WOW! What a twist! I kind of knew something like that was coming, though. It felt extremely OOC for Elrond and too fast to be normal. ;)

Can't wait to see what happens next! :D

Woo-hoo! Yeay for the S.M.U.T. (Sexual Meandering Underneath Talans). Well I suppose it's not a talan, but whatever.

I can't believe Elrong became that smart that quickly. Good Elrond! *pets him, tries not to drool*

The morning after brings more complications, sayeth the Voice of Idyllic Doom. Mwahahahahahaaa.

But...Beth...Agent Smith is hot too! ;D I know what you mean about characters becoming who you read them. I do that all the time. :) Nice to have a fleshed out idea of someone, though I think my Elros is quite a bit away from canon. ;)

Beat me over the head, Beth?? tsk tsk tsk. Frosty told me about your questions, so I just had to come look. ;) I dunno if she's responded to you via email or chapter, so I'll play it as if I assume she has already and not recite the list again. But it's very nice to read what you like...I'll definitely keep those locations/characters in mind...as much as I love Gondor, it's time to visit the Elves again at some point or other. ;) :D

And...Elrond is HOT! He's the KING! ;) :D Sowwy. *cough*

Too tired to review last night, but thanks so much for answering my questions! It's fun to interact so much with other writers, in a way that simply isn't possible or plausible for published authors.

Something I wish I'd told everyone who wrote a story with a dream sex sequence in it...YOU ROCK! It's such a wonderful way to insert smut without it being gratuitous, and a disconcerted Elrond is a funny picture, indeed! I can only hope Arwen will take the news well when she finds out...IF she finds out that they like each other.

Don't worry about using my plot ideas--unless I spend two hours writing up a thesis on them, they won't be better than mediocre, anyway. XD I just remembered you guys wanting suggestions, so if you ever get stuck, the readers out here, myself included, will toss you a bone to chew. Snerk.

I. Love. Legolas. I don't really care what color hair or wyes he has, or who he's shagging, so long as he's not being violated (excessively) or acting like a complete loser. I don't like him because he's Legolas, but because dewpite his character being more developed than, say, Thranduil or Erestor, there is still so much to learn about him. Unlike other random elves, however, Tolkien has given us a push in the right direction; people can't just make up crap and expect everything to fit his personality, even his movieverse personality. Sure, there's a TON of badfic out there, but I discount that. Any other elf would be just as interesting to me if I felt I had a sense of his character (and he wasn't a father to a principal female married to another principal male XD). I'm not a Haldir buff, but when the author fleshes the characters out, or simply uses them enough times in enough fics, he takes on a life of his own in my mind, and then I can see THAT version of the character in EVERY story I read about him from then on. As I read more Faramir and Boromir stories, I find myself liking them much more, as with Eomer and Haldir.

Plus, he's the only one left alive AND single in the Fellowship who's tale was never really finished. Or begun, for that metter. Now I'm going to have to go back and read the entire bloody works of Tolkien just to understand the debate about Legolas' age, Elven race, and hair color. Damn you all! ;)

Elven, I just don't know...when I see Elrond as some kind of benevolent version of a Sephiroth?/Annubis/Vampire D Without The Vampire kind of brunette, THEN I can imagine he's hot, the way Thranduil is hot. But Hugo Weaving just makes me think of black suits and "Hello again, Missster Annnderson...." *snorts* Actors really are stuck being remembered as a few pivotal roles for the rest of their careers. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

Thank you both for updating! There is nothing more enjoyable at night than settling down, slapping on the headphones, cranking up the streaming Film/Movie Soundtracks channel, and reading good fic. It must be a guilty pleasure, or I don't know what is. ;)

Excuse me? I do NOT preen! I may have, on occasion, primped but I do not PREEN! *clears throat* Now, where were we? Ah, yes …

WOW, Frosty! You can choreograph my dreams anytime! I just love it when she likes him and he likes her, but neither knows what the other’s thinking. Reminds me of the Summer of Pain before hubby and I got together. *sigh* Lots of chances for furtive glances, miscommunication and sexual tension! No pending sense of doom, yet. But I know it’s just a matter of time. *rubs hands together in anticipation* Oh, and one other thing …

*Grabs Wee Willie and runs out of frame shouting, “Here I come, Boromir! Don’t worry, I’ll save you from that evil harridan!"*

Ohh! I love this story already! I love how the characters speak so properly, but you can still relate to them. Sometimes authors are so focused on the fancy language that they forget to add any emotion to their words. But you're doing magnificent!

I've been looking for some good Elrond\OC stories. I've found one! Woo! And it's not cheesy! WOO!

I've become this story's stalker. *pitches a tent and loads in a couple cases of Mountain Dew and Gummy Worms.* Write on!

Hey there! I had some suggestions and ideas when I thought about this story some more.

1. Possibly having Cala meddle in some kind of ritual/potion/spell that she should NEVER have touched. It backfires in one of two ways-- a) it affects or damages something in Rivendell and Elrond punishes her for it, or b) it directly affects either her or Elrond's emotions/behavior, and definitely NOT for the better.

2. Outsider comes into the picture and tries to steal Cala's affections, and Elrond doesn't like this one bit for reasons he does/does not fully understand. (not creative, but ALWAYS amusing. Battle of wits, charm and/or hearts ensues.

Question--I was reading through some of the discussions on your message board, and I ran across the comment that you write for Elven what she likes and vice-versa. Many of your past stories run together in my mind, because both of you are good enough writers and work together so much that you use similar styles and it's sometimes very difficult to separate one author from the other. Who are/is you favorite character(s), and who are/is Elven's? Just curious, it's not important.

One of the things I enjoy a lot is your diveristy of settings. Sometime you should try writing one prequel set before the WotR, a story during the War, and the sequel after.

Not that I think anyone cares, but in case you couldn't tell already, my favorites are, in descending order (from beloved to scorned XD) :

Locations:
1. Caras Galadhon
2. Minas Tirith
3. Mirkwood / Rivendell
4. Ithilien / Minas Morgul
5. Edoras / Helm's Deep
6. Bree
7. Random Places
8. Hobbiton (not that I don't think it's very cute, but no favorite story of mine has ever had its setting there)

Timelines (AU):
1. WotR
2. Immediately after the WotR / Very Early FA
3. Immediately before WotR / Very Late TA
4. Late SA / Early TA (Rise of the Shadow, 1st War with Sauron)
5. Everything Else (I have yet to read a Modern-Age 6th-Age sotry I like, although I've heard Scribe has some good ones)

Male Characters:
1. Yes, I know it's trite, but he was my type BEFORE the films... Legolas.
2. Faramir (HA HA HA HA HAAAAA! Bet you didn't see that one coming...neither did I. I had to think about this for a looooong time, and I still really could care less if forced to choose between numbers 2-6)
3. Any one of the miscellaneous secondary Elves, provided they have a well-developed character--Elladan, Elrohir, Rumil, Orophin, Thranduil, Erestor, Saelbeth, etc)
4. Aragorn / Boromir -- they're both equally hot. On second thought, maybe they should be up there with Faramir...
5. Incarnated Sauron or Melkor/Morgoth (think of a demonic, very handsome verson of Severus Snape or someone equally vampiric) / Eol/ Maeglin / Tuor
6. Eomer / Prince of Dol Amroth
7. Elrond (I keep seing Hugo Weaving and I just can't make myself think he's hot. I tried, I tried! *cries*)
8. Frodo (too cute to be hot)
9. Icky people like Theoden. Gandalf, Samwise, the Witch King, Gimli, The MoS... XD

Don't get me wrong, I looooove the MoS and the Witch King and Gandalf in their proper roles. Duh. But it is all about Legolas and the stewards here. *lures Legolas with provacative bodice*

Female Characters:
1. Your Mary Sues / OFC's
2. Eowyn / Arwen
3. Almost all other Mary Sues / OFC's

And now I know myself better. How strange. *shrugs*

Anyway, please beat Elven over the head gently until she posts more of Masks or WH. Thank you! :D *runs off*
