Yes, poor Frodo. *snickers* I could just hear Sam screaming in this chapter. Old what's his face ... Sean Astin, is it? ... did a good job of Sam in the movie, and I hear his voice yelling, “We have to find him! We have to go after him!”
Great chapter. The suspense is building!

You're welcome. Thank you for updating so quickly!
Eeep! I think that someone needs to come to Frodo's rescue, or he'll be riddled with knife-shaped holes! :-)

You characters are right on what I would imagine the characters would be like -- if they were fleshed out a bit more than they were in the books. :-)
My, my! Poor Frodo, thinking that Bill hurt Sam and Rosie!

I've never read a hobbit-based story before, but I took a chance tonight, thinking I might enjoy it, and am glad I did. This is well-written and very interesting. I like that you are taking your time in telling the story, too, as some people would just skip the plot and go straight to the sex/pain.
Btw, I could be wrong, but I think gaffer is a term for grandfather, and as such, would not be used as 'the Gaffer.' But I might be wrong. :-) Anyway, though, I hope you update soon. Since you haven't warned for slash, I'm assuming that the h/c in this story (if you don't intend to be entirely dark and kill off Frodo,) will be from his friends. I can't wait for the comfort, even though we haven't even begun the hurt. :-)
