I just LOVE your story! I found it a while back, and have read it twice (I have been meaning to review for awhile now). It was a "feel good" story; a modern-day fairy tale don't we all wish we could live? Your characters were very likable; I was able to easily connect with them. I enjoyed the dynamic between Haldir and Susan from being ackward strangers to being romantically involved; and Alistair was a hoot. I laughed; I cried. It was just wonderful. I have visited Vancouver a couple times, and have been to some of the places you described; it was fun to "revisit" them. Thank you for sharing this story. Keep up the good work!

Brilliant! I look forward to re reading how Glorfindel gets on living on 'Earth' and look forward to reading more about Susan & Haldir's attempts adding to their family!

I came back and read your story. It is much richer in detail than what I normally see. I think you are on your way.
I am concerned. Does Susan have a problem with fellatio or does she like to get hers and leave her husband hanging? It would drive me crazy if I was with a man who just wanted me to blow him and never was concerned about cunnilingus. If Susan can't do this married, when if ever is Susan going to do it?
I like the way all the LOTR characters love Susan but what has she done for them? I like that they stand up for her, look out for her, and worry about her needs, but a life without giving is a difficult life for me to picture. Giving makes me happy. Why doesn't she give of herself? What about Haldir's dead parents or the relationship with his siblings? What did they think about Haldir giving away his immortality for his mortal bride? They might be FNs to your story, but I think if you explored Susan's Mom and Dad, her baby brother and her friends' relationships surely Orophin and Rumil rank somewhere in the picture.
I read to the last chapter posted chapter 22 because I wanted to see where it went. I find that when I read I either buy in completely and my mind fills in the gaps with a story. If I don't buy in completely, I generally keep reading to see if the writer fills in the holes wherever he or she has created them. I think you just didn't think about them or don't think they are important, but it is the small details that make the reader buy into the world you have created.
I always had a soft spot for Thraundill. I wished he would have acted better.

Ideal, she has put her past to rest. Now she can concentrate on moving forwards with her new life and dare I say new love?????
Fantastic chapter, I liked the way she contronted Greg, and the way his nasty barbed comments ran off her like water off a ducks back. Dear Haldur also rose to protect her and saw right through the jerk! I liked the bit when they were teasing each other on the bed! Lighthearted, and a happy moment! Excellent, I look forward to reading the next chapter!
