Here ya go, Elven, an old family recipe: hot tea with honey, lemon and Jack Daniels. We’re still not sure of its medicinal value, but drink enough of it and ya don’t really care anymore! *vbg*

What IS with these men? They all seem to be a bit “off.” Are we SURE Frosty’s evil Palantir wasn’t somehow accidentally shipped to this fic? Am I gonna have to drop the “Doom” bomb? *snicker*

Gotta run now, must finish sharpening my claymore, “Wee Willie.” It’s time Boromir and I had a little chat (that is if Sandra’s left anything *evil grin*).

*hands Elven the chicken soup bowl*

Caught it as well, haven't you? Poor baby! Hope you are feeling better now. Still fighting the bug myself I am afraid.

*points at Beth's review*

What she said! *g* Encouragement wise...

*nudges Freya*

Don't you feel like you want to wack Boromir-Babe over the head, I mean... like... really HARD? What's the MATTER with this guy?! AH!

Oh and while we are at it: Isn't it us girls who are supposed to be the blabbermouths around here? Seems those guys are the tattlers for a change, lol!

Really liked chapter 10, btw, very well set up, even though one guesses what is coming, but it was still very well done, I thought!

The one thing I would change perhaps is leave out the use of "yeah" and "okay", I am not a native speaker, but they sound rather modern day to me. I also wouldn't use fuck as in "I want to leave this fucking city". Using it as an adjective sounds very modern day to me, verbal use seems all right though. Just my two cents, but it is nothing really. ;)

Oh, and while I am busy wacking and slapping people: EOMER. What's the deal with him? I want to throw something at him. Seriously. Stupid git. *vents in anger*

Now if you excuse me, Freya and I need to find a way to get some sense into Bormir's head for crying out loud. :)

Keep up the great work, get better soon oh and... UPDATE! :)

Sorry, you two, for being hopelessly behind with my reviews, but I am kicking a flu bug's ass, so to speak! ;) Still reading though and hope I will find my brain again really soon, so I can manage a proper and well-deserved update again asap. Until then... I am still reading and loving every line of your stories, ladies! :)

O.o So much for Faramir being a nice guy...you two really have it in for him, don't you? XD Seriously, Alura was incredibly stupid not to make sure it was Boromir and not Faramir, or at least refrain from giving away her feelings towards either. Stupid, stupid, stupid. *tsk tsks*

Poor Eowyn. Poor Alura. Caught between a cad and a hard place...

More! More! I can't WAIT to see how Alura untangles herself from this one.

O.O I had a feeling this was a set-up! Where did evil Faramir come from? Shouldn't he be over in "Possession" with Frosty? Is this some sort of AU crossover? *must lie down, head spinning, where's my Boromir action figure?*

@ Elven:

Aaah, yes, PMS... that can be a bit of a bummer, lol! In fact, if you two ever decide to write a LOTR parody then your female OC should seriously terrorize Boromir, Faramir and the lot with the symptoms! *g* I remember an episode of "Roseanne" (the sitcom) where the entire family freezes in terror when they realize it's "that time of the month", it was very, very funny! :)

As for "that review", I quite agree with you, it is not so much what you say but how you say it and the tone of that review from Isa-whats-her-stupid-name was rather snappy and uncalled for. Somone may not like your stories or Frosty's, which is a matter of taste as it is with all stories here, but there is always a polite way to point things out to the author, particularly if it is obvious that said author DOES know the books and respects them. I have been bashing at an author here only once, but that was because she wrote in my native tongue and because it was really terrible and lacking any respect for the original work.

But look at it this way: This Isa was probably one of those LOTR-obsessed girls/ladies/freaks who have so absorbed the world of ME, that they have no room in their life for the REAL world.

As I said, I consider myself a Tolkien fan bordering to being an expert and have been so for over twenty years (yes, I am in my 30s and started reading the books early) and as I said I haven even published articles about Tolkien's work. But I take the LOTR with a grain of salt and his work is certainly not the holy bible to me. It amuses me that ever since the movie trilogy you have those "Tolkien popes" popping out of the ground like mushrooms everywhere and yelling: "This is not in Tolkin's spirit! Die!" as if they have a mystic afterlife connection to the man himself. :D

So, I say let's have some more of that adorable chocolate, I have some nice Swiss one here as well. :)

Have a great weekend, dear!

This ended up in Frosty's corner by mistake, lol!

*hands Elven an extra large box of Belgian chocolate*

There you go, dear, have some! :) Nice reply, I was about to write one myself so you saved me all the trouble, lol! Don't let this get to you. You know better and besides, you and Frosty started writing these stories a long time ago out of personal enjoyment. And nobody said you should strife for a Pulizer Prize with it, lol! It is fun, nothing more, nothing less. If anyone is having a problem with it, so be it. Look at your hits alone and you KNOW there are more than enough people who enjoy your work as well as Elven's. I can honestly say that I actually am a Tolkien lover to the point of being a Tolkien expert. My review of the ROTK EE even made the front page of one of the biggest sites worldwide just before Christmas. But when I come here I don't do so to read stories that are completely in tune with Tolkien's work. If I want to read that I read... well... TOLKIEN, actually. ;)

Oh well, it is adultff.net bitching again...

Bleh... Can I just say that Faramir is a bit of a slimeball? He thinks he can fire away a handful of one-liners and expects the lady in question to go: "Shag me, baby!" Faramir, my dear, there is a LOT you need to learn about courting women... OR one-liners? *g*

And it is doom time again, right Freya? Those two dressed in the same costume wearing masks and I tell you we are in for a jolly good time! *g*

Thanks, Sandra. She happened to catch me at the worst day of PMS, so I was feeling sorta mean at the moment. Having eaten the chocolate, I am better now and ashamed of caring enough to retort to her. Nothing wrong with being a Tolkien expert of course...I didn't mean to imply that...it just makes me have to roll my eyes when people are rude and try to act like they're some sort of learn-ed overbearing genius with the IQ of 300 we should all bow down before just because they know something like Tolkien wrote Frodo wears blue underwear in some secret diary only available for a one time reading at a small fruit stand in Singapore. On Tuesdays. ;) I've developed a strong taste for meddling with canon, not just Tolkien canon, and well...that's how I'll write it. Always.

And besides, I was under the impression Rohirric names were Old English mostly. I had looked up a list of Old English names specificially for that impression I had...and that's where I got Alura. If Christopher Tolkien gets wind of my using Alura as a Rohirric name, he's welcome to come shoot me. Sheesh. :D

Thanks for your lovely comments! :) Yes...Faramir...he needs be a nice boy and quit handing out the lines. *shakes head sadly*

Alura? Just because you stick 'AU' in the heading does not excuse you from applying some basic Tolkien content. Up until I read her name, I was enjoying this. Why should your readers choose this fiction to read over others when you clearly dont care enough to do some basic research? Here are some pointers should you decide you want to make this a decent fic.

1. Alura is NOT a Rohirric name. It is not even a Tolkien derived name. CouncilofElrond has a fantastic resource that shows names and their meanings. Go there, pick one and use it.

2. Fighting in silk dresses is inane. No one can visualise that! Where the hell are they getting Silk from anyway?

3. Two Shieldmaidens? Huh? Would it not be less of a cock-up for you to have your OFC as the daughter of one of Theodreds Noblemen? Rohan is a big country. It is more plausible that your OFC is a Lady from another region of Rohan and she is a Shieldmaiden for THAT region and its army. She could be attending court rather than being some halfbaked cousin when anyone who has ever picked up the books knows there was no such chance.

These are just for Chapter One. I couldnt go on as i sensed that your plot was only going to get more and more silly and Sue-ish. It wouldnt kill you to use a Beta Reader either, there are many tiny errors that you should have picked up when (and if) you proof read this fic.
