Very nicely written and very... lush, I might say! ;) I like the idea of what the talan is used for in your story, quite original and there was something that totally cracked me up and it was this:
"One rule of the game specified that whatever went on in the talan, stayed in the talan." That is a reference to Playboy-Boss Hugh Hefner and his famous grotto, isn't it?
