Summary: Have you ever had one of ‘those’ days dealing with your kid?
A/N: A six-year old elflings is approximately equal to a four-year old human. The word “Ama” is of my own creation. It is what a ellian (hermaphrodite) parent is called in my universe. This story follows "House and Home~Anything."

Glorfindel sat his youngest daughter, Fox, on a bench near the training fields and tried to round up the rest of his gaggle of children. While he was in the process of spreading out a large blanket on the ground he noticed the six-year old Fox was squirming around on the bench. She fidgeted, fussed, and inched all over the bench while she played with the skirt of her play dress. Glorfindel realized the skirt she was playing with was riding indecently high, and he stopped what he was doing to pull the skirt back down. Fox glared at the captain, and hurmphed while she crossed her arms indignantly.

“Don’t be so cross, angel,” Glorfindel placated as he went about setting out toys, snacks, and other goodies for the children to occupy themselves with while he was training.

“Why do I have to put my dress down?”

“Because that is how dresses are to be worn. You do not pull up the hem of your dress.” Trying to reason with a six-year old was like trying to break down a brick wall with your forehead: you get nowhere and end up with a headache.

“But why?”

“Because I said so.”

“But why?”

“That’s just the way it is.”

“But why?”

“Because you don’t want all the warriors to see your panties!” Glorfindel finally scolded his daughter as he shook his finger at her admonishingly.

Fox giggled. “But they won’t see my panties, Ama!”

Glorfindel raised his eyebrow. “And why not?”

“Because I’m not wearing any!”
