So much is starting to come together now, and the tension is getting stronger. I find myself very eager to see what lies ahead!

Yes! I finally feel as though the truth is getting closer to being uncovered! I can't wait for the next chapter...and all those chapters you mentioned! Keep up the good work!

I was so pleased to see this updated! And htree chapters I had not read- brilliant. Legolas' despair is dangerous indeed and you are setting up the next bit very nicely.

Oh, it is painful to see him despair like this, so much so that he is shutting Mel out. You really convey his inner bleakness so well.

Yay! This story always makes my day. Especially the really long chapters that are like parts 1-3. please continue! i want so badly for legolas to get home and see benain/novnorian and realize its his son.

Lovely chapter! I like Benain...but that is probably because since you first mentioned his birth I hoped he had survived...and was elated when you mentioned he did. Though, poor child! First he looses his father, then his adoptive mother, then he becomes a slave and now he is in the middle of this conspiracy for the throne...I think he deserves a rest (hint: give him back his father......LOL). I really like this story...but it is so sad I had to take a break and go read a sappy romance one! Still, keep up the good work!

I have to say, this was short but very telling. The growing bond between Ithilhen and Benain is heartwarming, although Benain's dreams where he thinks he sees his father are wrenching, since his father was told he was dead. This perspective feels important, though, and I'm sure it will become so in future chapters. Lovely foreshadowing...

Enjoy the holidays!

I am finally getting around to reviewing this, after feeling guilty for reading it and not reviewing promptly.

This is truly well done, and I second the other reviewers in saying that I like seeing Legolas remain a warrior, strong and fierce when he needs to be fierce. And yes, the distance you maintain by referring to him as the slave, or Dafi, is extremely chilling and effective.

Marvelous, really! :)
