Wow this is really REALLY good! So original and without plot holes! How will Harry age? What are the pairings? I'm assuming Harry still has magic... when will he find out? Can't wait for the next chapter!

This is one of the best 'Harry/elfling' stories I've come so far. Although I haven't come across to many, but this is definitely extremely good. Although it did surprise me that you decided to begin from First Age instead of third where Aragorn and all the others are present. But this is good too :) Actually I haven't even read another story that begins from the First Age, this will make this exciting. Do you know any other stories where Harry is transported as an elfling to Middle Earth?
Harry is cautious of people in this story which is very good. In others story thus far Harry tends to trust too early... It wouldnät exactly fit since Harry has gone so much through. This is really good so far. I hope that you'll update soon.

I....don't know what to say TT^TT I'm in love with this story, you've started it sooo well I think I've loved every single bit of it. Well, first, the way you've described Hogwarts after the final battle was simply amazing, and the way the magical world has almost totally fallen apart was amazingly well written. -And Fawkes was soooo cute taking care of Harry like this! *squeals*- And the whole story behind the veil is excellent, I loved the little details about Calautica finding about it and the way it was created, it's so exciting!
And hai, Harry is definitely going to find Sirius because Sirius is definitely NOT dead! (I've kept saying that since he's disappeared -that he was still alive somewhere behind his curtain- but it's hard to make people believe you when even Remus say he's dead TT^TT)
Anyway, thankyuuuu for writing this, I'll go to the next chapters now, I wanna see Harry as a little elfling soooo much~ *blesses sweet sweet poor Fawkes*

Hmm... looks interesting. Great job so far.
I liked how you had Fawkes sacrifice his immortal life so that Harry could become an elf. Usually author's just say writer's license and say "he's an elfling now!" but you explained how it happened. Though from Sauron's reaction to his arrival, he must still be a wizard, too? I also wonder what happened to Sirius? You said that the gate only had one destination, but I suppose he could have been refused by the Valar, or he maybe he didn't want to go forward and was therefore trapped in the Veil itself. Or time could pass differently there so that Sirius died to old age. Or maybe he's still around? But if that were the case, he should at least still be a wizard so unless he decided to hide the fact that he's a mortal wizard (with no phoenix sacrificing itself to make him an elfling, which even at his age he'd still be according to your "elfling unable to care for itself until it reaches 100 years old." By that count, there are few wizards that would become full-grown elves.)
Oh! I was also wondering if Harry gained anything else from Fawkes's sacrifice? Healing tears? An affinity for fire as well as flying? More rapid than normal healing, even for an elf, explaining why he's still alive? An incredible singing voice? Maybe empathetic powers? Etc.? That might be neat. I also had this weird thought of Fawkes still kind of being alive and part of Harry now -- a voice suddenly present in his head or in his dreams. Like I said though, even *I* think that's weird. Or maybe some kind of guardian spirit with a protective power similar to what he gained from his mother's sacrifice protecting him from evil (at least while he can't protect himself)?
Hmm... Well that's all I can think of for now. Once again, great job so far. Please keep up the good work and update as soon as possible! ^_^
PS: Does AFF.Net have some kind of author/story alert like FF.Net's so that I'd know when you update and don't have to check every day? Or do you have a mailing list I could sign up for? Or are you posting on FF.Net as well? Any help you can offer on this would really be appreciated. Thank you! ^_^

I absolutely LOVE this story. It's a wonderful mix of drama, angst, and adventure. I can't wait to read more. However, can you please, please, please not torture Harry too much? I know he still has to find out that Sirius isn't there and now Sauron is after him, but don't torture him too much. Anyway, I'll look forward to the next chapter. Best wishes and happy muse wrangling!
