After I read your update on "Ambush", I tried to read the last chapter here, but AFF kept timing out. Finally, I was able to catch the end of the story!
This was very sweet, and yes, I like Thranduil much better as a loving and caring Father. Too often he is portrayed as evil and cruel, and Legolas as meek and innocent. That Legolas becomes the strong and heroic Elf of the fellowship belies such a parent. In essence, I truly enjoyed this story. It was well-written and a pleasure to read.

Just got to read this all the way through and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I do hope there are more tales of Legolas growing up in this particular family. I too enjoy L having a nice normal life occasionally. I like angst and drama also but if the nice and normal is well written it can be a joy.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful story, it was really great and I am sorry it is over. The way you portraited Thranduil as a good father is great. I hope you write more stories about Legolas' family. I'll be back to read them! :-D

This was a sweet chapter. Your description of the birthing room was wonderful. Would have loved a room like that when I had my child! Anxious to see the rest of the story.
