“Faramir grinned maliciously. ‘… I would consider the powers you are dealing with.’” *shivers* Oooo, REALLY good line. Don’t you just love it when the bad guy – so confident that he’s gonna win – starts giving away the details of The Plan? All that was missing was to have Faramir tie Boromir and Alura up and place them on some slow-moving death device (of course he may just be waiting for the next chapter …) :D
You, Elven m’dear, are an absolute genius (as if you haven’t heard that one before)! I was wondering who they would go to for aid, and here you have them going to Rivendell (at least that’s where they’re planning on going). What a wonderful tie-in! Will you continue the story through the quest? Assuming that: a – they get to Rivendell, and b – your interest holds out that long. *lol*
And no, Beth you’re NOT being paranoid, I half expected Faramir to walk in on them.

Thank goodness Boromir isn't a complete moron. And Faramir...he's a bit cocky when he thinks he has the upper hand, isn't he? Nasty git in this fanfic. XD
It's always interesting to see other parts of the city through your characters eyes. I love the excitement!
With you writing the story, though, I have this sinking feeling that someone's going to find them asleep and curled up next to each other, and then the nightmare will really begin.
Of course, I might just be paranoid. Who knows?

You both updated on the same night! For shame! Spread out the joy! ;)
Wow, I am so addicted to this fic, it's not even funny anymore. It continues to bother me that Boromir needs to get a clue and stop demonizing Alura, but hey, it's plot fodder, I understand.
I feel unusually sorry for Alura, not only because of the torture, rape and blood-sucking bites, but because she really isn't just some Rohan bimbo. She actually wants to help, and I find myself wondering what her childhood with Eomer and Theodred and Eowyn was like (let's face it, when was the last time you read a Legomance and gave a crap about the chilhood memories of the female OC?).
Anyway, if there's anything I can do to inspire you to post more often (this goes for Frosty, as well), just let me know. Anything at all... *grin*

Welcome back, my friend, we were just about to send out a search party. :D
"He had wandered out in very little more than a cloth draped along his hips..." *drool* I'm sorry, I kinda lost track of the story after that.

Boy, that Faramir is really begging for an arse-whuppin’! “‘I’ll not give her to you as well.’” ?? “Give?” Evil Faramir needs to be destroyed, slowly and painfully. I say let’s feed HIM to MoS.
I can’t believe you killed off Eomer! Fell on his own sword – yeah, like anyone’s gonna believe that!
Eomer dead, Eowyn on her way out, Alura a tasty snack/bride to be, evil Faramir and clueless Boromir, it all reeks of doom. Doom I tell you!
BTW: Beth, phlegm is as much fun to write as it is to say! ;D And for those of us not directly involved the whole tetanus episode is rather funny.

LOL, Beth, you funny thing. ;) I want to answer all your questions right now, really I do...but...you know the way of keeping people on their toes. ;) Thanks! I'm glad you're liking this and I'm very glad you're not sure what's going on. It seems sometimes transparent to me, but I guess it would since I know what I'm writing (some of the time). ;) Thanks!

I knew it. XD
Wow, that was good. Denethor caressing her cheek and then dropping away from her to let the MoS feast on her flesh, so to speak. And then Faramir being almost nice to Alura was, in a way, worse than when he actually raped her (either time). Like he was content/happy, secure in his knowledge that he would have what he wanted, snuggling up to Alura as if she was his property. Boy, would I kick him in the nuts and head for the hills as soon as I recovered.
Why Denethor would want Faramir to marry Alura still puzzles me, though. I suppose to cement the already formed allieance beween Rohan and Gondor, just in case Eowyn dies, but he would have more of a claim in Eowyn lived. And that would be severely undermined by Eomer's death. So my mind keeps running around in circles. Hee.
This is like Possession in that it's so addicting. I'm keen on a pitched battle of wits and an eventual happy ending (or at least, semi-happy), myself, but it's your story. :)
Faramir puzzles me most of all. Was he simply putting on an act to lure Alura (no pun intended) into falling for him and simply became cruel when he discovered she liked Boromir? Was he completely evil from the start and simply lost his patience when he found out? Or was he corrupted by Sauron's forces simultaneously with his discovery that Alura did not love him? Did he see her screwing Boromir? So many questions!
Is there a cure for Alura's infection, or does the Mos need to be defeated before her impending death can be lifted?
I don't know why I'm so inquisitive tonight. Probably just sick of being ill with the flu. Blaaaargh.

Whoever writes the plot bunny first... *cackles evilly, then dissolves into a fit of coughing* Damn it. Evil is just no fun with phlegm.
(I don't really have phlegm. I just like writing "phlegm." My neck was frozen in place for two days, though. I writhed and moaned on the floor of my bathroom, crying, "I have tetanus! I'm going to DIIIEEE!" It was so hilarious. ...Or it will be.
A very long time from now.

@ SV: LOL!
Well, I suppose it could be Thur********* or one of her minions (MY PLOT! MY PLOT!....*ahem* XD), but having rewatched RotK recently, the only being that comes to mind as being dark, "too tall to be human" and with its face obscured in shadow that has bloody, grinning teeth would be the MoS.
You have NO idea how horrified/fascinated/riveted I/my brother was upon first seeing that...thing. I had to watch it twice more to get the full effects of its presence. It explained soooo much that I had forgotten from the books and that the theatrical version left out.
That, and plus, it was creepily hilarious. "Ahhhnd he deeeed, Gahndahlf. *pause* He deeeed." *evil sardonic grin*
