Thank you, thank you , thank you. This story has brought out into the open a part of my life that had remained hidden. I was able to talk to my mother about my own abuse as a child by my brother. We both had really known but we had not talked about it. I can't say that it was not painful, but it was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I admit that I started reading because it had great sex scenes, but now I'm reading because you are such a good writer. I want more! Thank you again.

The OMG chapter.

Seldom am I left speechless but this chapter completely knocke for for a loop. Starting from Erestor caught in a tree, then the boots hitting the ground and scaring Erestor half to death but the best was Legolas half hanging out of a tree and still able to "perform". Yikes. The images of that will be burned into my brain forever.

Then the sex toys. It got positively hot, humid and harried in the old Woodland Realm that nite. What a nice interlude for Legolas. He needs all the love and satisfaction he can get considering you are only half way through this story and he probably has a lot of angst to suffer through yet. I haven't read the next chapter yet but I am sure it is not all roses. I hope he and Erestor get some more fun time before "real life" intrudes.

I am so utterly blown away by this chapter. After Malthen and Elrond taking such unfair advantage of the poor Prince I am so glad he finally got someone who is really going to make him happy physically. It will be interesting to see if you provide someone to make him emotionally happy also. He may have to wait for Aman before he gets that type of healing.

I am saving the next chapter for tomorrow nite. I think this one chapter was enough for tonite. I will go take a cold shower now. giggle

Hi erobey! I have no idea if this review will get to you (being that there are over a hundred!). But I must tell you, this chapter was overwhelming!. The loving careanduanduil shows to the infant prince and the way you have interposed his grl acl acknowledgement of his utter neglect of his first-born was touching and bittersweet.. The character of Meril intrigues me so...I wonder what will be revealed about her. I wait with baited breath for your next update mellon nin!

Nice to see the Thranduil I know and love emerging at long last! Thrandy is my hero and the eevil Thranduil stories get on my nerves, but your is so well written (and, OK, so hot) that I have stucj with it even when the King of Mirkwood deserved to be shot in the head. I like this turn of events! As a father, there is tenderness and beauty and his new child gives him insight into how he has cruelly used Legolas. Can't wait to see where this is going!

Oh, heh heh. Great chapter. Interesting little device you have there. XD Well, the two of them seem to had quite a bit of fun. SO, we'll be able to see what the twins and everyone else will be doing before the next trial meeting? That's kinda cruel leaving us hanging here, though. =P Ah well, as always I thoroughly enjoyed your work and can't wait for more.

Lovely take on the dagger being thirsty after such a long time with no chance to drink the blood of it's foes. No one wants to help the king despite the threat to him. HA If gold were the only reason for Erebor and the Battle of Five Armies I too would have to agree it wasn't worth it. Thranduil has to come up with a better reason. The dagger should be thrilled, it drank of FirstBorn blood and royal blood at that, just not the king's blood. Nice exposition here.

Thranduil is on shaky ground here and he is beginning to realize it. I liked Legolas' stare with disconcerting contrition at his actions and stubborn defiance at what he had done. I can see your Oropher acting this way in his kingship.

Fearfaron doesn't really know Legolas and what his wants and needs are. He has a deep and abiding love for the release of his biological son and has transfered that to Legolas as the one who released h Leg Legolas needs Fearfaron and this love but he also has his own agenda and sparing himself is not on his list. He feels that he has survived this far, he can go the distance and free the other two warriors, protect his sibs and protect Tawar. He isn't very high on his list or priorities. Fearfaron is afraid of Legolas' living on the edge, his habit of chasing after punishment. Well Malthen made him a masochist so he chooses a masochist's life. He doesn't know any other life yet. Seeing all this reconciled will be interesting.

Now Thranduil jumps to false conclusions about Legolas, Mithranand and Erestor again. He probably thinks Legolas is sleeping his way to whatever he wants. I think the king must be very aware of Legolas' and his sexual proclivities and did nothing to care for his long term mental health. I am looking forward to more king bashing if that is the case. I hate it when younglings get taken advantage of. I'm sorry that Ningloriel is not around to get her comeupance also.

A ruler must know his enemies. He must keep his friends close and his enemies closer. I don't think the king even notices his real enemies. He is too busy tilting at windmills. He is slowly being revealed in his foolishness. He must have had a very insulated life so far. Insulated by his loyal Sinda guards and Sylvan rabble. Well I wouldn't count on that for much longer.

Here is Gladhadithen to the rescue. Like a mommy and a recalcitrant elfling. At least everyone got a chance to breath. But with Mithrandir pushing the king's buttons things could get hairy again. Since the councilor is a little put out at being out of the loop again we get pulled back into his schedule. Whew.

Again Thranduil has to back down from the charges that were lodged against Legolas. After all the outcast did what Thranduil had done. The crowd could easily see that and the king cannot be beyond the rules of his kingdom. Well not if he wants to stay king. Look at Nixon.

Thranduil is going to have a lot to think about after this meeting. Talagan and his cold regard, Fearfaron and his pushing, Mithrandir and his asides, his guards hanging back, Erestor and his demeanor. Wow.

It is interesting though that what was started with Legolas has now spread to the agitation of the whole elven realm. We have Elrond and Erestor up to their necks in intrigue, 'Lorien having to be intermediary if they can prevail on Thranduil, Elrond's children on the edge of despair, Erestor's mates in terror and the Woodland Realm in an uproar. Because of just one warrior who couldn't die. This is truly a festering mess that needs to be opened, drained, and cauterized to prevent further damage.

Nice little interlude there when father and son are in agreement. Probably the only time Thranduil has ever agree with Legolas in his whole life. Why, the king wonders. You probably won't be happy when you find out oh king.
Where is Maltahondo? Where indeedy. Out of commission right now. How sad; cough, cough.

Now we come to Legolas' main argument. Only he can release the remaining two warriors. I don't buy that actually but I think he 'can' release them but he isn't responsible for them. Poor, sad Lindalcom. Heds rds release too from his nightly dreams. He father is trying to tell him what's necessary and no one listens to the poor guy, elf, wwhatwhatever. Truth about Erebor is necessary for the entire population. Now that there is a question about Erebor the elves need to "know" that things have been handled fairly.

Was Malthen staring at Legolas greedily? I thought for awhile Malthen wanted to really help Legolas. He came back I thought to do so. Oh well we'll see. I think I will just call the healer Gladdie, not Galadriel Gladdie but Gladhadhithen Gladdie. I hope that made some sense. Anyway Gladdie has things well in hand, with warriors to make sure Malthen doesn't wander away somewhere and get lost. We can't have that. It may be time for his comeupance and we have waited for about seventy chapters for that.

Thranduil may be disgruntled, dismayed, disoriented and disheveled but he will have a lot to ponder on tonite. He and Meril can have a real gabfest and Meril can get more and more worried about her position. Why am I smiling about that one? HA

I think we all need this break. So much emotion in one day is just too much. Let's all go sleep it off. giggle

I like the title of this chapter. I want to thank Sarah AK in advance. We have had to wait much too long for more elf love.

Lovely forest scene. I am glad we are back outside since I love to read your descriptions of Tawar. I know you do a great job of things like the council meeting but I like outside best. You make Tawar so lush, varied and alive.

All Legolas' friends gathered around eyeing him as if he were mad. Well he is but there is a method to his madness. He has a goal and he won't let anyone interfere. Being upset because he wants to be allowed to pursue his goal without his friends questioning him. They have seen him, they know he is capable but he is not at all caring about himself. That is what friends are for. When you don't care they will. He has done a good job so far but at a great cost to himself. I can accept he knows more of the situation than his friends do but he doesn't know all. There may still be obstacles to defeat him and bring him down without helping his siblings. I loved everyone taking flight so that Erestor and Legolas could be alone. Grin.

Legolas' old sanctuary all ruined by Malthen. How typical. The poor outcast has nothing to call his own, not even good memories. Here he has another attack of grief. It's going to take a long time before he can truly love. He can enjoy being with others sexually but love is going to be very elusive for him. He has too pai pain and fear that has to be dealt with first. This is the way a tryst ought to start, with handholding. I believe in slow, long foreplay. More fun that way.

No one has ever been protective of him. He will finally have all the little things he never enjoyed growing up. No wonder he feels so strongly about his siblings. He never wants an elfling to suffer through what he has. He could so easily be a real SOB but instead he is very caring.

I was a little confused about whether Legolas knew that Ningloriel and Malthen were lovers but you cleared that up later on in the story. I don't know how you keep all this straight. The story has just wound around, coiled, shuffled and changed from POV to POV. I love it. You never know what is around the corner. A movable feast.

Legolas' honor. I feel that among the sharks, snakes and man eating spiders of the elven realms that Legolas definitely has honor. More than Elrond and Thranduil at this point in time. Maybe that is why he is having such a hard time. An honorable elf in dishonorable times is at a definite disadvantage.

AHHH Erestor is like an elfling who had an adventure and got lost in the woods. Erestor is aware that he got lost. Elrond got lost too. Will he be able to find himself as Erestor has. I thought it was very painful when Legolas said he couldn't use Erestor's name. That name will be anathema for him.

I thought Sigilad (sp) was a nice touch. I have forgotten what Berenauer means so I will go look it up. Maybe Legolas can reserve Long-Knife for more lustful moments.

Sheesh that Gladdie is everywhere. Maybe she was checking up on a patient and saw he needed some serious home care. At least she was very helpful.

Well that was a great love scene. No slam, bam, thank you ma'am there. I think I will sit for awhile with a dreamy smile on my face. Thank you. giggle

I am all caught up now. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Well I could just go back and re-read. Since I am very far behind in reviewing another story that will be a pleasure I will have to postpone for later.

I loved the maze type hroa/fea leading to the tree. Gladdie was being very clever wasn't she? Great descriptions of the path as usual.

Oh my. Great big smirk on my face as Erestor contemplates Legolas' glow as an elf. Even flowers respond to TawarWaith. Well the trees in the glade did so it makes sense that all good, green living things would respond to his aura.

Legolas doesn't know how to make love, only how to have sex. A lot of people have that problem. They want sex, control of the situation or of an individual. Love has nothing to do with all that.

Gladdie sent them to a place for newly bonded couples? Does she see something that these two don't? Maybe they are giving off a vibe.

That was very interesting that Erestor has received a measure of peace from Legolas and his situation. I really focused on the "from doom to benediction." Since he was chosen as TawarWaith even before birth we can look at all that happened as a way to get him from here to there. Seeing who helped, harmed, hindered and took advantage of him and his situation as a way to clear the way for his part in the future. If a something doesn't kill us it can make us stronger. That is hard totemptemplate while we are in the big middle of despair but in hindsight we can see the building process. It may not have been fair, definitely not easy and much too painful at the time but it may have made us what we are. And Legolas will become legend.

Meanwhile Erestor is concerned to counteract the idea that Legolas very existence has been viewed as shameful and no good can come from him. You always up the old angst-o-meter.

I loved "Are you not finished yet?" Talk Talk Talk When do we get down to business. Hey enjoy elf guy. Getting there is half the fun. The young can be so impatient.

Erestor's thoughts throughout these two chapters have been so beautiful. He realizes that Legolas is not truly free just as he isn't truly free but they can each have a little piece of the other's heart. They can share. Erestor needs the solace he can give Legolas as much as the outcast prince does. And Erestor certainly has a way with words.

Oh lovely a race. And Erestor cheated. Big guffaw here from giggle
