Ah! You've done it again. That masterful weaving of movie and book canon into the story line is so fabulous! I really liked the dialogue between Boromir and Legolas in this chapter- so clearly demonstrated how they see not only each other, but also how they feel about their own homelands.
"Fifteen Years" is on hold temporarily. I just couldn't maintain in the face of some of the negativity, especially when it started spilling over into other places that I post stories. Morier has left the community entirely, but I promise I won't! I WILL finish "Fifteen Year" and then I will complete "The Blue Book" and "Courtesan of Imladris".

Hey! I'm still reading, and still absolutely loving this story. I just can't always review becuase AFF.N is so slow, if I do it at home, I risk loosing the whole thing.
And I like the flashbacks. Sets the mood and explains what has occured before that has bearing on the now. All great stories need great backgrounds. I find this whole thing very interesting, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
It's nice to see that Aragorn at least tried to find a way around his lust for violence. Too bad it didn't work too well. But it shows the depths of his care that he was willing to try. Perhaps Gandolf can offer some sort of consolation...or not... hehehe

Well, I suppose that it was only reasonable for Aragorn to try drugs at one point. Too bad that ultimately it became ineffective - and scared him off of any alternatives.
Whatever magical response/quick fix Aragorn is hoping for from Gandalf, I think that he is going to be doomed to disappointment. The only hope I see in breaking the spell, is to break the power of the One Ring. I suppose that ought to be incentive for Aragorn (as if ridding Middle-Earth of Sauron isn't enough).

Ooh!
Okay. I don't feel so much like kicking Aragorn anymore. He's a victim of Elronds ambitions, too. Doesn't mean I don't want to knock some sense into him! But maybe Gandalf can do that? I mean, you ARE going to give him a chance to talk to Gandalf before... well... we all know what happens in Moria, don't we?
Lovely memory scenes in this one- finally understanding the Aragorn's slow realization that he cannot care for Legolas without hurting him. *huggles Legolas*

Yay, another chapter :)
I do have a suggestion - why not have Legolas & Gandalf talk to each other? Gandalf's the one person Legolas could confide in; about that drink, about how Aragorn's forced to behave... a combination of him trying to defend his master and wishing to finally tell someone for his own sake.

Not much to say on this chapter - just to let you know that I am still reading, and anxiously awaiting each chapter.
Something went wrong with this chapter's upload - punctuation, italics, I don't know what, but I am seeing odd characters at the beginning and ending of some sentences. Something to keep an eye out for, next time.
Well, Boromir is (still) angry and jealous, and just doesn't understand about Legolas. Perhaps it is just the anger/bitterness, but his thinking of Legolas now as "slut" and "bed toy" isn't promising. Somehow I get the feeling that he isn't going to be "gentle" at his next "opportunity".
And Legolas - it seems that *he* isn't looking forward to going through the Golden Wood. I am guessing that we are in for some nightmare reliving of their past visit(s) there... at best.

Grrr. Just tried to leave a review and it got eaten! Bad bad yrchs in the database!
Anyway, where was I? Oh, yes. Not kicking Aragorn. Yet. I'm really enjoying Legolas' conversations with Boromir. Poor Boromir just doesn't get it, does he? I'm not sure he can, coming from the nobility that he does. He wouldn't understand what it's like to be a slave, to obey where you are told, whether you welcome it or not.
And now, into the mountains, and then the road to Moria... *shudder* Why do I think things are about to get alot worse?
Oh, very good job on the seaming together of book and movie canon in this chapter. Not an easy trick, but I think it worked beautifully.
