Legolas walked down the hallway towards their room, trying to get his
temper under control. Elrond had just told him that he had found his
darling baby, coming out of the forest, alone. Like he had told her
many times not to.
So there was that he had to punish her for, not the mention the other
things she had done. He had had many visits today, as did Lord
Elrond, from Elves who had witnessed Narya misbehaving. The stablen whn who tended the horses reported Narya's attempt to ride the
wildest horse in Rivendell. And what a mess she had created there
for the poor stable workers!
Immediately after that first encounter from a witness, and victim of
Narya's antics, Legolas had gone in search of his lady, none to
pleased, but not furious. Not yet, anyway.
While he had been looking for her, several maids had approached him,
telling him how they saw Narya playing in the fountains outside, then
how she had come into the house with her wet clothes, creating a mess
as she ran through the hallways, yelling and making noise.
Now that had made him a little angrier, and once again he started off
to look for her. It was then that he stepped into a water puddle,
created by his little love, and went sliding down the hallway and
crashed into a wall. His unexpected trip into the wall vibrated a
small table beside him, and sent the fragile, flower filled vase that
was on top of it onto the floor, where it smashed to pieces.
Okay, so *then* Legolas was furious, and thought his anger could not
get any worse, until Elrond finally located him and told him of
catching Narya exiting the forest, and that he had sent his to wait
from him in their room.
Legolas discovered he had been wrong. His anger could get worse, and
now he was livid. He stormed down the hall, barely noticing the
Elvish children and their bed jumping as he passed. When he reached
for the door of their room, he threw it open, and marche to to be
greeted by a very shocking sight.
There was his little baby, jumping up and down on their bed, just
like the Elvish children had been doing down the hall. She had a
gleeful look upon her face and he could tell she was having the time
of her life. She hadn't even noticed him yet, she was having that
much fun! But seconds later, all the fun ended when she tripped over
one of the pillows, and Legolas watched in horror he whe went flying
off the bed.
Narya screamed and landed right on her hip and howled. "Ouchy!!"
That was going to leave a very nasty bruise.
Legolas ran to her quickly, landing on his knees beside her, and
helping her sit up. "Narya, are you alright?!" He asked, his voice
full of worry.
"I think so, but I shall be bruised." Narya told him as he helped
her to stand. "Are you angry with me?" She blurted out, worry lines
appearing on her face.
Legolas stared at her for a moment before going to the door and
closing it. He then went and pulled the shades down and turned back
to her. "What did you think you were doing, Narya?!" He shouted at
her. "You could have broken your neck!"
She cringed and took a step back. He had NEVER been so angry with
her. Her head dropped and she looked at her dainty slippers.
"I am talking to you, young lady. What possessed you to do that?!"
Narya whimpered. "The little Elflings were having fun and I've never
done that before and it was so much fun until the pillow tripped
me." She didn't look up as she answered, her voice very soft.
"The Elflings?" He repeated, confused for a moment, then remembered
the children that were jumping up and down on the bed. She e must
have seen them as well, and decided to see what jumping up and down
on the bed was really like. He sighed. "Narya, that was a very
childish and dangerous thing to do! You could have been seriously
hurt! What is the matter with you?!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" wai wailed, backing away a little more.
Legolas sighed deeply. "You landed on your right hip, didn't you?"
He asked. Narya nodded, watching him closely. "Lie down on the bed
and pull you skirt up. I want to see how bad it is." He ordered
her, his tone leaving no room for argument. Sniffling, she obeyed,
closing her eyes and flinching a little as he came near her. She
didn't want to be frightened, but he was so VERY angry with
her. "Lift your skirt up, Narya." He snapped at her. Narya cringed
and hurriedly obeyed.
He looked down at her hip and flinched at what he saw. A horrid
bruise was already forming, a dark blue and purple splotch that
covered her small hip. He sighed deeply and gently placed a hand on
it and held it there. Suddenly there was a flash of light that
pierced Narya's eyes, and then it faded, and she found her bruise was
all gone.
"Th-th--thank y--you." She stuttered out.
"You're welcome." Legolas snapped at her. "Now straighten your
clothes and get up."
"Don't hurt me." Narya whimpered, getting up as fast as she could.
He ignored her. "Look at me, Narya." He ordered. She quickly shook
her head no. "NOW, Narya!" He shouted.
The poor girl nearly fell over, cowering, and looked up. Her eyes
were riddled with fear and filling with tears, her face turning
rather ashen. She took a step back.
"Elrond told me he caught you coming out of the forest. Alone. Is
this true?" His voice was a bit softer now, but not much.
She nodded, her voice having left her, her eyes looking wide and
growing more frightened by each moment as she took another step back.
"What did I tell you about going into the forest alone, Narya
Greenleaf?"
"N--n---not too." She whispered, backing right into the wall.
"So then why did you?" He asked, his voice low, walking towards her
as she backed away.
Narya made an attempt to blend into the wall, and found it
failed. wan wanted an adventure, I never got to have adventures and I
thought if I was careful, maybe you wouldn't be angry." She watched
his every move.
"You wanted to have an adventure? Narya, that is NOT a good excuse.
You cannot go off and have an "adventure" by yourself! It is not
safe! I told you not to go into those woods by yourself no matter
what! You deliberately disobeyed me!" He reached her and placed his
hands on the wall, one on each side of her head, trapping her there.
He glared at her, furious.
She dropped to the floor, shaking, her hands covering her
head. "Just... just... just not a belt or cane." She
whimpered. "I'm so sorry!!" Several silent tears streamed down her
face.
Legolas stared at her, shocked. He had not meant to scare her that
badly. Apparently he needed to calm down. "Stand up, Narya." He
told her softly. "I am not going to use a belt or a cane on you.
Now get up please." He held a hand out to her, waiting. Her only
movement was the shaking of her body and muffled sniffles as she
tried to hide the fact that she was about to start sobbing.
With a sigh Legolas knelt down in front of her. "Narya, look at me
now." He told her, his voice a little firmer now. She barely peeked
up, her face still ashen, her eyes spilling tears. She tried to talk,
but all that came out was a hiccup.
"I am sorry I scared you so badly, baby." He told her very
gently. "But I am very upset with you. You have been very naughty
today. Not only did you go into the forest alone, but you also went
into the stables and tried to ride a horse without supervision, and
the wildest one I might add. You could have killed yourself, baby.
And then after you did that you went and played in all of the
fountains, the then you came into Elrond's home and ran around the
hallways in your wet clothes and made a lot of noise, not to mention
making a mess all over the floor. Do you know that I slipped in one
of the puddles you made and slammed into a wall, causing a vase to
fall from a table and break? The vase doesn't really matter, but
anyone could have slipped and fallen and received very serious
injuries. Did you ever think of that Narya?"
Narya shook her head. "N-oh." She hiccupped again. His hand
reached up to caress her face and she ducked her head again, then
slowly raised it, and leaned into the gentle caress.
"Well you need to start thinking about these things, baby." He told
her. He sighed again. "Why did you do all of these things, Narya?
Why were you so naughty today? You've been good for a while now.
What happened today?"
"I don't know." She told him, her voice returning to normal and some
color gracing her face again, though the tears still fell. "I am
sorry, I just.... I am so happy to be so free. I guess I was too
excited."
"I would say so, love." He watched her for a moment. "Can you stand
up?" He asked her. She nodded, and still feeling kind of weak from
being so frightened, took his hand and slowly stood up, and still
held his hand.
"It is all right to be feel happy and be excited about your new life,
Narya. But you must know when to draw the line. There are certain
things that you cannot do. Do you understand?"
"Yes sir." Narya answered. "I am sorry, you will forgive me?" Her
bottom tingled again and she gulped. " And I am to be spanked?" She
added with a squeak.
"Yes, I will forgive you, and yes you are to be spanked. You
misbehaved terribly. I am really very upset with you for going into
the woods, and for nearly killing yourself while jumping on the bed.
And please do not call me sir. I told you that you did not have to
do that, remember?"
She nodded. " I thought I should because I'm in big trouble." Narya
whispered.
"Yes, you are. But you do not have to call me sir. Understand?"
"Yes Legolas." She answered. "I am sorry I was so naughty, it is
hard, I get excited, I am not used to such.... such a life."
"I know you are not used to it, and I know you get excited, baby.
But that does not excuse anything, especially the fact that you went
into the forest. That was very wrong." Legolas scolded.
"I'm sorry." Narya sniffled, wishing more then anything for a hug or
kiss, feeling so very small and frightened. "I'll try very hard to
be a good girl."
"I know you will, but you know you must be punished, don't you?"
Slowly she nodded. "Yes, just no.... no bad ts oks ok? Blood makes
me feel sick." Narya whispered.
Legolas almost fell over at that. "Blood?!" He nearly shouted,
which of course scared the poor girl. "Narya, I would never use
anything on you that would draw blood! I am not a cruel person!"
Still shocked, he grabbed her and hugged her tightly, feeling a bit
sick himself. He would have to do something to calm himself down on
that.
Narya shook in his arms. "Promise?"
"Yes baby, I promise with all my heart and soul. Never ever, no
matter what you do." He hugged her again and kissed the top of her
head. " Okay, you know what I want you to do know?"
"Over your knee?" She said with a gulp.
"No, not yet. Since you have been so bad, I want you to go stand in
that corner over there for a little while and think about what you
did." Legolas pointed to a corner and raised an eyebrow at her,
looking stern. Narya hurried over and pressed her nose to the
corner, her shoulders shaking. She had never felt so horrible in all
her life, she had really disappointed him so much.
Legolas watched her for a moment, then spoke. "Lift your skirt up to
you waist and hold it there." He told her firmly.
She did so, her hands trembling. "I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed
urgently.
"I know you are, baby. Just stand there for a few minutes and think
about things." He said, and then went over to one of the dressers.
Narya heard him open a drawer and then she heard him digging around
for a moment before the drawer closed again. Legolas sighed as he
went and sat down on the edge of the bed, watching his beautiful lady.
