Target Practice
Disclaimer-I own no Lord of the Rings characters, they are all the ingenius creation of Professor J.R.R. Tolkien. However, Elbereth & Amarie are my creations.
A/N-this is my very first fan fic, so if its not very good, forgive me!
chapter one- Target Practice
Elbereth smiled as her arrow hit its target. "Another fine shot, My Lady" Haldir congratulated her.
Ever since Haldir had rescuded Elbereth from the Orcs who captured her when she was a baby, the two had become extremly close, one was hardly seen without the other.
"But, now it is my turn" Haldir continued. He notched an arrow to his bow, took aim & let the arrow loose. The arrow hit its target ell,ell, it split Elbereth's arrow in two, making her arrow fall to the ground.
Elbereth scowled at him "you could have at least missed on purpose, for my sake, just to humor me".
Haldir dropped his bow & put his arm around her "you know I'd never do that" he said, trying to conceal a smile.
Elbereth couldn't help but smile, "Must you always win?" Before Haldir could respond, Elbereth finished for him "I know..yes..is your answer". Haldir nodded in agreement.
"Thats enough practice for now, we shall resume after dinner" Haldir said, as he bowed to her slightly & kissed her cheek & walked away.
Elbereth put her hand to the cheek he had kissed & could feel the warmth of her cheek 'I'm blushing!' she said to herself. 'He's kissed me her millions of times before, why am I blushing?' she asked herself.
