Oh, I love the story! I can't wait to read what comes next. You do know where that Old English quote comes from, correct? Although, Tolkien would definately approve of its use in connection with the Rohirrim, who are the most Anglo-Saxon of any of his creations.

Bernard Hill *is* a very attractive man, evenmore so now he's older. I remember him as Yozzer Hughes in Boys from the Black Stuff, which was a British TV series during the 70's in which he played a man who had lost his job and had a large family to feed. His character coined a saying that became a sort of catchphrase of the time. He was so desperate to get a job that he would walk into companies and say "Gis a job. I can do that!" I loved his portrayal of Theoden and thought it more in character than many of the others. Your portrayal of Gamling is wonderful and I absolutely love the fact that you had Theoden get some womanly 'comfort' before going into battle and from a woman of his own age group. I agree totally with your comment to another viewer about sex when one is older. I find that it's a lot better and more satisfying because I know what I like and I know what my partner likes. Sex and pleasure definitely do not stop just because you get older and a few wrinkles and grey hairs. There may be snow on the roof, but there's still a fire in the grate. How disappointing for Aefre to be stopped in her efforts to follow him and how frustrated she would have felt! What a gloriously well-rounded OFC she is. Your story is a pleasure to read.

Excellent update Zee! The stew had me cracking up...if only they knew. Then again, it's good they didn't, or the Witch King might never have been snuffed.

Also liked being "behind the scenes" with Aefre back in Edoras, I always wondered what the people who were left behind did once the Riders left, and I think your depiction is accurate.

So we finally get more of Aefre's background. She is such a great person, I'm not surprised how loyal Cereweden and the others she knew at her old home are to her. I hope Gamling (with maybe some assistance from the new King?) can help her get her lands back.

Sshhhh is the word. But that dream Aefre had confirms my suspicions!

Please update soon!

Zee! I just completed all the chapters so far and let me tell you! It is fantastic! I absolutly love every sentance of it! Its funny, romatic, erotic, a different flip on the progress of RoTK! The Other charaters are charming, I never would have thought of King Theodan in this way...but yeah....he is kinda sexy for an older guy.... LOL One of my favorite things, are the thoughts going thru his head hothothotsweetsweet, etc.....LMFAO really entertaining. It will now be impossible to keep me from checking for new updates so I can read them ASAP! Keep up the wonderful work, I will be lurking and looking for more!

*waiting impatiently*

Great update Zee! Sounds like a little pony is on the way. Now wouldn't it be funny if Aefre turned out to be pregnant too? Gamling is quite "the stud" himself and they are not too old to have little horselords or shieldmaidens. More soon please!

Great update Zee! I laughed out loud at the part about Legolas and the hair soap!

So Gamling found out about Aefre. I didn't see that one coming, but I'm anxious now to see what he does with her. Please update soon, and bring on the angst, we can take it!

Thank you. I'm truly enjoying this. It's about time someone brought the Rohirrim to life through someone besides Eomer! (Gamling! Who'da thunk it???) Yes, you are right, praise be to Older men! I don't know about anyone else, but I get tired of young, perfect men (or drop dead gorgeous Elves) who hook up with virginal, perfect, drop-dead gorgeous thin women. (Probably because I'm a not thin, not perfect, not gorgeous and not a young, sweet thing! This appeals to the real woman!) This is wonderfully written and you bring the page to life with your descriptions. I could TASTE the mead, hear the wood crackling in the fireplace. I could visualize him sticking his head out the door to watch her walk down the hall, could hear him hit the floor, half dressed and feel the breeze as the two sat, over-looking the tombs of the Rohirrim kings.

I won't mention the incredibly wonderful sex.

I think you SHOULD give Bruce a copy of this. I have met him a few times myself and I think he would definately get a kick out of this. Amazing.

(Also, love the inside jokes - Gamling, who doesn't dance and Eomer who isn't a godlet of love. Your humor in this is just astounding.)

I hate to sound like everyone else, but I can't wait until you update this! It's amazing.
