Epilogue
... several years later:
“Ada Ro, Ada Ro... look what I’ve learned today. I can write my name – look.”
Elrohir caught the silver haired little one in his arms...
“That is wonderful, Ithilion... Let me have a look at this.”
“Can we show Ada Mel too?”
The young Peredhel twin kissed the elflings brow and whispered: “But of course we can.”
Together they walked to the place where Melpomaen’s body had been buried. The white marble gravestone was already covered with soft green moss.
Ithilion wiggled free from Elrohir’s arms and went to touch the stone.
“Look ada, I’ve learned to write my name. And I didn’t even blot with the ink. Erestor said I am talented with the quill.”
Behind the little one’s back, Elrohir wiped a tear from his cheek and silently said: “I wish you could see him, Mel. You would be so proud of him. I am... He’s already a little scribe – just like his father was. If only you were here, Mel... I miss you so.”
But Elrohir had no time to hold onto those sad thoughts for small hands tugged at his tunic.
“Ada Ro? Can you tell me how my ada came to Imladris?”
“But you’ve already heard this story a thousand times.”
“Saes... tell me again!” Ithilion made puppy eyes at the Elrohir and the young Half-elf had to laugh...
“Alright, alright... Come here. Sit in my lap... Well, everything began in a very cold winter night, the night when you were born....”
The end.

I know it has taken me a very long time to finish this story, I'm sorry for that.
I also want to thank all those who always encouraged me to go on - you guys are great!
This story doesn't truly end here - I'm already planning a sequel, though I don't know, when I'll be able to write it down.
Again thank you for reading my story - I hope you enjoyed it.
