CH 10. Revealing of a life and the proposal
Legolas had knocked, but the ladies did not hear it, so he peaked in make sure everyone was decent. He opened the door softly and saw Lady Chrissy.
A little caught off guard he thought, “She is absolutely the most stunning thing he had ever lady eyes on.”
Politely Legolas stated, “Vedui' il'er, sorry I meant, Hello.”
The Elf maiden stated and bowed, “She is ready, Prince Legolas.”
They walked out the door and into the dining hall. King Thranduil was there, waiting on them to arrive. He saw the two enter but noticed Lady Chrissy right away.
King Thranduil thought, “She is so lovely this evening, her smile brightens up the whole room.”
They spoke to King Thranduil about tomorrow’s journey as they ate the dinner that was prepared.
King Thranduil asked, “Lady Chrissy, is the accommodations to your liking here in Mirkwood?”
Chrissy responded, “Why yes, everything is wonder! I especially like the gardens out back and it is very lovely.”
King Thranduil said, “Aye, the gardens, what a sight, I am glad your time here has been suitable.”
After the conversation, Legolas asked, “Would you care to dance, Lady Chrissy?”
She smiled sweetly and replied, “Of course.”
They danced some and headed off to sleep for their big journey tomorrow. Before they left King Thranduil stopped them and wished them a Goodnight.
Legolas invited her to sleep in his room because he did not want another episode of last night’s events.
When they had gotten into bed he said sweetly, “Sleep well my love, the journey that awaits us tomorrow is going to be a long one.”
Tiredly Chrissy asked, “How long is this journey?”
Legolas answered, “It’s a 3 day journey.”
A little scared, she said, “That is a long time to be camping in the woods! I hope we do not run into any Orc’s or Warg Riders. I do not want to see their faces, especially the Warg Riders.”
Legolas answered with a hopeful smile, “I do wish the same but let us get some rest before day break.”
Chrissy and Legolas got into the bed. He gave her a tender kiss and pulled his lady close to him as they both drifted to sleep.
In the middle of the night something strange was happening inside of Chrissy’s head. She began to dream of tovelovely Rivendell and it was in this beautiful Palace with a huge staircase.
This place was decorated in the unusual steal that was infused into the stone. Shivers went down Chrissy’s back as she felt like she had been in this place before.
She stared at all the candles that were standing up in the steal holders. The glass in the windows was stained and truly remarkable as it reminded her of the Tiffany style stained glass back home.
In the distance, Chrissy saw a female and she was calling out her name. It was almost familiar as if she had known the very voice that was calling to her.
The beautiful Lady said in a musical voice, “Larien, come, I have been waiting for thee.”
Bewildered Chrissy thought, “That isn’t my name, why does she call me this?”
Then Chrissy went over to the beautiful lady but noticed the pointy ears right away. The female had dark lovely hair and blue eyes. She was very beautiful and noticed her eye color was the same as her own.
The female smiled and said, “I was beginning to think that you would never hear me calling for you.”
Questioning the female, “Who are you?”
The female replied with a smile, “I am your sister, Arwen. Do you not recognize your own kin?” Chrissy sat there flabbergasted and did not know what to say to this lady.
Confused, Chrissy replied, “I do not have any family and if I did have a sister I would know of it.”
Arwen said in a happy tone, “You have lots of kin that is awaiting your arrival.”
Chrissy asked, “Arwen, why do you say things that are not true?”
The She-Elf’s eye rose, “This is true what I speak!” Arwen replied, aggravation was in her tone.
Chrissy decided that thas jas just to much for her ears and she got up running out of the room.
Arwen yelled out, “You cannot run from your past, this where you belong with your natural kin and it will become full circle soon.”
Chrissy flung up out of the bed startled by what the lady spoke about and in the process she almost hit Legolas in the face but he caught her hand by his great reflexes.
Chrissy abruptly got out of bed and started run down the hallway. She was frightened by what this lady had said about her having Elf kin. She made her way out to the garden and sat on the bench by the Lilac bush.
Legolas was following close behind and finally caught up. He saw her sitting by the bench and sat next to the troubled woman. He put his arms around to comfort her from what it was that awoke her so abruptly.
Legolas waited for her to speak but she was sitting there shaking, however, he didn’t know if it was because she was scared or if it was the chilly night air.
Chrissy did not say anything him, so Legolas spoke, “What troubles your soul, Me lamin?”
Chrissy looked into his eyes as tears flickered down, “I see people everywhere in my dreams, they either want to hurt me or they are telling me that I am there relative. I am so confused right now and all of this is just hard to believe.”
As he listened attentively about the dreams she was having, however, the guards that were patrolling the area quickly interrupted them.
The guard concerned said, “Prince Legolas is everything alright?”
Legolas stated, “Uma, everything is alright, just breathing in the night air.” He said this to divert attention away from the guards so they would not question Lady Chrissy.
The guard heard what Legolas said and moved on to patrol the surrounding area.
With a patient voice Legolas said, “It will be morning soon let us return back to the room.
Chrissy said harshly, “I will not go back to the room to have more nightmares!”
When this was said, she got up and stormed away from Legolas. She was so confused about all the events and what these dreams were about to unleash. Legolas did not know how to handle the outburst.
Legolas thought, “What is wrong with Lady Chrissy? Why is she acting so harshly? Did I say something to the woman to upset her? Humans always act with their emotions!”
Legolas knew that she was upset about the dreams so he decided to find Lady Chrissy, however, he decided to give her a head start to clear her mind.
She walked off towards the castle and began to talk softly to herself. “Why does he want to save me all of the time? I don’t understand why he can not just give me some space!”
When she was speaking openly, she did not realize that someone there listening.
A male voice behind her stated, “It is not wise to speak in the open air, someone near by may hear what thee wind is saying.”
This shocked Chrissy as she turned around to see who was speaking. It was a man that was all in white and he had a long gray beard. He was standing up against a white column.
Surprised Chrissy asked, “Who are you and why are you listening to me?”
The man stated, “I am no one really but I know of you my dear!”
Chrissy’s eyebrow rose up in curiosity because of what he said of knowing her but she did not know him.
Questioning him, she asked, “Who am I then?”
The man said with a smile, “You are Lady Chrissy but you do not accept who you really are, this is why you are having these troubling dreams.”
With a harsh tone Chrissy replied, “Yes this is true, my name is Chrissy, however, you do not know of what your talking about because if you were me then you would know what my troubles are but since you do not know then it would be wise for you not to pry in to others lives!”
The old man challenged her words, “I do know of your troubles, what you have faced the the dreams of Larien, daughter of Lord Elrond! This is your past speaking to set you free because you are the keeper of the daughter of Lord Elrond weather you believe it or not child.”
Like a child, Chrissy lifted up her hands and covered her ears with them.
Loudly Chrissy said, “These are lies that you speak and how dare you tell me who I am for I know who I am and whose I am! I am not of this Middle Earth but of some place that you had never heard of before.”
The man grabbed her stubborn hands and said, “You will have to accept you’re past one way or another because it was your mother who hid you from all of the madness! I know who haunts your dreams and why he wants your very soul!”
Chrissy didn’t want to hear the very words he said because she knew that what he was telling was the truth about her life. For she knew that deep down inside she could possibly be Larien but did not want to admit it.
Then he let her go as he saw the stubborn eyes relax into a more calm reasonable tone.
Chrissy sat down on a rock and said, “I am sorry for acting childish in front of a total stranger, Could you forgive me?”
The old man said, “Aye, my dear all is forgiven and forgotten.” He took out his pipe and began filling it with the dark grounds. He lit the pipe and smoke filled the night air.
Chrissy sat there curious to what he had said before about the Evil wizard wanting her soul. She watched as the old man smoked his pipe.
Curiously she asked, “Why does he want my soul?”
The old wizard heard Legolas approach for he had been there ever since her out burst.
The old man stated, “Saurmon wants your soul because it’s pure as the earth just as your mother. Your very soul is the key in unlocking these horrible dreams but my child you will first need to trust in your self. He also wants you for himself, he was banished long ago and now seeks revenge! ”
Chrissy was mesmerized by what Gandolf had just said. She sat there for a few moments to gather all inf information he had just shared.
Curious Chrissy asked, “May I ask your name?”
The old man smiled and said, “I am surprised that you do not know it, Lady Chrissy.”
Chrissy glared at him and said, “I do not who you are, why don’t you tell me, I’m not a physic?” He gave her a strange look because of the language barrier.
The old man stated, “My name is Gandolf, I am a Wizard who does good magic.”
Chrissy pondered the term magic because it was not something she believed in at all. She was a Christian and they do not use such magic.
Challenging him, she asked, “Isn’t that wrong to use magic?”
Gandolf said confused, “In what way is magic wrong if you are using it to help others?”
Chrissy wanted to challenge him with what she was taught. She began by saying, “In my world I do not play around with any kind of magic. It is written in the Bible that you are not to play around with witchcraft. Why do you play with magic, don’t you know that you could go to a place were it’s hot all day and hideous, ugly creatures dwelling for the very soul that commits this act?” she asked.
Gandolf did not know what to say because he had no memory of what she was speaking of about the Bible and such.
So he replied, “In time my dear you will understand what to do with the gift that is laid before you.”
Chrissy said, “I do not know why I am here but if this is true then I guess I will see what is in store for my future.”
Legolas appeared as he walked from behind where Chrissy was sitting. He said, “Gandolf how are you my wise friend?”
Gandolf happily stated, “Ah, Legolas it is great to see you. It’s has been quite sometime since I’ve seen you.”
Legolas glared at the woman and said, “I see you’ve met Lady Chrissy!”
Gandolf answered, “Yes we’ve had quite the conversation.”
Legolas stated, “I have heard you speak about the dreams and what theyn. In. If this is true then s-h.” Legolas was interrupt by a glare that Chrissy had given him.
Angrily Chrissy said, “Do not even say it Legolas! Please don’t say what your about to say. (She paused) My life has been a lie until now and it’s hard to swallow that all of this is even real!”
Gandolf interrupted, “Do not be mad at Legolas for he knows how to help your troubled mind but it is not the time.”
Gandolf looked over at Legolas and said, “You will know the hour in which you will need to aid Lady Chrissy.” Legolas just eyed him and gave him a nod to let him know that he understood.
Chrissy didn’t know what to think about the information that was revealed right before her eyes. She was in this thinking mode and began to get up to walk away. She had been mean to everyone and was trying to figure it out.
Just as she was leaving she heard Gandolf say to Legolas, “Leave her be, she needs time to think of these events.” She knew Legolas would be right behind her soon.
Chrissy walked off into the woods and contemplated the situation for a moment. She knew daybreak was soon arriving and looked up in to the sky as she realized that she just had a nightgown on. She was freezing and didn’t realize it. She went back into the Palace and back to her room. She changed and headed back to the garden where she saw Legolas sitting staring at the sky.
Chrissy walked over and sat down beside him. She didn’t know what to say because this was not her way of letting out anger by acting so foolish. She couldn’t find the words to say but thought of something.
Nervously Chrissy spoke, “I am so sorry for being just right out rude to you. All of these dreams have just taken a toll on my emotions.”
Legolas didn’t even look up at her for he was quite agitated with her actions. Now she was getting fearful because she did not want him to be upset with the way she acted.
Fidgeting Chrissy said, “Please do not be upset by my emotional moodiness? I am so confused about what to do.”
Legolas was trying to find the right words to speak to Lady Chrissy. He thought about just sitting there and not saying a word but deep down inside, Legolas could not do this to his beloved.
Legolas finally looked over at Lady Chrissy as she touched his hand gently, rubbing it with her fingertips. Legolas looked into her apologetic eyes and could tell they were sincere as her heart. He couldn’t help but to accept her apology because he loved her so much. At that moment, He now knew the truth about what Larien had said in his dreams.
Legolas loved being touch by her hands, they were soft and gentle. The back of his had moved delicately up her arm and eventually touching her face. He brought her close to him and began to kiss her lips passionately. The kiss left her heart filling up with emotions and felt that Legolas could take her anywhere.
Legolas was so caught up in the making up he had forgotten all about their journey. He finally broke from her lips and the embrace, for he did not want to but knew time was slipping away.
Sweetly Chrissy asked, “Are we okay, Legolas?”
Legolas smiled and answered, “Aye, we are perfect.”
Legolas added, “I don’t want this to end but its time for us to make our way to Rivendell.”
Chrissy agreed and started towards the Palace but Legolas stopped her before they processed to the horses.
Lovingly Legolas spoke, “One more thing before we get ready, Lets not argue again, my love?”
Chrissy nodded her head that she agreed and he reached down to kiss her once more before they left. Before he let go of her, Legolas what to ask her something.
Legolas lifted her hand up in his and said, “Close your eyes and don’t peak!”
Chrissy replied, “Alright, I trust you Legolas.”
As her eyes closed, she was thinking, “What is he doing?”
With her eyes closed she felt him get something out of his pocket. Legolas slipped something on her ring finger and her knees got weak.
Then Legolas said, “You may open them.”
Chrissy opened them and looked down at the most beautiful ring that she had ever seen. It was a ruby with little diamonds around the sides and golden leafs around the thin gold band.
Then Legolas did the unexpected as he got down on one knee and said, “I know your kind offers a symbol of love and it was my mothers before she died. She told me to give it to someone that I could love for the rest of my days. Its you, who I want this ring to be given to, even if your not Larien.”
Chrissy was speechless and floored by the proposal. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think of being purposed to by an Elf.
All sorts of emotions hit Chrissy’s heart and she loved him so much that she knew deep down he was the one she had waited for all these 27 years.
With tears of joy, she replied, “Are you asking for my hand in marriage Legolas?”
He answered with a smile, “Uma, my love, I am asking you!”
She stood there in the morning sunrise looking at this ring that Legolas had just slipped on her finger.
With the tears overflowing out of her eyes, “Yes I will marry you!” She answered.
They kissed a little longer and Legolas said, “Aye, my beautiful bride to be, shall we start on the journey?”
Nervously Chrissy asked, “Before we go, lets keep this to our selves?”
Legolas said with curious eyes, “Why do you wish our love to be kept in secrecy?”
Chrissy thought for a moment before she answered him. “I just thought when the time was right, we could let everyone know.”
With love in Legolas’s eyes, “I will keep this a secret!”
They walked together to the stables where the horses were kept, to get a head start on the day.
Legolas had already had most of the things done ahead of time. Yesterday he even had it pre-arranged for Lady Chrissy’s bag to be packed. He had his packed the night before their trip to Rivendell. Legolas got out his horse, Aldo, which had already been saddled and put everything he would need on the horse for the journey.
Gandolf and another Elf went along, his name was Elendil, with Lady Chrissy and Legolas. In search of Lady Chrissy’s past, however, along this journey there is going to be some trials for the innocent young woman. Gandolf sensed something brewing in the air with his enemy Saurmon.
As they were departing, King Thranduil and his advisor were there to see them off on their journey.
The King hugged his son and said, “Be Careful my dear son. I need you to be the next ruler!”
Legolas just laughed and said, “I know dear Ada! I will stay safe.”
Then the King turned to Gandolf asking, “When did you get into Mirkwood, my old friend?”
Gandolf replied, “Last night and its good to see you as well! I see you haven’t aged a bit since the last time you and I had an unteunter!” King Thranduil laughed at what the old wizard as said about his age.
King Thranduil walked over to Lady Chrissy and stared into the deep blue-green eyes for a moment, the beauty of the woman was just breath taking. Being the detailed Elf he was, the King took notice of a ring that was on her left hand.
King Thranduil glanced over at Legolas and knew what the ring was that was laying upon her finger. He had given it to his love many years ago and knew that Legolas must have loved her a lot to just give it away unworthy.
Then King Thranduil just smiled and did not say a word about the ring for he knew there must have been a reason the tid nid not announce this.
Lastly, King Thranduil finally spoke to the woman and said, “Farewell Lady Chrissy, I hope you find the answer you seek about the past and may the Valar go with you all.” He kissed her hand.
Chrissy thought that was sweet of King Thranduil to say those words. She leaned forward to hug the King and he was shocked for no one would dare do this in Mirkwood, however, he let it slid. She smelled peppermint and a hint of some kind of colobut but could not make out the smell. She released out of his embrace and walked over to the horse.
Legolas helped Lady Chrissy get on the horse and she got nervous about being on the big animal. She contemplates with a glare at Legolas with hesitant eyes that seem to leave a questionable look on her face about the horse.
Legolas observed the look for a moment and said, “Is there something the matter, my love?”
Fidgeting she answered, “I have never been on a horse before!”
Legolas smiled and said, “My dear, I think you shall make it on Aldo, he has made several journey’s with me, it shall be all right.”
He mounted the woman on the horse and then got on the horse behind her. He began with a command and the horse started to move. She tensed up because she was afraid. Legolas felt the change in her body.
Nervously Chrissy said, “Geez it’s so high up here, what if I fall?”
Legolas stated, “You shall not fall, (He whispered in her ear) I would not let you get hurt, I promise.”
She smiled and knew that he wouldn’t let her fall or get hurt. She trusted him with her life and this made her feel safe.
Chrissy took observance of how uncomfortable the ride was on the horse. She saw Legolas trying to catch up with the others up head. They rode for hours on the horse and it was very boring just counting the t and and flowers as they rode by each one of them.
Sarcastically she asked, “So Legolas, why does the sun shine and the flowers grow?”
Chrissy was getting boring just looking at scenery. Legolas gazed down upon her because he knew she was being sarcastic and gave her a grin. He knew she was bored and started to speak.
Legolas asked, “Tell me about your home back in your time?”
Chrissy replied, “Well instead of horses we have cars and planes to take people were they want to go.”
Gandolf was near by when he heard her speak about the world before she entered here. He listened in on the different things he had never heard about from her world.
Chrissy continued by saying, “These things get us to a place that would take days or months by foot or by horse, it would only take a day or even two with the technology back home.”
Legolas was so bewildered by what she spoke about he decided to change the subject. He didknowknow any of the strange words she spoke.
A little aggravated Legolas stated, “Those things you speak about are strange to my Elf ears. What about your parents, you haven’t spoken about them?”
Chrissy hesitated for a moment as she finally said, “I never really knew my real mother and father. I was adopted as a baby by a really nice couple that had a son. I loved my family dearly and my brother and I would play for hours in the woods.”
Legolas looked at her with sorrowful eyes and said, “You always sound sad when speaking about your brother?”
With pain in her eyes, “Yes he died a few years ago”, She paused because of the stinging sensation that swept through her heart. Legolas could tell by the way she paused and the tears that flooded her eyes that she missed him terribly.
Legolas said, “This troubles you about your brothers death?”
Chrissy answered with grievance in her voice, “It would always bother me about the way he . Bu. But I do not wish to talk about it right now.”
Legolas honored her request and didn’t say anything, however, wished he could take the painfully memory out of her heart. They all rode on and she fell asleep on Legolas’s chest as they made there way to Rivendell.
Legolas cradled her and made sure by shifting his arms a little over to protect her from falling. She slept peacefully and Legolas rode up to Gandolf.
Humorously Gandolf said, “Lady Chrissy must have been bored by all the excitement out here?”
Legolas gave him a chuckle and said, “She has not be sleeping well the past few nights because of the haunting dreams.” Gandolf knew of her troubled dreams and the denial she was in from what they represented.
Looking around, Gandolf stated, “There is something in the air and I feel that Saruman has something planned for us, we must keep our eyes opened, for he will stop at nothing to reach Lady Chrissy.”
Legolas gave Gandolf a disheartening look about Saruman. Legolas was not happy with Saruman for his own personal reasons about Larien and the disappearance of his love.
Angrily Legolas pointed out, “I would protect her with my life, old friend, for she means a lot to me.”
Gandolf knew that he loved this woman and that he would kill if anyone would harm his beloved.
They rode for hours and Chrissy began to get hot in the sunshine as her legs began to cramp and felt numb.
She woke up and said, “What time is it?”
Legolas stared down at his love and said, “I would say, late afternoon.”
Chrissy looked around for it was the same stuff she had seen earlier but a different area of the woods. She was getting impatient about being out in forest.
Impatiently she asked, “Legolas could we stop for a while? My legs are numb and I am starting to get hungry.”
Legolas looked over at Gandolf to see if he wanted to ride a bit longer or if it would be wise to stop.
Gandolf heard Lady Chrissy’s request and said, “Lets stop here and take rest for we can start before dawn tomorrow.”
They all stopped and Gandolf was the first to get off his horse, followed by Legolas. Elendil got down as he began to start a fire and to set up the camp.
Legolas helped Chrissy get off the horse and her legs had gone numb. She sighed with grief because of the long trip on the horse.
Chrissy stated, “Legolas I need more than just your hand, I am going to need you to carry me and place me down on the ground so I can rub my legs to bring back the circulation.” He laughed and did what she asked.
Legolas pointed out sarcastically, “I guess you really haven’t rode horses back in your world!”
Chrissy just gave him the evil eye as she began to rub her legs through her jeans. She saw a near by tree and tried to crawl over to it as she leaned up against it for support.
Legolas went to help Elendil and Gandolf grab firewood as they check out the area.
In the meantime, Chrissy was trying to get the feelings back in her legs and used the tree to give her support. In trying to get up she fell down because of the sharp pains that were going through her legs that felt like needles.
Chrissy let out a scream due to the fall and this caused everyone to come to her aid. Gandolf started to laugh with Elendil followed by Legolas.
Angrily Chrissy said, “This is not a laughing matter, especially you, Legolas GreenLeaf. I can’t walk because I fell asleep and now my legs have a stinging sensation.”
Legolas replied, “You are right, I should not be laughing.” He let out another smirk.
Nonetheless, she soon began to laugh with embarrassment for it was her own fault.
After a few minutes of getting her legs adjusted back to normal, she was able to walk again. Chrissy began to help prepare for the nights stay in the forest as she picked up some nearby rocks and began to put them in a circle where the wood was placed.
Chrissy started to make a fire, as this was something she could do because of her training as a girl scout. Then when that was done she walked around and began to take notice of the sunset.
Chrissy had always loved it when the sun went down for the evening. It made the most beautiful colors that lit up the sky.

Back in Saurmon’s cave, he saw in Palantar that they had left from Mirkwood and was making there way to Rivendell. He was coming up with a plan to capture her in the middle of the night and cause a diversion for the others. He was not going to let this plan spoil and would send out a party of Orc’s and Warg Riders.
He has waited for this girl for a long time and was not going to let her escape under his grasps again. He wanted to wait until they neared the borders of Rivendell. Saruman wanted to send out an army to conquer Lord Elrond’s guards. He has wanted to put an end to his line of kin ever since Lord Elrond’s father was Lord over those lands.
Little did Saruman know, the Angel that was protecting Chrissy, was overhearing his plans to over take her husbands lands! She knew that someone had to be warned, so she went the Golden Woods, where Galadriel resides.
The Angel would try to see if Galadriel could see her in the shadow world where Saruman had placed her soul. The Angel fled to the Golden Woods to speak to Galadriel, her oldest friend.

Legolas watched Lady Chrissy as prepared the bedroll for sleeping. He smiled of how much he loved this woman and wanted them to be together. She caught his stare, as she glanced over to send him a smile.
Legolas walked over and said, “It’s going to be cold tonight, and I feel the air changing.”
PLEASE give feedback, if you liked or hated it............
