointments, clumsy love affairs with maidens who never gave their heart freely. I was elfling when I first fell for the maiden who never had any serious plans for our relationship to progress any further. I gave up on love after that, well that is until Glorfindel came into my life. At first I was confused by all those thoughts and the knots that turned my stomach inside out, but later I came to realization that I felt something strong for Glorfindel, something that every other person on this Arda calls love. Silly it was at that time to admit my love to him or to even consider the relationship with him, because he was already taken by the all elves this realm possessed, and the only elf he couldn't or he didn't chase after was ME. I wonder even today after all these years why he didn't try to bed or seduce me like the rest of the elveat hat had pleasure keeping his company for at least one night." Erestor released the strangled sigh, as he brought hands to his head.

"I wondered that too, my friend. I knew that you and him were on the good terms, or even I might say an awkward friends, but I had wondered most of that times about what made you so different from the other lovers that he might have had. But..now I only see something so obvious that is lingering there in your eyes every time you look at him."

"And that is..."

"Your love for Glorfindel, mellon-nin."

"Yes, I love him, I will admit you only that one more time. But what use is my love to him now, when he hates me."

"He doesn't hate you. He feels disappointed and hurt, but hate is not the thing Glorfindel is really capable of. He is forgiving elf and he may tell you those hurting words of hate, but he never really means them. He is too kind to hate."

"You really think so. I am not so sure after yesterday's fight and those words. He hit me and I never encountered the fury of that magnitude before. I know I asked for it and all, but it still pains me to think of that moment. I never thought that he would loose control and raise a hand on the other elf or that he would try to kill me for what I had done.""

"Oh, don't worry about yesterday. He didn't mean to do that and he regretted it this morning when I saw him. He didn't say that he regretted it in the actuards rds but I could see the sadness and uneasiness in his features when I mentioned your name in front of him."

"Oh, Elrond. I cannot help but worry about the future and what it may bring to me. I am bonded to him now and I will take care of him till my last breath. Even if he refuses to be with me, I will not hold that against him. I did some things to hurt him and I cannot expect his forgiveness so soon."

"Erestor listen. Even if he doesn't feel something for you, you still have to fight and make him change his mind. I doubt that he will be so angry at you, because after all, you saved his life right now. You scarified your own well-being for him, and he will appreciate it, and be thankful for such loyal noble deed that you had done."

"Are you so sure about that. I think that his heart really belongs to Valandil and he will not stop loving him, just because we are married. He will hate me more now than ever, because I am the one he will spend the rest of the life with. Well, if he accept this bond that is ."

"You worry to much, my friend. He will accept it or I will make him to. I am not going to loose you both, because of his stubbornness or because of his so called HATE toward you. Everything will be fine, trust me."

"I hope you are right, Elrond. I hope you are right." Erestor whispered those last words as his hand lingered on his beloved's face, stroking those proud cheekbones gently.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Ahhh, what happened." Pain filled groan sounded the room as Hour awoke and tried to move his body to the left side.

"Shhh, calm yourself. Be still "Semar said gently as his hands tried to pin the other body to the bed.

"Semar what happened why are you here?" Huor let out the other painful squeal as his eyes focused on the form holding him with gentle strength, pinned to the bed.

"You were dangerously wounded by the poisonous blade. Now keep still or you will aggravate your wound"

Huor calmed himself as he heard the word 'wound'
and released the strangled sigh.

"Good, now...do you need something, medication, water .. should I call the healer." Semar nervously said those words with the fast pace and Hour looked at him confusingly, not understanding half of the other's rumblings."

"What?" Huor asked the other elf as he saw the concern coming from those, oh so blue eyes, and he weakly smiled at him, but the smile soon turned to grin.

"I said are you all right. Are you feeling any pain." Semar said those words so loud that Huor grimaced at the pain in his head, that was threatening to burst like the ripe melon.

"Yes, I feel pain everywhere a little, but I think you had just triggered a headache by your loud voice, you idiot. Fetch me some water, will you. My throat feels so dry."

Semar felt somewhat hurt by those last words that escaped Huor's lips. He knew this elf for so long and he fought with him so many times, receiving every insult to which he paid no mind. But now those insults hurt, and he knew he paid more attention to this one more than he should. (What changed ?) Semar wondered. (Did I grow soft or did my ways changed just because he is now wounded and I can't return any harsh words to him? Or is it something else.) He fetched the glass of water and carefully brought it to Huor's lips. Huor drank it greedily bringing his hand to the Semar's wrist, as the other wave of unexpected pain wrecked his body.

He wondered why Semar was so nice to him and where was the healer who should have watched over him. Why this elf, who he disliked very much, was taking care of him and one more question that tortured him the most was, why was Semar even concerned for his well-being? The other elf hated him so much, but the hate was nowhere to be found in those blue orbs, and that left Huor breathless. Or was it slight pain that left him breathless, he wasn't sure.

Confused by the other's silence Huor started to speak, watching Semar with suspicious gaze as he winced from the painful shocks going slowly through the wound.

"Why are you quiet. I see you are not in the mood to fight or at least to respond to my insults. Are you sure that you are not in the need of the healer, young one."
Huor mocked the other elf because he knew that the last words would trigger some kind of the response from the elf. Yes, this elf hated to be called young or elfling for that matter.

"Huor, don't call me young, you perverted slimy orcish.. thing. Why do you always want to fight, even when you are weak and confided to the bed?"

"Perverted slimy orcish thing, Semar..." Huor chuckled. "That is the worst insult you ever graced me with. Very original, ally.lly." Huor laughed weakly but the pain coming from the wound made him stop.

"Oh, go to hell. I now know that you will never change, you slimy git.I was hoping that something about you would be different when you woke up but now I know that no one can change pompous idiot such as your self."

"Oh, and why would I change. I am perfect the way I am." Huor grinned and that made Semar very angry. He cursed himself for even thinking those romantic thoughts hours ago, involving him and Huor and that maybe just maybe being with this elf could change the other's ways. Fool he had been for even thinking about it.

"Oh, get over yourself, Huor. Calaglin.." He called for the healer.
"I am leaving." That was the last thing he uttered before he stormed out of the door and healer entered from the neighboring room.

"What happened?" Calaglin asked as he approached the bed with the confused look on his face." Oh, you are awake." He added while he gave a small smile to Huor.

"Oh, nothing. Just the daily fight between me and Semar."

"Must you two do that every day, even when you are laying on the bed, escaping the death. I swear, I never knew such ticstics like you two."

"Calaglin, how long had I been here." Huor asked changing the subject.

"You were here eight hours, and Semar was here with you too. He brought you here after you were stabbed by the someone...well highly dangerous. Huor, I must ask you. Do you know who was the person that attacked you?"

"I didn't see him. It happened so fast. I was just standing beside the statue when I felt the excruciating pain on my stomach. The next thing I know was that Semar was taking me to the healing house."

"Hmmm...well whoever it is, I hope they will find him soon. Do you have any enemies that you are aware of, Huor."

"Well, ... let's see. Except Semar, I don't think so."

"You know, you should be grateful that he picked you up and brought you here. I don't think that he was the one who gave you this wound, Huor."

"I know. And I am. And I also hope they will find that idiot who tried to kill me. I wish that I saw his face, but I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings, I guess."

"Well, he will be caught eventually. Now tell me how are you feeling. Do you feel any pain around your wound"

"There is a little pain, but it is not unbearable. You really are one talented healer, Calaglin." Huor looked at the other elf and for the first time he noticed how attractive the healer was. His black hair, green expressive eyes made his face so perfect, without no lines.

Calaglin blushed and uttered the word 'thank you' to his patient. He knew that the other was a well known seducer but he didn't mind the compliments that the other elf gave to him.

Huor saw that blush and he smiled at the other's so visible embarrassment. He wasn't in the mood for seducing but still he couldn't help himself as he noticed other's attractiveness. He picked up the healer's hand and held it in his own, making the Calaglin's cheeks turn into the deeper shade of red.

Calaglin sat down on the bed and didn't pull his hand from the Huor's grasp. He left it linger there while he smiled gently at his patient, never ceasing to return the other's burning gaze.

None of them saw the figure opening the door a little and peaking inside. The person's heart tumbled in his chest and he made a miserable sigh at the picture before him, Huor holding Calaglin's hand. He closed the door behind him, taking the jealousy as the company today, and he ran away to his room, suppressing the tears before they gave him away.

Huor released the healer's hand as he saw the pair of eyes coming from the door that were opened slightly. He knew those blue orbs belonged to Semar, but as the great observer that he was, he tried to make it that he didn't see the other elf at the door. There was something new in those blue orbs that were spying on this private moment, something Hour only recognized as PAIN. Realization hit him and he flicked his eyes once more to the door but then his prying elf disappeared from the sight. (Oh, my Valar. He can't be in love with me. Can he.)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

It had passed two days since Glorfindel got wounded, very dangerously (in fact), but he was waking now to the bright morning sun, that was warming it's way through Imladris. First he could feel nothing, but then second later he felt the strange ache spreading from his chest and then lower.

He opened his mouth and sighed as he felt that that ache is becoming more unbearable, and it was now turning to pain. His eyes examined the room he was in, the bed and the wash basin that stood to his left side.

The bed was huge, well huge enough to carry couple of people on it, but as he turned his head to the other side he saw something that actually made him gasp. Someone was laying there with him, the dark locks on the pillow covered the face that would identify who that person was. But not for long. The person suddenly turned his head to Glorfindel's side and revealed himself in the morning light, and Glorfindel released another gasp, not believing his eyes.

"Erestor..."

Erestor heard someone calling his name and he woke up with start, scanning the room quickly. There was Glorfindel sitting up as his confused eyes glared at him, but Erestor released the surprising squeal and came closer to the other elf."

"Erestorwhatwhat.. are you doing here." Glorfindel asked weakly as his body slumped itself to the bed, and the painful groan sounded the room.

"Glorfindel, you are awake. I can't believe it." Erestor smiled as the small tear of happiness escaped his eye." Elrond, come quickly." Erestor turned his head and yelled for Elrond, who was in the other room taking his rest.
