How often have I visited this lonely site, only to see you have abandoned your darling, your creation, your story. How it wails in the wilderness! What can be more wrenching thatn a call from an abandoned baby like this one? Won't you please come and pick up your child, soothing it with another chapter or two. saying, "There there, Mommy didn't mean to leave you all alone here." (Um, or Daddy, but I guess that'd be the exception.)
This is a tremendous start. Please do go on. I haven't your easy way with dialog and besides, I don't WANT to finish it. I want YOU to finish it.

First, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates. I'm really slow at writing and thus, I need a lot of time to finish one chapter. Sorry about that, really. I write here mainly to tell you (specially to Kalima, who so kindly insisted about it; thank you, your interest is much appreciated) that I have already finished the first part of the second chapter and I'm working on the second part, but until I have it all completed, I'm not planning on posting it here. Anyway, if you like, you can give me your email address, or mail me yourself (my email is on my profile) and I could send you the part A of 2nd chapter. Or if you don't wish to, you could always read it from my LJ, where it is posted (the link is again on the profile). Thank you again, everyone for your comments, they make me very happy. Thank you.
(Oh my God, I feel awful for posting a review to my own story!!!!Sorry!!)

Must must must write more. You really can't stop here, my dear. I can't be the only one hanging around, languishing for want of more "A Kiss on the Brow.: Even if the other cads won't review, I can feel them prowling.

You are driving me crazy with your decision to let this story languish! It's suffering, can't you see? It fades, in a very real way, fading from the memories of your readers. some of us kind enough to tell you how much we like it (and I certainly do -- your ability to put some rather modern playfulness believably into their mouths still impresses me on second reading). I so much want to know these elves better!
And I so much want to see how you bring them together.

Oh, oh, oh! So so good! I can see this is going to be one of my favorite stories. I'm all atingle with anticipation. I think you're very skillful at showing us their close friendship, and I reveled in the great banter, and I take delight in how you're not quite letting us know how Glorfindel feels (yet, but what a great hint about Glorfindel thinking about how Erestor gets tense every time he shows sincere affection toward him, a bare whisper of Glorfindel minding this), and taking time for us to get to know the characters and therefore come to care very much that they be happy.
Love the mystery of Lindir. What the heck is his problem? And how delightful to have Erestor give that reply, knowing that to show outrage was what he wanted. And, thank goodness, a hint when Lindir smiles at Erestor's reply that maybe we will eventually find something to like in the "difficult" elf.
And why can't he be trained if elves always mend (well, we know that his hand wouldn't be replaced, but anything short of such mutilating . . . )? Would he lose his temper and kill somebody? Is that why he has to be sent away -- he nearly did someone in? (Or did do someone in? Nah -- he wouldn't be so uncaring.) Anyway, good intrigue. Good character. Your decision to show us our beloved Imladrians in this way (through the reflections off of a definite problem/person) is a very good one.

How refreshing! What a great read! Such wit! Wonderful dialogue. I'm hooked... can't wait to see the exchange between Lindir and Elrohir... not to mention the development of Glorfindel and Erestor's relationship. Thanks for sharing with us.
