The beginning of a love/hate relationship. How delightful! Do I sense a sequel? *hopes*

Glad I finally got to read the rest of it. Although I'm very surprised he didn't drown himself. Does he really believe that Haldir would have eventually done the same to him? That thought might affect his relationship with his friends (not being sure if they would hurt him, too).
