Hi^^
you once mentioned that you write in German.. but still, I will keep this in English, understandable for everybody.^^
Wow. What a wonderful storyline you have woven into the Lord of the Rings. You even combined the movies and the book! That's a good one, because both of them have their advantages: the jokes and the action in the movies, and the wonderful story of the book with all its details. But this is to be about your text, no?^^ First I was sceptical about such a long fanfiction, but now I am sad that you did not get any further until now. I find myself walking down the street and thinking: poor Legolas! And nasty Sauron, corrupting Elrond like that. I do not want to imagine what Sauron himself does to h i s captured beings. No... T_T Did you ever think about that?
And what I wanted to ask from the beginning: does this fanfiction exist in German, or did you write it entirely in English? It would be great to read it in German, but it is not much of a difference. I thought this had been written by a native speaker.^^ Sometimes you used too much of the movie's text, for my taste. I like the book better. I loved how you described the development of the early relationship between Aragorn and Legolas. Still, Aragorn is strange somehow... he seems emotionally unintelligent to me sometimes. xD *knocks his head* But he is truly human, this strangeness only emphasizes that fact, and I can only like him for it. Erestor is d a r k! Huh! really... gloomy^^ I love gloomy Elves. He and Elrond and the corrupted main characters are evil, but sometimes they seem not clever to me, like Aragorn maybe. Elrond is the best example. Why would he endanger his reputation, his honour, his whatnot just to see Legolas suffering? Is his mind that taken by the ring? That would be the only excuse for such actions. oÔ Strange Elrond. *scratches* Does he have such a temper to act like that? I do not understand him...^^°
8^.^8 Ooooh, but I love Elves! How happy Legolas was when he found that spot of light in Moria! How cute when he is talking to the trees, when he is amused about Boromir noticing his phosphorensic skin. xD I would help him. I would carry Frodo all the way to mount doom to help him, really.
*coughes* What I wanted to say is: Your characters are wonderful. I can see them before me, and they shape anew when you free from the directly given storylines in book and movie. What a lucky plotbunny you've gotten here!^^ Please, go on soon! I am so eager to learn about Haldir and Orophin and Rumil and their apparently sad story. How will Galadriel be? And what about Boromir dying? And the race through Rohan. Will Legolas be in danger? What about the friendship with Gimli? Oh, and when Gandalf finally returns... and Saruman! Wow xD Now, that would be really cruel, to bind a slave to an Uruk-Hai. oÔ How did I come to think about that? xD I used to like some torture in fanfictions, but it is the most interesting when the villain is only an antagonist, convinced that he is on the good (or right) side and the others are bad or at least stupid.^^ In your fiction, the torture is a really bad matter, and nothing to enjoy, but that's only right.
Poor Legolas, again. I hope you find a time to continue! You cannot have a lack of inspiration, can you?^^ I will provide you with feedback if I can. I definitely intend to.^^
Elves rule!^^v *smirk*

I saw your update and squealed with glee! I was beginning to think you had abandoned this lovely story; but I am really glad you have not. Thank you for this wonderful (and somewhat disturbing) update. I can't wait to see what is wrong with Rumil...
Will be eagerly awaiting more!

I like this story very much, its tragic and imaginative. But I wish something good would happen to Legolas, or that he would fall out of love with Aragorn. The ranger doesn't deserve him.

Silly me taking my sweet damn time to review. Again, your beautiful plot drew me in. I'm getting very fond of the conflict between Aragorn and Legolas. I see slave and master who both have a mind of their own, but they love each other so much. It really just tears up the reader that Aragorn has to hurt Legolas to fulfill his part of the bond.
My expressed hope is that you don't make Haldir a bad guy solely because he had always been one of my favorites as Glorfindel has been. I absolutely am riveted. Ok, soon-er has past.
New chapter please! *throws a cookie*

Well, I think if I were to sit down and write a review for every chapter, I'd end up writing a novel myself, and since I'm stuck on my own projects, let's just do this one, shall we? XD I just want to say first and foremost what a wonderment it is to have an author such as yourself publishing their works on AFF! You could easily do personal works that would probably make Ann Rice blush at her own inadequacy.
But, let's just start at the beginning.
First off, it's so wonderful to have something original. I realize that your story was based on the others, but I have never seen anything the like of your style or the blatant hard work and effort you put into your story. Your originality is stunning. You see very deeply into the characters as you would have them in your world, and I appreciate that so much. I hate reading stories where the characters have the depth of a matchbox. I can tell you take the time to analyze your characters, and that adds to the unique quality of your stunning work.
Secondly, I would just like to say that I congratulate you on making an AU where the characters are still in character. I can red this story, compare to book, movie verse alike, and still see it in my head. Thank god for you and your ability to keep them in character. Horribly out of character stories annoy me and generally incur my very not-so-nice critique.
Finally, I want you to know that I see the hard work you put into this. The references. The memory. The Elvin that you painstakingly incorporate. I'm just awed by your ability to mix the movie, the books, and the taste of your own world to make a story that is not only filled with smutty, hardcore goodness, but also is believable and makes some of us wish it were true canon.
But then, Tolkien would roll over in his grave.
You are amazing. Thank you so much for the piece of incredible work. I look forward to your next update. It's been a pleasure reading this far.
Sincerely,
♥ BrucesGirl ♥
