part 8.3
part 8.3
“Oh, Elladan, come out. You cannot hide in there the whole day.”
“Yes, I can!”
“No you cannot! We are already late for breakfast – I’m hungry, muindor!!! Come on, don’t be such a coward!”
Almost two weeks had passed since Elladan lost his wager with Legolas, although his prank hadn’t worked. The three young elves had been visibly disappointed, when the next morning they had found just the sheet in the hall. Erestor himself hadn’t lost a word about the incident. None the less Legolas had won the wager and ordered a dress in Elladan’s size, which the tailor had delivered only yesterday.
“Elladan! Come out now, or I come in! You won’t begrudge Legolas the fun of his little triumph...”
The door opened and the older twin stepped hesitantly outside. His brother doubled over with laughter.
“Oh...Elladan, really... you look...SWEET! Legolas truly has outdone himself.”
The young Peredhel wore a pink velvet dress, decorated with a great white silken bow in the front and many white frills at the seam. Legolas had also met with the twin in the early morning hours and braided pink ribbons and little white flowers in the dark brown hair. Truly a sight to behold...
Elladan’s face turned to crimson when they entered the hall and took their places at their fathers side on the family table. The whole hall had become deadly silent, everyone just stared at the Peredhel. Arwen was the first who couldn’t hold back any longer and had to laugh.
“Oh Elladan, really, pink suits you well!” The wole household was laughing by now and Elrond turned to his wife.
“Ah, meleth, I always thought we had two ion and one iell... but now I’m not so sure anymore...”
There were only two elves in the hall, who weren’t amused.
Things had become awkward between the seneschal and the advisor and no one, except for Elrond, knew what had happened a fortnight ago. Glorfindel and Erestor tried to avoid each other as best as they could, but it was impossible not to encounter in the hall or the council room. Not one word was spoken between them but everyone around could feel the unpleasant tension in the air.
***
Legolas was standing in the library behind a bookshelf when Elrond and Glorfindel entered. He didn’t want to eavesdrop but it was to late to draw their attention to himself, as they were already having a lively discussion. So all he could do was to stay behind the bookshelf and wait for them to leave again.
Glorfindels voice suddenly became a little louder.
“NO, Elrond. I will definitely NOT talk to him. I know you are his friend and I’m sorry that we are such a burden to you.”
“I’m your friend as well and I see that you both are hurting. Do not be so stubborn, make the first step. I know him. I’m sure he didn’t mean to harm you with his words.”
“You do not know, what he said to me... He meant every word, believe me. I never thought Erestor THAT cold, but...”
“He was still confused because of that prank.”
“Elrond, I made my decision and nothing you can say will change that. I will go to Lorien tomorrow – I cannot bear to see him any longer. I’ll ride at dawn.”
“How long will you stay?”
“I don’t know, a year – maybe longer.”
“But Imladris is your home.”
“And it is not easy for me to go, I will miss my friends, you, the twins, Legolas... but try to understand. I lost my heart here and it will break if I don’t go...”
“You are determined to leave... and it seems I have to accept that, mellon-nîn. But you will say goodbye to my children and Legolas.”
“I will talk to them tonight. We should go to the barracks now and inform my second-in-command.”
When they had left the room, Legolas tried to think about the things he had just learned. Glorfindel would leave Imladris and it all was his fault, because Erestor had been upset about the prank and said something bad to the blond warrior.
//NO! I cannot accept that, I have to do something. He cannot leave me... he simply cannot!!!” and he hastened to Erestors study. Although he had tried hard not to cry, tears were streaming down his cheeks, when he entered without knocking. Erestor was sitting at his desk and already wanted to scold him for his lacking manners, when he saw the young one’s distressed state.
“Legolas, pen-neth... what has upset you so?”
“Master Erestor, I’m so sorry...saes, it was all my fault... he had nothing to do with it, saes do not let him leave me...”
“Calm down Legolas! What was your fault?”
“The prank. The ghost...It was alone my idea. Saes, forgive me! It’s all my fault. Do not let him leave, saes!!!”
“But who’s leaving?”
“Glorfindel is. He wants to ride to Lorien at dawn and stay there!”
Erestor felt a stabbing pain in his chest at hearing the young elf’s words. Glorfindel was leaving? Why made this thought his heart ache?
Legolas looked at his tutor with pleading eyes.
“Saes, you can do with me whatever you want to, but saes, talk to Glorfindel.”
“You really like him, pen-neth, don’t you?”
“He’s the kindest elf I’ve ever met. He has always time for me and I can tell him everything. And he makes me laugh and I forget my sorrow, when he’s around.”
“Yes, that’s our Glorfindel... Don’t worry Legolas, I won’t punnish you for you prank. But now leave me alone, I have some thinking to do! I promise you, I will talk to Glorfindel this evening.”
***
Glorfindel was packing his most loved belongings, a book with poetry from Gondolin and the wooden flute, that once had belonged to his best friend Ecthelion. It was not easy to leave, because he wasn’t sure if it wasn’t for good. Maybe he was about to loose his Second home too, but he knew he had no other choice. Staying here meant to be constantly reminded of Erestors rejection and in time, his heart would surely break at that.
He opened the wardrobe when someone knocked at the door.
“Who’s there?”
“Erestor.”
“What do you want?”
“Talk to you, saes.”
Glorfindel sighed. “Come in!”
Erestor entered the room, holding many Gondolin roses in his arm.
“There are not enough roses to tell you how sorry I am.” and he dropped the flowers to the floor at Glorfindels feet.
“Is that all, advisor? Don’t you think it’s a little late for regrets? Did Elrond demanded that gesture of you? Tell him I will go to Lorien and he cannot change that! Please, leave me alone now!”
“I will leave, but not before you listened to me!!!”
Erestor closed the door and locked it, then he stepped to the open window and throw the key out of it.
“ERESTOR!!!”
“Now you HAVE to listen to me. Saes, I owe you that much.”
“I have no idea what news you could possibly tell me.”
“Nothing new, but an explanation. I know, the things I said to you are unforgivable but when you kissed me in your study, I...I panicked.”
“What a great compliment. I never thought that kissing me could be so... terrifying.”
“No you don’t understand, you... I...” –Erestor sighed. Then he took a deep breath and said with a small voice:
“Have I ever told you of my childhood? I don’t think so... Perhaps you know that I grew up in Lindon, but I did not live there with my parents. I never knew them. They died in an orc attack, two months after my birth. My uncle took me in his house, but he only did so, because the king ordered him to. He hated me, beat me almost every day. Once I was a little older I had to work for him. He was an armorer, so I had to care for the fire, but the coal shovel was too heavy for me and the fire went out. Every time that happened my uncle took his waistbelt and lashed out at me. One day my tutor became aware of my injuries and he arranged that I would be fostered in the palace alongside with other elflings, who all showed a great intelligence. I was told, that I was only allowed to stay as long as I learned hard, or else I had to go back to my uncle. Believe me, I worked harder than the others altogether, but that left me no time for friends. I stayed in the palace, became a scribe and later one of the High-Kings advisors, that’s when I met Elrond... and after the war he asked me to go with him to Imladris as his chief-advisor and I accepted. You know the rest... The people think me cold, maybe they are right, but I learned very early that my wit and my dignity were the only things that count – they are all I have!!!”
After Erestor had finished his story, both elves stood in silence, until Glorfindel cleared his throat.
“I’m sorry for you Erestor, I see now, how little I knew of your past. But still I have to go... saes, understand me: I love you, Erestor and everytime I see you I can feel my heart break a little more. There is no other way!”
“NO! You cannot leave. What of Legolas, of your friends? They will miss you. I WILL MISS YOU!!!”
“What did you say?”
“You heard right. I will miss you... when you kissed me, I panicked not because I did not want you, but because I felt something too, something I never felt before. I cannot let you go... Saes, do not leave me.”
Erestor stepped forward and softly brushed his lips against Glorfindel’s. He burried his nose in the seneschals hair and whispered into his ear:
“Forgive me... saes...don’t leave me, ind-nîn.”
Hearing this sweet endearment, Glorfindels heart skipped a beat and he brought their mouths together in a crushing kiss. Time stood still and earth stopped to exist and none of them could say later, for how long they had simply stood there kissing. Nothing mattered for Glorfindel now but Erestors sweet lips and the little hands that began to unbutton his tunic. The seneschal thought he would die when he felt the dark elves lips at his throat and soft fingers roaming his chest – the feeling went straight to his groin.
“Erestor, lirimaer... we do not have to go any further now. I don’t want you to do something you might regret later.”
“No, saes ind-nîn... I want that... I want you to have me. Don’t stop... Make me yours!”
Hearing that, Glorfindel couldn’t restrain himself anymore. He pushed Erestor softly towards the bed and both got down on the silken sheets. He opened Erestors robe and trailed his tongue over the smooth skin. The advisor moaned when he felt the warrior sucking and biting his nipple. Glorfindel freed them both from their disturbing clothes and continued his exploration of the other’s body. Erestor cried out, when he felt his lovers breath at his proudly errect member and fisted the sheets as seconds later sweet lips closed around the tip of his arousal. But the warrior stopped his caresses and reached for the top drawer of his nightstand.
“Don’t worry, meleth... I will make this good for you!”
From the drawer he took a small vial, filled with his favourite oil and opened it. He coated his fingers and then sat between Erestors legs. Slowly he brought his hand at the dark elfs backside and slid his fingers up and down the cleft. Erestor squirmed under his touch and arched his back when a well oiled finger slowly entered him. There was a little discomfort but he didn’t feel it anymore when Glorfindel brought his head down and swallowed his arousal completely. In the back of his mind Erestor registered another finger entering him and then a third, but there was no pain. And then his lover touched something inside him that made Erestor seeing stars.
“Valar! Again... saes, do that again.”
The seneschal gently stretched and prepared the advisor until he was ready for him. He withdraw his fingers slowly and stopped the caresses with his mouth. Erestor grunted frustrated. Glorfindel coated his member and spoke with a soft voice:
“I will have you now, lirimaer. Try to relax... it will be wonderful, trust me!”
And laid atop his lover and slowly pressed his oiled shaft into the thight opening. Erestor held his breath.
“Relax, meleth – oh, you feel so good, so tight...”
He sheated himself completely but then stopped all movements to give Erestor time to adjust until he heard soft moans and began at first just to rock his hips gently. Soon he had his lover demanding for more and started to trust into the velvet heat, driving them both towards their climax. Glorfindel reached between their bodies and began to stroke Erestor arousal. Just a few touches were enough to drive the dark elf over the edge, spilling his seed over the warrior’s hand. Glorfindel felt the muscles clench around his shaft and came hard inside his lover, crying out the advisors name. He carefully withdraw from Erestors body and then collapsed in the advisor’s arms.
“That was incredible – I love you Erestor!”
“And you will not leave me? Say it! Say it!”
“No, I will not leave you, never!”
