I can't quite think of a more heartwarming story at the moment. You captured in a nutshell so to speak the simple pleasures children hold so dear and how the loving indulgence of them can mold them dramatically as they grow up. And the almost poetic style admirably suited the mood and theme of your tale. This is one of the loveliest pieces I've ever read.
