chapter 10

Linil---- I am glad you are enjoying my story... I hope to update more soon..

Authors Notes: Just a small chapter since I have not updated in sooooooooo long

Erestor slowly started over his life in Glorfindel’s home. It was not easy at first but with the support of his closest friends he started to make great head way. Several things had changed for him one of the best ones was he was now allowed to help out in the library. Another was he was taking classes to learn to read and write, and learn numbers. He learned that he understood these very well and looked forward to his classes as much as he enjoyed working in the library.

One thing that was still the same was he still shared a room with Glorfindel but he had seen very little of Glorfindel since his return. He came to bed long after he was asleep and was gone come morning. A part of him was glad but another part, the part that still loved the golden haired warrior, longed for him. Every morning on his pillow beside his head he would find a yellow flower freshly cut, and every night he would find a red rose with all the thorns cut off.

Over the months following his return his heart gradually healed and he would find his thought staying to his Lord. So it was a heart-shattering moment when he happened to glace out of a upper window one day to see the object of his thought with a young warrior trainee in the garden, the two seemed in Erestor’s opinion too closer and seemed to friendly. As he stood there watching the two he seen the young warrior place his hand upon Glorfindel’s chest and lean over placing his lip to his. A fury he had never known washed over him, storming way he missed seeing Glorfindel push the other way. All day he was in such a mood that none of the other librarians would come near him. He worked long into the night finding this and that to occupy his mind and help to lessen his rage. It was when he was in the middle of reorganizing a shelf for the fourth time that the little voice started to back through his rage.

“Why are you mad, you are just a pet and a broking one at that. Pets have not say on who their masters are with, and what can you expect, you are not doing your job so how can you expect him to not find it else where.”

“But he severely beat me?”

“You are his pet, he can beat you, he can do what ever he wants to and you have no say in it. He could kill you and none would hold it against him. YOU ARE A PET. That is what you are here for. If you do not want him to be with someone else then DO YOUR JOB!”

Erestor slowly place the book on the shelf, the realization was shattering. He had been denying his Master that which he was there for and nothing was happening to him. HE was not being punished for it. His Master was letting him get away with it. He was giving him time to heal. All the anger, all the hurt just washed away as the love he once felt for his Master came over him. Taking a deep breath he headed to his Master’s chambers and to his Master’s arms once more.
