This is the first Hal/Eowyn pairing I've ever read and I have to tell you that I enjoyed it immensely! You write so well, and I now find myself thinking I may have found a new ship! I have been a Faramir/Eowyn shipper but your story has opened up my eyes to the possibilities inherent in this pairing, so thank you for that! As it is my bedtime I shall tarry no further but I will, in the future, see if you have written anything else. You are an author worth following.

Very very good! You write quite beautifully! I also wish you would have made a bit longer, perhaps including their trip to Lorien, or a meeting between Aragorn and Haldir just to talk everything out. i believe Haldir woulnt tnt to speak with the king. Anyways, great job!

Bonus points for making Haldir survive Helm's Deep - seeing that beautiful arrogant elf being hacked down really hurt.
And the story is wonderful, well-written and sweet. I didn't read the whole of it because I don't want to know anything which will happen in the RotK movie, and because I think the sparring and the tension between the two of them was so great - that is usually the part of a romance I like best.
A few small details irked me, like the inevitable usage of "melleth nin" or whatever it was - it turns up so often in mediocre LotR fanfics or worse than mediocre Mary Sues that it feels threadbare to me. I like fanfics which use elvish sentences or terms which are not generally known, but I also like those which don't use them at all. Anyway, this story is so well written that it can't be spoiled by a little thing like that.
The bath? A little part of my brain was complaining that this was a threadbare plot device and anyway, why didn't the other elves assist Haldir if needed? The larger part of my brain was hissing to shut up because this scene was written so beautifully and the tension made my toes curl.

I love this story! Like has already been said, I never expected Haldir and Eowyn. But it has turned out wonderfully. I look forward to any and all new chapters. Keep it pleaplease! ^_^

This is an excellent story thread... I love the paring of Eowyn and Haldir... Unexpected indeed... : )
Of course I could be partial because Eowyn has done wonderful service as my beta reader... but that's not it entirely.. I highly recommend this story, it is beautifully written and the relationship is developed wonderfully. Make sure you read the chapters to come..
