AN Sorry for the delay in the posting of this chapter. I have been working to hard and I’ve had a bit of writer’s block.


Chapter 11


Celeborn was waiting by the entrance for Haldir to return with his youngest son. Celeborn could feel the excitement in the air. And naturally he was happy that Rumil would get his wish to see his lover again. He just hoped that Thranduil would not whisk Legolas and the twins off right away.

In truth Thranduil looked happy to be in Lorien. Or it could just be a temporary thing that would ware off in a day or two. You could never tell with that volatile elf king. Sometimes Celeborn wondered how Legolas could be so different from Thranduil in manner and yet so much alike in looks.

Celeborn was determined to keep Thranduil here as long as he possibly could. Who knew when Legolas would get a chance to come back to Lorien? Celeborn’s head snapped up when Rumil and Haldir strode through the open doorway side by side

“Ah I was beginning to wonder when you two would arrive.” Celeborn said pushing off the wall he was leaning ageist”

“Sorry my lord. I was sleeping.”

“Yes I know. You were supposed to be here enjoying your self, not sulking in your bed. The lady was very displeased with you. Though she will not say, I know my lady wife well enough to know when she is worried.”

“I’m sorry, I did not know that I have upset her so.” Rumil said hanging his head.

Celeborn wrapped his well-muscled arm around Rumil and smiled. “In truth we worry about all three of you always my son. But please do not ever forget how much the three of you are loved by my lady.”

“RUMIL” Cried Legolas crossing the room and throwing his arms around his neck.

“Legolas I can’t believe it is really you.” He said wrapping his arm around his back and squeezing him tight.

“Hum-Hmm” both Legolas and Rumil turned to see Thranduil standing behind them, with the twins standing on each side of him. Both young elves turned worried eyes on Thranduil, neither of them not quite knowing what to expect.

“It’s good to see you Rumil of Lorien. It has been a long time.” Thranduil smiled and extended his hand to Rumil.
“I’ve been thinking I would like Legolas to remain in Lorien for a while, if that is alright with you my Lord?”

Celeborn chuckled at the surprised looks on their faces. “Legolas is welcome any time in Lorien.”

“As are you my lord.” Replied the lady walking up to stand by Celeborn. “Haldir you will show our guests to their talan. When they are ready? ”

“Yes my lady.” Haldir replied bowing his proud head in respect to Galadriel.

“Well I’m sure Legolas and Rumil know the way. I would like at spend a little longer with my sisters if they do not mind.”

“Well we don’t mind at all.” Sierra said smiling at Legolas and giggled softly. Keira was making eyes at Haldir, much to Thranduil’s amusement.

“Well I promise not to keep you two long. I’m sure you have better thing to be doing.” Thranduil snickered as Keira whipped her head around and found Thranduil watching her. She knew that her face must be as red as an apple my then.

//What it this pick on Keira day or something!”// She grumbled looking at Sierra.

//I’m glade they are here but you were right, they could have arrived a little latter, say dawnish or sometime after.//

// Well seeing the smile on Legolas and Rumil’s face was well worth it. We can see the guy’s later.// Keira send back smiling at Thranduil.

//Where did Orophin go?// Keira looked around the hall and did not see him anywhere. She shook her head and looked back to Haldir to find him watching her again. She thought she would surprise him a little.

//Where did Orophin go my lord?// Keira chuckled as Haldirs eyes doubled in size.

“Oh my gods! Not two of you!”

“Oh no, try three of us.” Smiled Sierra.

“I knew that you could communicate with each other but I did not realize that you could do it with others as well.

“Yes we can. I don’t often use it with anyone other then her. In our world no one had the ability. They are rather narrow-minded and anything that they do not understand scares them. Therefore they look down on it as evil, weather it is or not.”

“I don’t like this places you came from very much.” Haldir said leaning agents the railing.

“The only thing that I will miss is uncle Sean.” Keira said smiling up at him.

“Who was he?” Keira sighed as Haldir pulled her into his arms.

“Our mother’s only sibling. He’s the only family that we had left there.” Keira said with a frown on her face.

“Why did you not bring him with you.” He asked softly kissing her forehead.

“We--- I don’t think he would have come.” She said in a sad voice.

“Did you ask?” Haldir asked pulling away a bit so as he could see her face clearly.

“Well no we didn’t.”

“Then how do you know that we would not come?”

“We don’t. Kie do you think that he would come?” Sierra asked looking at Thranduil.

“This Sean is welcome in Mirkwood. If he is family to you two then he is my family as well.
