Glad to see you posting again. It's so sad when stories get abandoned. I am most intrigued as to where you're taking Erestor's story.

Hmm. I like your writing, but had avoided this one as it sounded a bit too callous for me, but I got too tempted, knowing it was you writing it. I was somewhat shocked at the modern vernacular, particularly in the "gay bar" and the reference to the unelvish casual sex apparently many elves participate in. So you see I'm having some trouble accepting your universe. But it is intriguing to hear Rumil call Glorfindel a spoiled whining brat in his mind. So I'll keep reading. Do you not take so long to post, please! I had to reread to remember what the heck is going on. I am hoping for Erestor to be redeemed, and you hint at a sad past that has made him inot the hard character he is "today."

Uh . . . I meant "into." in the sentence that included " . . . him inot the hard character he is "today."
It was sweet of you to write me a post, which I just got after writing this review. I love your writing, and it is a totally new elvish universe you have here. I truly need to know what happens next, so don't take my whining as anything other than my period of adjustment to the new rules. Just think of me as a kind of Glorfindel, yeah, that's it. (I WISH!) I'm just a little whiney because Erestor won't give ME a chance.

Apologies for the lack of continuation of this story - I had originally written it as a tribute to the wonderful tv series 'Queer as Folk', so I hadn't planned on any further chapters. However, response has been great so I have started to write a follow up. Kalima, the title of the story relates to its inspiration so please don't think that it is any way disrespectful to our gay brothers and sisters... or our dearest elves!

Well, the title turned me off at first (too flip, too condemning somehow), but I was so appreciative of your "Glorfindel Unleashed," I decided to give it a look. Intriguing, complicated characters. Why is Erestor so determined to protect his heart? If his walls are to crumble, who is going to be there to pick up the pieces? Glorfindel or Rumil? Can youthful charm and adoration compete against the jealous love of a balrog slayer? Will Celebrian take more action in her dislike of Erestor? Can she get him banished? Is Elrond more accepting of his bi- and homosexual elf advisors and friends than Celebrian?
How is it the leves sitting behind Arwen would dare speak of sodomites in the hearing of Lord Erestor? If the society is so unaccepting of different sexual desires, why is Lord Erestor so respected?
Stay tuned!

An enchanting tale!
Love how you portray Erestor and Glorfindel; quite differently of how the reader gets them served up!
Erestor is not passive and Glorfie isn't getting any... :D
What works very well for me: There is enough here, for Rumil to feel hurt here, but BECAUSE of his innocence he doesn't and perseveres... booking result!
Or does he?
Surely that "FIN" word is a mistake?
There is so much left to play with!

Yum. Yum yum.
Sequel, please, though. Demanding more and more! Must know more! Okay, I'm going to try a full sentence here. :) This was fun. I think the beginning was a bit shakey, too gritty, but it evened out very nicely. And I do like Rumil's dislike of Glori! lol that was great.
So much here has been left unexplored, though. Please say there will be a continuation.
