Hmmm.
Kudos to Legolas and Glorfindel on working things out, little by little. Amusing that Legolas never made the connection between the Balrog Slayer and his sweet Glorfiindel. Keep writing! :)

I like the way this is written, very subtle and quiet. And I like your "I kinda new at this" Glorfindel, very sweet.

Hey, this is an interesting story. I wish I had caught it when you first posted, but playing catch up is fun, too. Poor Legolas, being treated like a breeding mare... but at least, I hope, Glorfindel will continue to treat him well. Keep it up!

One of the best written stories I've read in this fandom EVER!!! You have clear, distinct characters that ring true and a simple yet resonant way with words that brings the details into sharp focus. I love the deliciously decadent climax and I'm intrigued so see where you take this fascinating story.

I've been following this story since the beginning and with each new chapter I found myself more and more intrigued by it. There's a deep sense of pain, and sadness, and foreboding in this story without having scenes filled with huge amounts of violence and gore-- that is something I particularly like of this fic: its capacity to be heart-rending without playing with our base reactions to war and rape. Instead, it's the circumstances more than the scenes in themselves the ones that make me feel for Legolas and his pain. Elrond and the Imladris elves were perfect: sympathetic but not overly emotional (which as I imagine beings who have live millenia to be). Sauron's character is also refreshingly novel: evil and conniving, but not just plain mad and violent (and I actaully found more disturbing an evil soul than a violent one).
I'm eager to see what happens with Legolas. His is not an easy position, no matter from where you analize it. In Mordor, he was used and wronged. In Imladris, I hope he will be cherished and protected, but he'll still be used for a purpose. And if things had remained the same in Mirkwood, would he have had to bed his father? (On that note, I can't help but notice a deep sadness in Thranduil's personality on chapter 1. Was it because he had to bear Legolas?)
All in all, it's a fascinating story. Thanks for sharing!

Oooh...angst and escape!
Elrond will believe him. He must! If he doesn't, well, I'll kick him in the shins. (Not as scared of Elrond as I am of Sauron....)
