This is awesome. I cannot wait for the next installment. I think you said something at the beginning of one chapter about trying to get something published *for real* (unless I'm confusing you with someone else.) To be absolutely honest with you, this kicks the ass of many romance novels I've read. There's also a lot of similarities between Tolkien's elven world and medieval and/or pre-Roman England. (Not really all *that* surprising.) Have you given any thought to perhaps setting this story in a sort of Mists of Avalon time period? I'd publish it if was a publisher, but my printer really doesn't have that much ink in it. :) Good luck!

The story is just great. I do wonder when you'll stop torturing Haldir... not that I don't enjoy his discomfort, of course.

Bravo, Elanor! I'm proud of her. Who knows, she could get lucky! (I did, in my first archery competition. And at least Elanor won't have to compete with a neon-pink fiberglass longbow as I did. I've boumysemyself a nice recurve since then....) I'm intrigued by the subplots with Rumil and Lurien, and am keen to see where you take them. I also wonder (oh, the shame of it) whether Galadriel might not have some interesting advice for Elanor's romantic queries? After all, one no doubt can learn a lot in three thousand years or more with the man she loves.... It mak make me wonder, though- a culture with such a love of learning as the Elves have shown would surely have something on the arts of love? An Elven Kama Sutra? Quenya Sutra? Or something like. Hmm... I have _no_ idea who could _possibly_ serve as the male in the illustrations, do you? ;-) Good job building the anticipation! I'm looking forward to the next installment, as always. --Q

This is a magnificant story, I decided to save all my thoughts for this review until the end. I really love your story, you can see and feel the growth of the characters, and the imagary and emotions are so very well written! I like Ellie a lot, I love her character, mostly because I see a bit of myself in her. Her prank on had me roaring with laughter, and of course I felt a WEE bit of sympathy for Haldir, but not much *winks* I only wonder what exactly Lurien has in mind. I keep wondering what it is he plans to do. I fear for Ellie, but yet I know she has yet to surprise us. It is a very enjoyable story to read, and I was so disappointed when I read the last chapter and realized there was no more. I will very much enjoy reading the next chapters to come. Magnificant story!

Great chapter! There's so much sexual tension ben Han Haldir and Elanor. It's nice to see this so built up, most other stories would have had them finally 'do the deed' chapters ago. I just love this story. Character and plot development are excellent. Keep it up!!

oh shit..... for a few hundred year old elf, she aint that smart is she? lol. im so glad u finally updated. i do love a good haldir fic and thats just wat this is. i love the part where she asked rumil about how to please guy. i can just imagin the whole scenario and its just hilarious. how a father might feel indeed!! lol. update soon. i wanna know what happens at the compitition...well i have an idea but i hope it wouldnt be as bad as i imagin it to be.

This is my absolute favorite Haldir story. Such sweet torture. I find myself rivoted and constantly checking for updates. I think Elanor made the right choice in entering the contest...coward versus unskilled. Perhaps she will gain that focus that will help her recognize her true potential. She is certainly practicing a lot. I'm glad she is starting to not trust Lurien. A sweet elf he might be, but his dislike of Haldir may cause him to hurt Ellie. Lurien needs an elleth who can tame him and put him in his place. lol Can't wait to find out the name of Rumil's love. That "birds and bees" conversation with Rumil was excellent!!!! I was grinning from ear to ear. Haldir and Elanor have the most delicious foreplay going on. I don't think I can stand it much longer. *skips off to re-read this chapter* Very high quality story.
