Chapter 30
Legolas is so having a nice day. He might even get a whole twenty four hours of pleasure out of this. He wakes up smiling, all cuddly with Erestor, and feels genuine joy. Been a long time since that happened. I so wish this could last but I think this angst fest is going to go on for a long time. If only Legolas could go away to 'Lorien and escaps pas pain. First of all he has the deep desire to fulfill his Tasks to gain Warrior's Release for the other two warriors and he is banned from all other Realms. Nice though Ere Erestor though.

Oh good news about the little boy. Pity Elrond desires a renewing of any bond he might have felt with Legolas. This turkey won't fly. He has just done too much to the wood elf.
Well a Peeping Tom usually gets an eyeful and Elrond did much to his dissatisfaction. Now he ponders his fate to be always bereft. Do we see a pattern here? No not that Thranduil is always involved. Elrond seems to use and even abuse his lovers and then expects them to be at his beck and call at his convenience. He tells Erestor to seduce the prince and then gets angry when the seduction takes place?

Now we come down to the real reason for his anger. He would have loved to take Ningloriel as his bonded mate but he met her too late. He then engaged in a long relationship with her using her as a spy. Unfortunately he loved her but couldn't give her what she wanted from him and he blames her for this. I am sure Elrond had many loves during the time she had so he suffers from the old dreaded double standard. If he and Ninglorien had bonded she would probably have reveled in her position and been happy. Elrond could have been happy and we wouldn't see all this messy heartachght ght now. But because he went with his head not his heart he now forces himself on her son as revenge. Are all Ninglorien's line so false of heart? Are all of his line so deeply destructive when they fail to attain their desire? He is so full of himself. He is the high and mighty Lord of Imladris and possessor of Vilya. All others are just dust benearth his feet. I hope Legolas can stay out of his clutches. giggle

Chapter 31
Elrond the r*t b*st*rd strikes again. What a web he has woven for the downfall of TawarWaith. Meanwhile the elf in question relaxes in Erestor's capable arms. Wish he could have more of that. So while Elrond is planning more pain for Legolas, Erestor is concerned about having caused more pain for him. What a pair. No one ever talked to Legolas except to demean him. Erestor must be a revelation for him.
So Erestor realizes finally that Legolas is seeking a father. Someone to love him. Erestor's news could kill him from grief. What a mixed up mess. Great story th.
H.
How sad. Someone is worrying about him for the first time. I was glad to read Legolas proclaim he had no feelings for Elrond. he dhe does find it exciting that two strang elves desired him before seeing him. He really needs validation badly.
OK poor Erestor has done it again. Is this about the third time he has caused the elf to blow up? He never knows exactly why it happens, it just happens.
So now the history of the anklet comes to light. What a terrible thing to learn at any time but in the midst of having such a good time. His sanctuary now is ruined. Sigh. He loses everything piece by piece.
Angst was way to close for the prince. He never gets a break does he. Now we have to see how he reacts to this heartbreaking news. giggle

Chapter 32
Beautiful linkingTawaTawar and TawarWaith as he hurls himself away from his pain. They share grief and the forest grieves because it couldn't protect Legolas from the Imladris elves. He is running to Fearfaron for comfort.
I'm sorry Radagast has so much self control. I was hoping he would break his staff over Elros hes head. So Elrond will leave for Imladris in a cold fury leaving behind a real mess for others to try to clean up. He can't get his hands dirty though. Oh no, he is the Lord of Imladris after all.
That dagger. Malthen gave it to him as a gift, he tried to commit suicide with it and then mp (TM) used to to threaten him with. I am amazed he can still use it. Of course he still loves Malthen and he thinks Malthen is his father so go figure.
Heartbreaking but he could kill an elf for the second time. There are a few more elves I think he might be inclined to kill after all this. His dream about Malthen was very telling. Malthen had no heart. Still because he still loves his "father" his self disgust is understandable.
Ah Mithrandir and Aragorn/Estel have wandered into bad territory. Greenwood has become like Grand Central Station of the Middle Earth hasn't it? As far as Mithrandir knowing an elven trail/road, I think he knows lots of things. Many of which he has no intention of sharing. Since being a fool is not a crime deserving of death he't 't hinder them but Legolas has a bone to pick with Mithrandir. A bone named Malthen.
The path has been twisted by Shadow influenced trees. Shadow is truly everywhere.
Radagast sent a message. I thought the bird was so cute when it brought the message. I'm sure the horses don't think cute is the best word. He is very concerned about Legolas' welfare and he should be. I don't thing Legolas is doing too good about now. At least Mithrandir knows that two Imladris elves are the cause of terrible trouble for Legolas. Good the news is about to hit the fan. Now they have to find Legolas and he saves them the trouble.
I think a feral elf free falling out of a tree with a dagger ready to use would be terrifying. Great moves on the elf's part.
Things are sticky now. Legolas is having a rather major hissy fit. Can we blame him? His life has just gone from bad to worse. How much does he have to endure?
I loved Mithrandir wanting to seek justice from the Lord of Imladris about the two elves who spread the gossip about Legolas' parentage to him. Heavy irony here. But Mithranir doesn't believe in this gossip. He thinks Thranduil is Legolas' father. When you consider it the mother can control conception. If she really wanted a whip hand over Thranduil and the two did use Legolas against each other, then she would make very sure that any son she produced would be thegs. gs. Otherwise her weapon would be useless.
Heaertbreaking here. "I need to go home." The only home he has now is Fearfaron. He has to escape all the feelings he can't cope with. Sigh. giggle

Chapter 33
Oh thank you for the timeline. I can see how this can go by the book canon so far. Also the casting out of the Necromancer and then Gollum and so forth. I look forward to your handling of all that. You truly have great style
Aragorn you have no idea how unhinged this poor elf is. Now the trees themselves threaten him. Hurry and placate them.
Another Elrond mention here. He managed to heal Celebrian's spirit to the point that she avoided the Halls of Waiting but she still had to go to the Undying Lands to recover. Legolas doesn't have that option. He is here to the bitter end.
I loved it when he kicked Aragorn.
So even the sons of Elrond wonder at Legolas' parentage. All of the elves in Middle Earth have probably dined out on this news at one time or another.
Aragorn has heard tales of the kinslayer from humans. So sad. Outlaw and hero. Actually that happens a lot. One persons patriot is another's traitor.
This was such a nicd burgeoning friendship chapter.realreally enjoyed your take on Aragorn. He and Mithrandir seem to be very believable. I could almost hear Ian McKellan's voice while reading your words. Very good. giggle

Chapter 26
Radagast demanding a meeting with the Noldor and Elrond wiggling out of it. Why do I get the feeling he does this whenever he can?
Erestor is one horny elf here. I would like for Legolas to have a nice, warm, loving coupling for a change. Not one that is one sided for his partner alone.
My Radagast got hot under the collar, so to speak, didn't he and with good cause. Elrond's quite certain that Legolas is not his son but he cant be totally sure. When Radagast lays Elrond's rionsionship to Legolas all out we see that Elrond has sunk to a new low. How low can he go? Sorry the limbo just took over. Yes Legolas would be shattered by this news. So Elrond gets out of a mess again. He's needed as a healer so Radagast won't hurt Legolas by telling him this news. But he knows Legolas will have to be told someday.
The barrier of protection, like the Girdle of Melian, was a nice touch.
Erestor pondering mortality and the fate of man. What a struggle and for what? He can't figure it out and all Radt wit will say is "It is the way of things." Nice to be so certain.
So light has finally dawned on Elrond. He has had a lot of time to think in the dark watches of the night and now sees that Legolas is worthy of respect and deserving of being loved. So far no one seems to be too willing to carry this out. Elrond has cooked his own goose in this little fiasco. If he could bring Legolas some measure of happiness I could forgive him for causing so much pain. But I just don't think there is any way he could do this. Legolas is TawarWaith and has to stay in Mirkwood while Elrond has to be in Imladirs. He can only destroy what little of the prince's est esteem is left. You've got them in a real Catch-22 here.
I loved the relationship between the young girls and Legolas. He has no sexual feelings for them and they can use him like a doll baby to care for, clothe and tease. And old goat Erestor notices this too.
So Erestor has a secret to share about the RING. Can't wait to hear this one. giggle

Chapter 27
Erestor is right. They have both gone beyond the limits of forgiveness. Amen to that thought.
Erestor still being testy about being called a quisling and why not! So now Elrond sees with different eyes the strength and presence Legolass possesses. Full of unspoken regret and withheld trust. I love that.
Back to the old arguments, anger and frustration. Get over it Elrond.
Oh Legolas such a forthright, honorable, upright elf, especially compared with Elrond and Erestor. Even Elrond is taken back by his capabilities, his genuineness.
OK Now we get to the big News Flash!! The Ring of Power is in Thranduil's Vaults.
Well we know it isn't but is sounds feasible. He has tons of stuff down there. He has things from Aman. I am impressed.
You write of the inevitablity of the joining of these two, Elrond and Legolas, and Erestor feeling it would lead to no good. You also called them lovers which is a stretch considering all that has taken place so far. I am interested in where we are going here.
Legolas is right here. If Thranduil had the ring he would have used it and since he knows the provenance of every item he would know if the ring was there or not. Sad to think that Legolas knows his father values these inanimate things far more than the king ever valued him. But of course that isn't the point. If Sauron even thinks that Thranduil possesses the ring the Woodland Realm is in real trouble.
So Legolas gets to go to the glade for solace and he needs a break here. Erestor needs a little solace too. Nice little hidy hole, or hsould we call it a love nest.
Ah Legolas is in a ful ful mood. Kind of scary to see his sense of humor.
A great exposition chapter and presented beautifully. Not too boring at all. Really upped the suspense level and set up for the future. giggle

Chapter 28
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to mislabel the chapter numbers.
You do description better than anyone I have ever read. You use lots of adverbs and adjectives but they flow so nicely I just admire the effect.
I can tell already I am going to love this chapter. It isn't only nature you describe well. You do body parts good to. Smirk.
Legolas trained to seek pleasure in pain. It certainly seems like it. He seems to concentrate on his partners needs and pleasure and take what is given to him not matter how little or how painful.
Oh dear. Nothing ever goes smoothly for Legolas does it? Now we have him guilt ridden because he fears he has become who he despises the most. So the dagger that he insisted on taking back is now too much of a reminder of his torment and he even considers the whip for a punishment. He needs to get out of this forest and get a better perspective on things.
Erestor chooses not to know what is bothering Legolas and giving him a breakdown. He realizes it must be profound and painful.
I liked the phrase about Legolas' suppressed power and his overt vulnerability.
So Erestor gets his wish and his experience and Legolas is going to get some real loving for a change. That was great. "What's the hurry? We have all eternity." "Too much speech. Let me demonstrate the depth of my dissent." That was just great. giggle

Chapter 29
I'm glad you stretched this out over three chapters. We needed some tenderness after all that battle gore.
I agree with Erestor after he returns to Imladris Legolas may never be so well treated sexually again.
Nice description of the threesome. This would probably be unheard of in Tolkien's universe but fascinating in yours.
So for the first time, and I hope not the only time, Legolas has a lover who concentrates on him. His needs, wants and pleasure. He has been shown that pleasure and pain aren't always companions. Maybe this will give him the ability to reject lovers who do not love him, only want carnal pleasure from him, not with him.
So sweet, Erestor's reactions to Legolas' virginity in certain aspects of coupling. I thought your turnaround with the two was a great twist. At first we expected Erestor to be a sexual predator and up to no good. Here he ends up being the only elf to give Legolas kindness, satisfying, painfree love.
Sigh, that was great. giggle

Chapter 25
Just when I think I can see where this is all going you throw us a curve. This is a mark of great storytelling.
I'm glad there is a place that he can rest and not be all keyed up all the time. If not he would have really gone insane by now. This place sounds like a little bit of silvan paradise.
I wonder if the forest told Radagast where Legolas was, how badly he was hurt and what fungus would heal him? Nice touch to bring this up but not answer it.
I liked Radagast thinking about vain glorious Vala. Oh my. I like his take on the elven rings of power. In their own way the elves are as disruptive of the song as Sauron is. Rather than live in the song the elves sought to stop the changes the song had to make or at least slow those changes. I think the elves were in many ways pulled off the true course by Morgoth as much as the Second Born ever was by Sauron.
So of course Radagast and Legolas would become close friends. They have the same focus. I am glad Legolas has an ally in the fight he has set up to save the forest from the orcs, Nazgul and their dark master. Radagast can see Legolas as few others can.
Sick and tired of the Noldor and their petty demands. They do not show anything much in common with Legolas except their pointed ears so far.
Radagast is gobsmacked now seeing Elrond and Erestor. The two think it will really hit the fan now. Oh goody.
Elrond is a real piece of work isn't he? He denigrates Radagast for his lack of use to Imladris. Yet admits he may have hurt Legolas because of his petty reaction to Ninglorien leaving him. He doesn't want to admit he might have cared a little for her. I doubt that though. Both the Lord and the Queen have demonstratncrencredible selfish, ego centered, miserable excuses for elves attitudes.
So now we get a heartfelt apology from Erestor, the real Erestor. That is a good start anyway.
Elrond blames Legolas for coming between Erestor and his duties to his Lord. Wow. What a selfish, conniving idiot. So far he has led himself into this huge messy endeavor.
Good Radagast knows that whatever is bothering Legolas has been done by these two. They have hurt the forest champion and the wizard doesn't like it. He may not be the most powerful wizard but you never want to get on any wizards bad side. You could be in a world of hurt.
I loved this. Elrond is 'surprised' that Legolas felt he had to beg for help for the human villagers. Then has the gall to ask what sort of character does Legolas thinkond ond possesses. Wow. What incredible denial here. If you listed his lies, deceits, trickery, pain and humiliation he has inflicted on Legolas no jury would convict the prince for killing him. Sheesh. Do you think owning Vilya has softened the Lord's brain any?
Poor villagers. Poor trees. So much suffering. Of course Legolas feels guilt now to add to his pain, sorrow and fear. He feels his confronting the dark Lord is what has brought this on all of them.
Nice meeting between the children and Legolas. Then the Vil Eld Elder once having been once of those children and now far older than Legolas appears to be. That imortal and mortal thing is so hard to get your head around.
Great angsty chapter. Good to see Radagast. giggle
