CH: 1

It was a beautiful day in Rivendell, as Lord Elrond was walking peaceful in his gardens. He sat down at the Lilac bush and Sweet Peas and prayed to the Valor that he would have a daughter that resembled his wife, Lady Idril. She was due any day now and prayed that her delivery would be a save one. He could not believe how happy that his wife had made him and remembered the day they met.

As he recalled in his memory, he went home to visit Lady Galadriel in the Golden Woods. Lord Elrond would always remember that day because he met his wife quite by accident. Lady Idril was staying with Lady Galadriel because her parents were friends of the Lord and Lady of the Golden Woods and had perished in an Orc fight.

When he approached to the Lady Galadriel and kissed her beautiful dainty hands for a sign of respect something in the distance caught his eyes. A beautiful Elf Maiden with long honey colored curly hair and the most stunning blue-green eyes he had ever seen.

Lady Galadriel noticed right away and with her blue eyes shining, she stated, “Aye, Lord Elrond, I see you have caught sight of my friend, Lady Idril. She is quite the handful and her beauty is illuminating your thoughts. She has secrets that will turn the strongest Elf away and those secrets would shatter any home apart if thy binds with thus female. ”

Lord Elrond replied, “I must meet this rare and stunning Maiden. I am quite captivated by your friend, I shall take my chances with Lady Idril.”

Lady Galadriel stated, “Be patient, when the time is right, the two of you shall met.”

Unbeknownst to Lord Elrond, Lady Galadriel already had foreseen the two and there future together. She also had foreseen great sadness that would possibly take his life. The night had grown and Lord Elrond made his move to speak to the fair Maiden that had stolen his heart from the first moment.

Lord Elrond walked over and spoke, “Would thy Lady like to dance?”

Lady Idril answered, “Aye, I would love to dance.”

As time went on the two fell in love, however, it would be short lived as another wanted the beautiful Idril for his own pleasures.

Saurmon got word that Idril has taken a love and would possibly be marrying soon. He was furious at himself for not purposing or even taking the young female as his own sooner. He made war with Lord Elrond and would eventually try to capture the young maiden for himself.

Nevertheless, that was short lived because Lord Elrond had him banished and a reward was offered for the capture of the Evil Saurmon. However, word reached Lord Elrond that Saurmon would try again to steal the Lady Idril back from him.

Love was stronger here as the two bound themselves to one another and eventually married in the Golden Woods. Lord Elrond brought the young beauty to Imladris where they soon had a child.

Lord Elrond smiled as he recalled the precious memory in his heart that was so long ago but seemed like yesterday. Then the peaceful memory was soon filed back when an urgent message came from his guard.

“Your wife is in labor, Lord Elrond! The Lady Idril is requesting your presence.” The guard said hurriedly.

“Take me to my wife at once, good servant.” Lord Elrond replied.

The two went off in search of his beloved wife as he approached he said a silent prayer that the child and his wife would have a safe delivery. He came upon the room and knocked. The mid-wife came to the door and allowed him entrance to the room.

A silence swept over the room when he saw his beloved wife on the bed. Lady Idril smiled at him as if the two knew what was being said just by reading each other’s thoughts.

Lord Elrond walked over and said, “My love, it is almost time for our precious child to be born.” He reached down and kissed his treasure of a lifetime on her forehead.

“Yes my darling,~” Lady Idril was interrupted by the healer as her attention was now focused on the new life.

But her words were cut off when the healer asked Lady Idril to start pushing for the time was nearing as the head was starting to come through the opening.

There was no pain or hardship during the delivery as Lady Idril made sure to eat right and exercise.

As the baby made its way into the world all of a sudden there was a cry from the young female Elfling. The mid-wife cleaned up the Elfling and place the female baby into the arms of Lady Idril. Lord Elrond was ecstatic as tears streamed down his face and those same tears mirrored his wife.

The two were so happy but as they turned to see a shy 5 year old peaking through the door. The flowing dark brown hair and blue-eyes caught Lord Elrond’s attention as the little child wanted to see her knew sister.

Lord Elrond spoke softly, “Come Arwen, see the newest member of our family.”

Arwen walked over gently to the bed and her mother smiled sweetly for she remembered when little Arwen was born.

Those blue eyes that mirrored his shot up at him once again and he lifted his daughter up to show her the new bundle of joy.

Shyly Arwen asked, “Mother/Father what are you going to name her?” Lady Idril and Lord Elrond looked at each other as they smiled.

“We shall name her Larien Anwamane of Rivendell.” Lady Idril spoke as she held on to her bundle of joy that resembled her in many ways.

Arwen gazed upon her infant sister as she took in the features. She noticed that Larien was bald and she spoke, “Mother why does she not have any hair?”

Lord Elrond giggle and so did his wife as she explained, “Little ones sometimes are born without hair on top of their head but she will get hair in time my dear. Now I want you to go with Eluana, your maid servant, so she makes sure you eat and tends to your needs while mommy rests.”

Lady Idril motioned for Elano, “Eluana please take care of my daughter for the next few days, Lord Elrond will be around to check on her and if little Arwen needs me, please do not hesitate to bring her to me.”

Little Arwen said sadly, “Mommy I will miss you but I know Baby Larien needs you right now.”

Lord Elrond smiled at his daughter as she left but knew he would see her soon.

Her father said, “Arwen, we love you and I will see you sometime today.”

Arwen ran up to her father and hugged him as she said, “I know, Ada.”

Eluana the maidservant placed Arwen’s hand in hers and the two walked out of the room.

As the day went on Lady Idril took in much needed sleep as her body need to heal from the birth of her daughter. The maid servants made sure that Larien had plenty of attention and laid the sleepy child down to rest.

The over-joyous Arwen was so happy that she would finally have a sister to play with as she confided in Eluana. She already had to two twin brothers who would never play with her or take her hunting with them. This was exciting to the young Arwen for having a sister would be fun.

As time went on the two sisters became inseparable. They were always playing and getting in trouble together. One time they had come back from visiting the Lady of the Golden Wood’s as Arwen and Larien were going to play prank on their Merchwarden in the trees.

Larien whispered into Arwen’s ear softly, “ You shoot the arrow, while I scream loudly, Llie n'vanima ar' lle lle atara lanneina.”

Arwen giggled and did what Larien said as she shot the arrow up to the tops of the trees. The arrow went crashing to the attempted target and scared the Merchwarden in the trees as he sent his guards that swarmed around Lord Elrond and Lady Idril.

Meanwhile Arwen and Larien ran off into a secret path that they had cut for themselves. The path leads to the gardens and into safety, as they were trying to avoid punishment.
