Not a slash fan here but I do appreciate a well written, beautiful love story.

I have not read any of the LOTR books and merely saw the movies. I confessed that I'm not really a serious fan of LOTR. I've been reading LOTR fics though because I find myself moved by the wonderful and breathtaking stories of so many fascinating writers like yourself. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. I too am a fanfic writer (HP and YYH) and I love angsty romantic stories the most. It is no wonder that this story and the one before this moved me profoundly.
It saddens me also that there is rarely fanfiction that explores the angsty romance between Legolas and Aragorn and ends happily with them together in the end. This one came very close and you wrote so very well. Suprisingly, even though the story ended on a happier note, it made me sadder because the conclusion gave me a glimpse of what could have been between Legolas and Aragorn and even though Aragorn's son is not a replacement of him, I can't help but be bitter about it and this is why I salute your writing. You have managed to write something so powerful, it really hits me straight to the heart. Thanks again and I hope you would oblige me and the rest of the reading public out there by writing another Aragorn/Legolas story with a happier ending--them being together.

Very lovely story. I very much liked the way you built up their relationship, and the characterization of Eldarion. The only gripe I do have, is the need Legolas felt to consumate his love with Estel. I found it more heart-breaking than Legolas' unrequited love. I think because I perceived the love between him and Eldarion as a more natural and pure emotion. I kinda felt that Estel tainted that purity a le. Be. But, that is the mark of a good writer. You blend intense love, gentle humour and heart-wrenching sadness seamlessly. This will most definately go on my recommended list.

I'm glad I *finally* decided to read this! I almost cried when Legolas & Aragorn "got together" in the end. . . it was so bloody sweet! :o)
