Javad - King of the land of Far Harad
Behdad - Haradrim Priest of the Dark Lord Sauron
Arya - Whore-master in Harad; Master of Legolas / Dafi
Bardia - Slaver who first bought Legolas / Dafi
Kebu - Marauder who captured and then sold Legolas / Dafi to the Haradrim slavers
Emau - A younger son to Javad; an acolyte to Behdad
Elves:
Thranduil - Elvenking of Mirkwood
Legolas / Dafi - Son to Thranduil and rightful heir to the throne of Mirkwood. He disappeared without a trace many years ago on the borders of his father’s realm after his patrol was ambushed and massacred by marauders. As a slave in Harad, he was given the name of Dafi after the grief of his capture and subsequent torments rendered him mute. Through his late mother’s line, he carries the rare gift of male fertility.
Thalielwen- Thranduil's queen and mother of Legolas; died at the hands of Orcs when Legolas was still a child.
Ruthlagor - Brother in law and advisor to Thranduil; was once bodyguard to Queen Thalielwen, who he was unable to save from an Orc attack. Is considered arrogant and ambitious especially as his elder son is now Thranduil’s heir.
Mereniel - The elder sister of King Thranduil; wife to Ruthlagor and mother of Leralonde, Ethiel and Meldamiriel.
Leralonde - Eldest son of Ruthlagor and Mereniel; first in line to the Mirkwood throne now that Legolas is believed dead.
Feredir - Adopted son of Thranduil; in reality, son to a brother of Queen Thalielwen, a fertile male, who sailed to Valinor many years ago, leaving his son in the care of Mirkwood’s king and queen.
Alatariel - Elleth from Lorien; wife to Feredir
Ithilhen - Young son of Feredir and Alatariel. (Literally, the name means moon child.)
Morwen - Young Elleth who died in the massacre of Legolas' patrol; had been betrothed to the crown prince.
Ciel - Female warrior in Mirkwood; friend of Legolas.
Esarulir – Cousin of Thranduil; next in line to the throne after Legolas and the two sons of Ruthlagor. His daughter is conveniently betrothed to Ruthlagor's younger son.
Saelbeth - One of Thranduil's advisors; secretly longtime lover of Prince Leralonde.
Ethiel – Thranduil’s younger nephew; second son of Ruthlagor and Mereniel.
Vaurna – Chief Royal Healer in Mirkwood.
Meldamiriel - The daughter of Ruthlagor and Mereniel, an elven cleric.
Other Elves:
Nardol - Trusted bodyguard of Legolas who sailed to Valinor almost two-hundred years ago.
Aphadon – Friend of Legolas; died in the massacre of Legolas’ patrol.
