Summary: Glorfindel seduces someone he should not have; only to find out she is the one who just may be his match.
A/N yeah it has been a while.. Sorry about that.
~ ~ ~
Glorfindel moved onto his side as he watched Brennil sleeping peacefully. Though it had been some time since she had been ill, he still noticed that she would become tired easier then she used to. Since then he had made sure she would not push herself to much, letting her rest when she needed it. She had not yet officially moved into his rooms, however she did stay with him every night. It was something he had refused to give up.
It bothered him that Orophin was still in Imladris. There had been no reason for his visit, along with his brothers. So far Brennil had not spoken to Orophin and had assure Glorfindel she did not plan to. What Glorfindel did not like was that Orophin had been asking around about her, saying he needed to speak with her. Glorfindel had plans to make sure that did not happen. Brennil was no longer part of Orophin's life and he would do whatever it took to make sure it stayed that way.
"You are mine." He said softly as he ran his finger along the mark on her neck, the mark he had left there.
"Yes I am" she whispered softly as she turned her head to look at him
" You are supposed to be asleep." He chuckled lightly. He lowered his head and kissed her softly before she had a chance to reply.
" I have slept long enough." She finally managed to reply." And now I am hungry." She added. She laughed quietly when she saw the sudden desire in his eyes." For food this time."
Glorfindel watched her as they got dressed, looking her over when she was done.
" I like that one on you." He said
"Glorfindel" she laughed quietly." You say that about anything I wear."
Walking over to her, he slipped his arms around her, kissing her softly
" I know." He grinned" but this one can be off you in seconds" he said as he ran his finger along the ties that ran down the front of her gown.
" You plan to take it off me in the dining hall?" She teased
" If we are alone I might" he added, giving her a wicked grin.
Brennil merely laughed softly before she kissed him then took his hand as they left his room.
As the entered the dining room, Glorfindel had hope they would be alone. They both knew he would not hesitate to claim her if they were alone. He let out a disappointed sigh when he hard other elves talking. He almost growled when he spotted Orophin there as well.
"Perhaps we should just go back to the room to eat" He said quietly
Brennil looked over at Orophin as well and shook her head.
"No" she replied." I will not start having you hide me in a room while he is here" she said.
"That is not what I was doing" Glorfindel said, though there was some truth to it.
" If you say so" she said, kissing his cheek softly. " I meant it when I said I do not wish to speak with him. Why can you not trust that?" she asked
" I do" Glorfindel said, leading her over to a table finally. He held out a chair for her and once she had sat down, he tilted her head back and kissed her deeply.
"What are you smirking for?" He asked as he had sat across from her
" Your are jealous." She giggled softly " and I am enjoying it."
" I am not" Glorfindel said stubbornly." I am merely protecting what is mine."
Brennil did not comment on that but had merely given him a look. Once their meal had arrived, she ate quietly but had smiled over at him when he took her hand and kissed it softly.
" You have become quiet." He said, tilting his head as he looked at her
" Do you trust me?" she asked softly. " Even after everything that has happened, I mean."
Glorfindel arched his eyebrow slightly as he tired to figure out why she doubted his trust of her
" Of course I do" he replied honestly
" It does not feel that way." She told him. " Especially since Orophin arrived in Imladris."
Glorfindel took a deep breath and leaned over to kiss her softly
" I never meant to make you have any doubts" he told her." I do trust you. I just do not like not knowing why he is here to begin with."
Brennil picked up a piece of fruit from her plate and reached over to offer it to Glorfindel
" It is you I want to be with, Glorfindel " she smiled at him" I care not why he is here."
She added, adding a light kiss after he hate taken the fruit from her.
" You should care." Orophin said, appearing beside them suddenly " I came for you."
Glorfindel was on his feet instantly, standing face to face with Orophin
" She is not yours" He growled at the younger elf
" She was mine before she was ever with you." Orophin pointed out. " She left before I could make things up to her." He told Glorfindel." She was born in Lorien and she should be there now." He hissed before adding " with me."
Elladan and Elrohir had walked into the room in time to see Glorfindel and Orophin arguing. One look at Brennil and Elladan knew she was upset.
" Come with me" He said, taking her hand and helping her out of her seat.
She glanced at Glorfindel briefly then left with Elladan. She heard Elrohir say something but had not been able to hear what.
" He does not trust me." Brennil sighed once they were in her room. It felt strange to be there after spending most of her time in Glorfindel's room
" Yes he does" Elladan replied, sitting next to her of the sofa. " Remember all this is new to him as well," he pointed out. "He cares for you more then he has ever cared for anyone before. He does trust you, Brennil, he also just does not want to lose you either." He leaned over to kiss her cheek lightly." And he most likely feels that if anyone can come between you, it is Orophin."
Brennil let out a deep breath, resting her head on her friend's shoulder softly
" Tired?" Elladan asked her, feeling her nod her head " then lay down and rest." He said.
" I have a feeling Glorfindel will come and find you."
~ ~
" She sleeps?" Glorfindel spoke quietly as he stepped into Brennil's room
" Yes." Elladan replied, getting up to go speak with Glorfindel in the sitting room." I take it you have calmed down now?" he asked" or you are not going in there" he pointed out
" I am fine," Glorfindel sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"I suggest you stay away from Orophin while he is here" Elladan said." Brennil does not need to be upset anymore then she has already been."
Glancing towards the bedroom door, Glorfindel let out another deep breath.
" I always make matter worse" he said quietly " I merely wanted Orophin to know she is mine now."
Elladan took a deep breath as he felt his temper increase.
" Glorfindel" he hissed." You need to realize she is not an object you own." He closed his eyes to calm himself before he continued." She is with you because she wants to be, not because you own her." He leaned forward as he spoke to the older elf. " If you keep making her feel as if she's a possession then you will lose her, and I promise if that happens Orophin will not hesitate to go after her."
Standing up, Glorfindel began to pace in front of the bedroom door.
"Why does he suddenly want her?" He asked, speaking mostly to himself
" I do not think he does." Elladan replied." Both Elrohir and I have seen him with different ellith since he arrived." He admitted." He does not truly want her for himself, I believe he merely does not want her with you either."
Glorfindel stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Elladan, his eyes had taken on a dark dangerous look.
" Glorfindel" Elladan warned." Before you go and do something you will regret just listen" he said, arching an eyebrow as he waited for Glorfindel to reply.
" I am listening" He said finally
" Orophin could never resist any elleth that pays attention to him that has not changed." He said.
"What has that have to do with anything?" Glorfindel asked
" Leave that to me and Elrohir" he grinned wickedly." We have something planned." He added." You just need to show Brennil that you do trust her and that you are the one who does want to be with only her." He grinned
" She already knows this." He pointed out
" I do not doubt that." Elladan said" but knowing it and having you show it can make all the difference"
Glorfindel looked at Elladan then grinned slightly when he figured it out
" You're setting him up." He commented." Having me show Brennil how I feel while letting her see that Orophin has not changed his ways."
Elladan's grin was almost evil as he nodded his head
" Exactly." He replied
" Why?" Glorfindel questioned,
" Call it payback." He said." Brennil was hurt deeply by how he treated her. As her friend, I won't let him have a chance to do it again."
Glorfindel grinned as he nodded, glancing into the bedroom to see Brennil still sleeping.
" Go rest with her," Elladan said quietly." She will be glad to see you there when she waked up."
Glorfindel gave him a small nod and had been about to step into the room. He stopped and looked back at Elladan, who was about to leave
" If Erestor finds…" He began to say but Elladan held up a hand to silence him
" It was his idea" Elladan said as he left the room.
Not sure what to make of that, Glorfindel turned and entered the bedroom. He moved into the bed slowly and wrapped his arms around Brennil. He smiled when she moved closer to him and after a few minutes he had drifted off to sleep with her.
It was a few hours later when Brennil woke up. As she looked over at Glorfindel she found him still sleeping. It had meant a lot to her that he had come to look for her, she had been worried that he would have just gone to his room. He always looked so peaceful as he slept and she did not wish to wake him just yet. She preferred to just watch him quietly.
" What are you thinking about?" Glorfindel asked quietly
" You." She smiled when he looked at her
" What about me?" she moved onto his side to face her. He reached over to run his hand through her hair slowly.
" Just how lucky I am to have you." She said, giving him a small smile
" I am the lucky one, Brennil" He replied. " I do not know what I did to deserve you.
Whatever it was I am very glad I did it" he grinned at her then had kissed her softly
" Why are you crying?" he asked, concerned that he may have said the wrong thing again.
" I know how close I cam to losing you." She whispered softly. She was about to say more when Glorfindel kissed her deeply
" You were never in any danger of losing me" he told her, placing his finger over her mouth when she went to speak. " I should not have left, and I should never have left you standing there." He added." I was upset but even then I still wanted to be with you." He admitted." I just had not realized it right away."
Before Brennil could say anything, Glorfindel kissed her again. Only this time it did not end there. Brennil giggled softly when he pulled open the front of her gown then had sighed softly as he felt his hand glide along her skin slowly. One touch from him could always send a shiver through her and this time was no different. She melted against him after she managed to get his clothing off as well.
As he moved over her, Brennil's eyes locked with his. She saw the desire in his eyes but there was something else as well. Something she could only hope she had not imagined. She knew without a doubt that she loved him and had hoped he loved her as well. The look in his eyes said he did but he had yet to tell her. She reached up to touch his face gently to say something to him. Feeling him enter her slowly sent any thought of speech from her mind, instead, she gasped his name softly as he filled her.
As she ran her hands slowly along his shoulders, Brennil could not tear her eyes away from him, nor did she want to. Not even when he kissed her did they look away from each other.
" Brennil" Glorfindel moaned deeply as he began to move inside her.
The pleasure they were both feeling made it impossible for either of them to last long. When he felt her tighten around him, his next thrust brought them both over the edge. He loved hearing her scream his name as the pleasure rushed through her. His own cried of pleasure filled the room as he erupted inside her.
Brennil had fallen asleep in his arms and he had no plans to move either. He had seen the look in her eyes and the amount of love he had seen in them had scared him. He was not afraid of loving her, but the thought of somehow messing it up terrified him. He knew how he felt about her. He loved her more then life itself. He had came close to telling her that but had lost himself in the feel of her and the moment had passed. Now, he needed to wait for another perfect moment to let her know. He could only hope he did not mess things up before that moment came.
Orophin had gone to Brennil's room. He wanted to talk with her and hoped to find her alone. He had knocked quietly, yet when no one replied he opened the door slowly and just in time to hear her screaming Glorfindel's name.
" Soon" He replied, closing the door quietly. " You will see who you are supposed to be with."
He let out a light growl when he heard Glorfindel's cries of pleasure as well.
" Even if I do not end up with you, my dear Brennil. I plan to make sure Glorfindel does not have you either." He added as he walked away.
