I was searching for a new chapter of Aerlinn and saw this story here and had to re-read. How I love this one. Full of truly hot stuff. I still can't believe you put this together for a challenge on such short notice. And further, I stand awed at how well it is done. But even more I am still so incredibly flattered that you wrote it for me. The only bad part is it only shows up as two chapters on this site. I had to go digging through my own archives but found it and read it again tonight. I wonder how many are waiting for the end not knowing it's already done? Anyhow, I just wanted you to know I'm following you and your stories and miss you over at RMH. More Aerlinn, or Cuthenin, or House of the Rose Pillars -- any of your stories -- whenever you get a chance. I'll be devotedly reading. Best to you, Anarithilien

I love the start of this tale. Legolas all beat up and Elladan all hovering and longing. This should be fun.

It is so good to see you start something new! Of course, if has to be dark, as it just wouldn't be *you* otherwise! But it is good and relieving to see you post a new story up. Good to know that you are very much with us. I had thought for a moment there that you might have fallen out of love with the fandom, which would be such a shame, as you write wonderfully. There are too few of you out there, that are in touch with human (or elven, if you prefer) emotions. Your insights are always a source of joy and enlightenment, as was that scene where Elrond barters with the forces that governed his world for the safety of his loved ones. Who can honestly say that they had not done that at some point in their life, when the future looked bleak? Granted, it would have been nice if rape wasn't one of the catalysts in the plot, even if it was not incorporated directly--it seems I'm seeing a lot of that lately (but then, I do read a *lot*, lol)-- but if that is what it takes to set up the stage, so be it. Justly don't forget the occasional ray of light and, dare I say it? The banter. I so loved those interchanges between brothers or lovers.
