Uh oh... now we're getting all sappy and lovee-dovee. Not that there's anything wrong with that! *Ducks from Glorfindel's glare* Nothing wrong with that all. Honest!
Seriously, can't wait to see where it's headed from here!

Oh, I can't wait to find out more about Erestor! Poor elf... And I'm really enjoying the relationship between Glorfindel and Legolas too. Love the hesitency, as well as Legolas' attitude. I find this whole bonding tradition thing really interesting as well. This story is so wonderful! Sorry I havn't reviewed before; I really love this story!

You have created a type of "How To..." story of what to do and not to do for getting the one you love.
Thranduil is showing wonderful consideration for Erestor, building his trust, selecting thoughtful gifts, and letting Erestor set the pace. It would be doubly hard for Thranduil to see Glorfindel just claim who he wanted and finding it to be his own son.
Glorfindel, on the other hand, used an old tradition that has become outdated for obvious reasons to get who he wanted. Yes, he was thinking of Legolas when he built the cabin 36 years ago, but he wasn't planning any type of courtship with it. How could Legolas not think of himself as a bonded slave and how can Glorfindel actually believe it wouldn't feel that way? Glorfindel seems very single-minded in what he wants and how he goes about getting it. It isn't until after he has hurt Legolas sexually that he feels bad about what he as done, but only that the act itself had hurt Legolas, not that he has taken Legolas from everything that he has known.
The part where you had Legolas being taken from his father was well done, showing how scary this was for both father and son. And also, that Glorfindel was still determined to have what he wanted even after witnessing that scene showed something about his own determination. It was also a great way to have Erestor bring out his past hurt.
I'm hoping Glorfindel has to work very, very hard to gain Legolas's affection. That he also realizes that maybe how Thranduil and Erestor are growing in their relationship shows Glorfindel where he went wrong and that he might have gotten what he wanted in a more considerate way.
I like that Legolas was upset with Glorfindel and refused to have him touch him for whatever purpose. He may have had to submit, but he didn't have to like it or enjoy it. Yes, Legolas now feels that Glorfindel feels badly about what he has done, but it doesn't change the fact that he took what he wanted even when asked to stop. I'm very curious as to where you will go next with this.
Truly you have created an intriguing story.

I have to tell you, I am enjoying this story tremendously!. I especially like the fact that you did *not* have Glorfindel and Legolas just fall into bed in a Happily-Ever-After type of scenario... it adds some good tension to your lovely story... Looking forward to your next update :)

Loving your story but Glorfindel really needs to get his come-uppence (can't rememebr how to spell that). Perhaps Erestor should suggest to Thranduil that the king DOES claim him in the same way. Perhaps then Glofindel will understand exactly what he's done. (And it was Erestor's idea so he won't be getting hurt.) As I can't see Glorfindel accepting that very well. Oh and please have Legolas make Glorfindel suffer; this shouldn't come easy for him.

What Glorfindel did to Legolas was tantamount to rape. His actions speak differently than this words, he takes what he wants without thought of how others feel.....I really hate this version of Glorfindel. He deserves to suffer for what he did to Legolas, not for just the rape but the way he abducted him!! How humilating for Legolas!!
As soon as Thranduil hears how Glorfindel raped his child--claimed or No, Glorfindel just may meet Mandos again soon..... and deservedly so.
Thranduil on the other hand knows how to treat others...Erestor must be in Heaven!! Lucky Him...and Thranduil for that matter :-) they are purrrfect together!

Well worth the wait. Ah, DarkDreamer, you do not disappoint!
That Glori on the other hand! *backhands him across the face* What were you thinkin'? Boy, you have some 'splainin' to do! Thousands of years waiting for the right one, and you BLEW it! Or rather you didn't when you probably should have! *runs like the sissy-girl I am before Glorfindel kills me for daring to slap him.*

Oh! Two chappies in one day! *does happy dance*
Nice work with Thranduil and Erestor. I think Thranduil is going to be very good for our advisor.
heh. Good to see Legolas sticking up for himself! lol Great dialogue there, by the way. *lights an arrow and keeps it handy just in case Legolas needs it*.
