CH 11
Legolas reached over and hugged Lady Idril as he saw the look of despair a moment ago in her eyes.
Lady Idril pushed back from the embracing hug, “She is resting, and Lord Elrond is still inside.
Smiling at the Prince, she departed leaving Arwen by his side, Lady Idril opened the door to see Lord Elrond holding their daughters hand. She closed the door behind her and stared at Larien’s blood stained shirt and s. As. A tear escaped her eyes as Lord Elrond looked over at his wife gazing at their daughter.
“What happened to our Larien? It looks as if she had been slained by a pack of Wolves.” A silence fell over the room as Lady Idrilkedlked over and dropped to her knees next to Larien’s bed.
Lord Elrond spoke with sadness, “My love, she was attacked by a Warg Rider and their~”
Lady Idril broke in as she stared at her child, “Arwen told me about the attack, have one of the Maidservants bring Larien fresh clothing to put on, she looks horrifying.” A tear slipped down her face. She took Larien’s hand and bent over to weep.
Larien’s voice was a mere whisper, “Desh'mieve (Mother), do not cry.”
Her mother slowly came up to see her very own eyes staring up at her, “I am so sorry, Larien, I should not have let you go!” As she softly cursed herself for agreeing to let her daughter go.
Lord Elrond did what his wife asked as he got up and looked at his daughter one more time. He slowly began to walk towards the door as the words that his wife spoke shot right to his heart. He thought maybe he should not have let his daughters go and just listened to his beloved wife. He walked to the door, opened it, walked out and closed the door behind him.
Arweme rme running up to her father, “Ada is Larien going to be all right?” She asked fearing for her sister’s life.
Lord Elrond spoke softly as he held back the tears, “Yes, my darling, Larien will be just fine now, she just needs to rest for a while. As he smiled at Arwen to reinsure that Larien would be all right.
Lord Elrond walked with Arwen as he asked the near by Maidservant to bring some soap, water and a fresh gown to be placed on Larien after she gets cleaned up. The Maidservant hurriedly went and gathered the things as Lord Elrond waited patiently.
The Maidservant prepared hot water as she got a towel, soap and a fresh nightgown for Larien. She got a few other Elf servants to help her bring it down to the Healing room.
In the healing room Lady Idril was sitting there with her daughter as she sang an Elven Lullaby. This helped Larien relax as she heard her mother’s sweet voice and hand stroking the top of her forehead with her thumb as her fingertips caressed the top of her scalp.
Legolas was waiting patiently as he popped his head inside the healing room. Lady Idril waved him inside as he walked into the room hearing the sweet melody.
He smiled sweetly and said, “May I sit with Larien for a moment? It would not take long, just a mere moment?” Legolas was hoping he could speak to Larien before he left to aid in tattlattle.
Lady Idril smiled, “Of course, I need to see what is taking Lord Elrond so long in preparing for the things I asked. Do not be long as she needs to rest, Prince Legolas.”
“I will not be long.” He stated as he nodded at Lady Idril.
Lady Idril took one last look before she hoped the door and closed it behind her. She walked off hurriedly around the corner to see what was taking them so long.
A fate voice said, “Is that you Legolas?” She turned and opened her blue-green eyes half way.
“Yes, Larien. I wanted to just speak with you for a moment before I left to aid Haldir in the battle just beyond these borders.” He looked down to the marble flooring as he said these words. Legolas did not want to leave her for he was falling in love.
He walked over and dropped to his knee’s by the bed as she stared up at the sky blue eyes that were looking into her own eyes.
Her squeaky faint voice spoke, “Legolas, before you leave, I wanted to ask you something?” As her voice trailed off as she paused in silence.
“Yes, what is it?” Legolas asked as he waited patiently for her to speak.
Half bloodshot blue green eyes gazed up at him, “I have to know if what I am feeling in my heart is true, (She coughed as a tear slid down her check)~
Legolas broke in, “Do not try to speak, est (rest).”
Her head shook slowly, “Kiss me before you leave, Please.” She stated.
Legolas smiled and said, “If this is what you wish, then I will honor that request.”
He reached down and whipped away the tear that slid down her face as his fingers snaked slowly around the curve of her jaw line. He reached down and just brushed his lips over hers. He wanted to taste more of her so he deepened the kiss as his tongue slipped inside her wet mouth. Her tongue swept over his as they danced. It felt likeetereternity as the kiss only lasted for a moment. He slowly retracted his tongue from her mouth as she smiled up at him.
mot motioned for him to bring his ear down to her mouth, “Diola lle, (thank you), sweet Legolas for I have waited to long to say this, Amin Mela lle. (I love you)” A faint whisper could be heard in his ear although when she spoke those very last words in his ear he could have sworn that his heart skipped a beat.
He removed his ear and mouthed the very same words to her, “Amin Mela lle.” She could only mange a half sweet smile, however, it was enough for Legolas.
He pushed back a hair that fell into he face, “Take rest now, I will pray that your strength returns to you. I wanted to tell you that I would be leaving to aid in the battle that brews on beyond these borders. Know that I will return to you, my love.” Legolas stated.
Almost to faint for the ear, “Be careful.” As the words slip out of her mouth she fell into a deep sleep.
Legolas kissed her on the check and said softly, “I will come back for you!” He got up off the marble as he heard Lady Idril opening the door.
Speaking softly, “Dina, she is asleep.”
Lady Idril put her finger up to her mouth to alert her servants to not wake the sleeping Larien. Legolas walked over to the door as he gave Lady Idril a nod. She came in behind him as he was exiting the room.
The Maidservants followed closely behind as they began to whip the dirty and blood off of her face and body. They had taken her bloody and sweat clothes off as Lady Idril told them to burn them. Lady Larien was sleeping through all of this as she was changed into a fresh nightgown and dreaming of Legolas.
Legolas walked around the corner where Lord Elrond was sitting. He was speaking to Arwen as Legolas waited patiently to converse with Lord Elrond before he left.
When he was done Legolas stated, “I will be leaving to help aid in the war that still wages on just beyond the borders, I will return in a few weeks to see how the fair Larien is recovering.”
“I think that will be best, be careful, Prince Legolas, I do not wish to see you injured also. Please heed my words as I know you are a mighty warrior.” Lord Elrond was speaking to him as a father.
“Do not despair, I shall be all right as I have been in many battles before, but I will take your advice, Lord Elrond.” Legolas extended his hand to him as they shook.
With that Legolas turned around the corner and disappeared into the night. Before he got on his horse a voice made him turn around.
“Legolas, Thank you for your kindness with my sister. You are a true friend and now I see what she had seen all these years about you.” She walked over and hugged him.
As she released from the hug and stepped back, he said, “You are quite welcome, Lady Arwen.” He smiled warmly.
“I must be off to aid Haldir.” He bid Arwen farewell and jumped onto his horse. Arwen watched as his horse disappeared into the night. Then she descended into her home and went to check on her sister.
