I just can't put into words how much I love your story. It's undoubtedly the best LOTR fiction I've read - and believe me, that says a lot! :) Looking forward to more and I can't wait to see where you take us!

Aaaah, Leggy is such a clever elf. Fighting all those Orcs in an impossible situation, yet finding time to steal their weapons, kill them and get all three travellers out of there. All just to get home to Fearfaron. How sweet! And YES! So close to home now, can't wait!

*speechless*
So, Thranduil finally got the cloth! I just LOVED his reaction to it! Oh, and Fearfaron! How cool is he? (well, you should know, you made him up). You know, I'd love to read the rest of Elrond's letter because the parts we were able to read were just fantastic!
And, YAY! Leggy's home! Though I wouldn't be surprised if the next chapter opens with:
"Guards, throw him in the dungeons!"shouted Thranduil.
Course, you'd put it a hell of a lot more eloquently than that, but you get the basic idea.
Anyway, thanks for the update. Seriously, I was so exhausted before I thought I'd just check e-mail and if any stories had been updated before bed, and there was yours, so of courseead ead it. But, this has just made me so excited again I don't think I'll be able to sleep for ages yet! OH, it's all so wonderful! Thankyou, Thankyou, THANKYOU!

(Yes, very speechless, wasn't I? *g*)

I am continually amazed, impressed, and stirred by the high quality of writing in this fic.
This last chapter - Elrond's vile pronouncements countered by Fearfaron's steadfast love and support - wonderful. Legolas' homecoming and his words to Fearfaron - words cannot express.
Thank you for this fic.

That was a brilliant chapter. Ah Elrond's letter was terrible, but I'm so glad that Legolas' people support him, and love him. I can't wait to read more. Keep up the good work.

thanks so much for your great, great chapters.
so happy to find him still breathing
"That is well, do my work for me! Come on, maggot fodder, I will use your rotting bodies to feed my trees! This day is the last you will look upon the fairness of my woods, and for the rest of your damned existence may your black spirits roil in the torment of the Void with your faithless master!"
oh, sometimes, i feel pity for these nameless orcs, but at the same time, i really love your legolas.....and aragon, too

Part Deux
You can kill ten thousand orcs; unlimited number of elves, men, dwarves, occasionally even a named character but never, never babies or horses. You let the orcs kill the horses. I was so very upset at that. OK the wizard and elf got hurts and scared but not dead like the horses. OK rant over now. I will never get over this though.
Lack of communication on the man and elfs part. Aragorn not liking to be out of control of the situation and Legolas not wanting to waste his energy on explaining. I can see both points of view unfortunately.
At least the orcs who killed the horse died horrible deaths. It was really painful reading the description of Legolas removing the arrow. Ick.
I am glad the king's army showed up as back up. Otherwise no way would they have made it to the river and thfetyfety of the canoe.
Taumting orcs is so effective.
OK another horse dead here. I feel bad again. I know they died bravely saving their masters but, but, but, don't do it again. OK?
I am so glad they got away, it was a close thing. Also that the army finally showed up and is killing all the orcs. I hope none of them get away.
Running the Forest River was exciting. I've run the Rogue River and it is a wild ride but this sounded much wilder.
OK now they are heading for the stronghold, battered, bruised and in serious need of healers. I am so sure the king will welcome them with open arms. HA HA HA
That was exciting. I thought the first part oe che chapter was exciting but part deux was really wild. Can't wait to see what Elrond and Erestor are up to and how the king reacts to his worst nightmare, having to help the Tawarwaith. giggle (in more ways than one)

Your story wasn't the only thing fighting, but I shouldn't call Legolas and company a thing.
I so like that Legolas is an elf not a human acting elf. He is so unpredictable to both Aragron and Gandalf he he truly is elvish. They can't read him or tell what he is going to do next. Despite being raised around elves and Gandalf having years to get to know elves this wood elf is truly too elf like for them to read.
It was so cool when he caught an arrow in mid flight so he could check it for poison. I also liked the reaction of Aragorn when he just stood and watched as Legolas taunthe ohe orcs to the point that what littlnse nse they had was lost and they just acted. Legolas just wiped the forest floor with the orcs. Aragorn didn't get to even raise his sword to fight. I just loved this scene, the descriptions were superb as always.
Legolas feels vindicated now, he is more than just talk. He can fight and protect the Man and the Wizard. After the last night Legolas was in sad shape again. He feels he always has to prove himself with Gandalf and Aragorn. I was glad when Gandalf and Aragorn welcomed him back so to speak even though they still have a reserve with him because of his elvish qualities and abilities that they find hard to comprehend. The fact that he cut himself to leave a blood trail really bothered them. He does what he has to do rather someone agrees or understands or not. He is Tawarwaith and even elves would find it hard to understand his actions and motivations at times.
I have to mention the horse inteion.ion. That was great up to and including Gandalf not wanting to share the horses real name with Legolas.
The orcs are coming! The orcs are coming! I sure hope some of the aid that Thranduil talked about can find them and help them. I think this going to be more than even Legolas and his company can handle. EEP.
Thank you for the update. I am sure the life of a writer is no bed of roses. giggle
