I don't make a habit of publicly replying to reviews, but am making an exception here. Nina, you've been a great source of feedback so far. I'm sorry you found the Éowyn/Faramir scene in chapter 9 offensive. certcertainly wasn't intended that way. No doubt our experiences of people and relationships are very differen
I do not see Faramir as being weak and passive, in fact quite the opposite. To me he is a warm and compassionate man, who loves his wife enough to forgive her, and is secure enough not to feel threatened by what was a minor and very temporary transgression. No doubt there was much pain when the original confession was made (at least 18 months before this story) but the couple have worked on their relationship since. It may seem a strange way for Faramir to want to deal with the uned med memories, but if he is sick, so are a good many fine and decent men out there in the real world.
One other woman has written to tell me she felt disgusted by this chapter. Several others have found it moving for the love and forgiveness there. Interestingly, in the dozens of responses I have had to 'Sea Longing', not one reader has complained that noble Imrahil cheated on his (invisible) wife...
I am off on holiday now so am not looking to start a major correspondence on this. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on, and interpretation of, the stories. I stand by my characters though - their actions are after all a product of my mind, which may well be sick; why else would I be so obsessed with slash in the first place?
Rest assured that the next chapters focus on other acteacters, so you can read on with confidence.

Hi, Capella. I'm sorry if my review in any way offended you. I must thank you for making this exception for me. But, I haven't changed my mind. I don't think that a betrayal is a "minor transgression" , for me it is a great one. About Imrahil's invisible wife, maybe it was exactly this, nobody never heard about her, nobody saw her, it is almost as she never existed unlike Faramir that is a character that everyone who saw the movies or read the books knows. Maybe if I had felt that Eowyn really loved her husband and really regreted what she did, my opinion would be different but I didn't see true love or true regret in her. And about Faramir's behaviour I really didn't like it. Enjoy your holiday.

How could Eowyn be so bad, so dirty so disloyal? Sadness is not an excuse for her because everybody suffers, pain is part of lifeny pny people(married people) suffer but unlike Eowyn they choose to love, respect and be faithful to their husbands/wives. To feel pain is not a choice but to betray is. And instead of goes down on her knees and thanks Valar for a forgiviness that she doesn't deserve she is warmed by her memories with her ex-lover, it really made me sick. Can't she stop humilia him him? The fact that she is "warmed" by the memories of her dirty actions can be anything but flattering for her husband. The fact that she still desires and misses her ex-lover can have two explanations: a) her husband is a very poor lover; b)she is a hopeless whore. I'll go with the second option(b). And about Faramir? Is he a man or a worm? Where are his honor, his pride, his dignity? Please, don't make him the kind of man that gets excited by seeing(hearing) his wifvingving sex with another person, this is sick. I guess you took his kindness for weakness and passiveness. You turn him into a person who bows his head and accepts all kind of humiliation. It seems that Faramir thinks that Eowyn did nothing wrong, did he like to be betrayed? Poor Faramir! He deserved a much better person. I could send Eowyn to Mordor right now. Forgive me if I don't review next chapter because if it happens what I think it will happen, it will be wiser to make no comments. I'll keep reading this fiction, I sill can't wait to see Legolas/ Imrahil and Aragorn. Bye

Sorry, that's me again. I forgot to say something: If she loved her husband(what a joke!) and she actually regreted (another joke?) what she did, just to look at Roalind would be enough to make Eowyn want to vomit. Bye.

Oh, yes! Love the angst and how Legolas can actually confess love for Imrahil. And, especially, how you updated quickly after leaving chapter 5 asoo uoo uncertain for them. Still want to see Aragorn jealous and having to suck it up (with Imrahil showing how much he does love Legolas); after all, Arwen is fine, but who was really there when Aragorn needed help and made, perhaps, the greater sacrifice? Oh well, just want to say that I love reading this and hope for more soon (trite, but true).

A wonderful chapter! Very well written and nicely explained without being too wordy. Am glad for Imrahil; I think he and Legolas are a perfect match the way you have written them. Don't know why but I can never picture Legolas with Aragorn. I am curious how you're going to deal plausibly with that bond of theirs though if you're going to keep Imrahil and Legolas together. Obviously, that's what I hope you're going to do. I canwaitwait for the rest of your story to unfold. Keep it up!

I have finally caught up with this story. Oh my....it is wonderful. I love all the OC's but I admit, Legolas and Imrahil has a special place in my heart. Chapters 5 and 7 was just gut wrenching. Your writing is so nice and fluid. Really excellent. I'm looking forward to more.
