Haldir remembering to be patient. See he's learning. That is a good thing. Under pressure of the battle, worry for Legolas and the baby, gettgetting hurt himself I think the very fact that he remembered at all is a great thing for him.
That was so nice when you had the other warriors acknowledge Legolas as a comrade in arms. Of course he's happy Haldir, you dense MarchWarden. He is a male after all even with all this talk of 'my wife' and he would like to be accepted at male things as well as have elflings.
Macho MarchWarden and his grab and grope techniques. They are such a cute couple when coupling. I like their chatting each other up when together. It seems real and living somehow.
You must remember that for most of us writing coherently and getting it posted is more than we will ever do. So the very fact that you have accomplished a multi-chapter story is amazing. I have re-read all the chapters waiting fors ons one and am thrilled at how much I enjoy this tof aof a Maternal Legolas and a Grumpy, ex-bachelor MarchWarden. Just calm down and deal with Real Life and let this be your sanctuary from stress. It is supposed to be a joy to create not another level of insanity. Maybe when springallyally springs you will be more inspired. I know my daughter is stuck on a chapter of a new book she is working on and it is driving her nuts. She is absolutely horrible to live with right now.
As far as names go Yikes! I hope someone here is a major Tolkien scholar and can guide you to a good site. i have read some lovely names in other stories but I don't want to infringe on anyone elses work.
As far as Haldir's last name he is just Haldir o' Lorien meaning Haldir of Lorien. Whether this is canon or fanon I don't know but it always looked very official to me. Concerning Legolas he is Legolas Thranduilion, son of Thranduil not Legolas Greenleaf. Greenleaf is not his last name, just an English translation of Legolas.

I hope Yancie is better soon and that your car gets better or gets fixed. Real Life can be such a pain. giggle

Rumil staring at Legolas in worship as the prince demolishes four bowls of stew. Thas sos so funny. It reminded me of Chris Farley's character in 'The Coneheads'. when he and the girl conehead go out to eat sub sandwiches. He was in awe of her abilities too. So like his Mom it was instant love.
Poor little Leaf. He has no clue how to react if orcs attack. He has matured a lot in other departments but in this one he could use a little help. He is so in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The President is back. Yeah for Mwalin. Yes things are different when you are pregnant. Like hurling on a daily basis. Mwalin will just have to get used to it if she is going to be around for awhile. I hope she is. Legolas needs a friend.
ORCS!!! Head for the trees Legolas. I am glad that he remembered what to do and also that he grabbed his bow. He got some good shots in hat hat should help his self esteem. He always needs help there.

Please keep up the work. this is my favorite story on the web and i would be heartbroken if you stopped. Legolas is still a bit girly for me, but you are toughening him up some. i look forward to future updates. as i said, this is the best story out there.
