Interesting so far---I've only read a few chapters but I couldn't help noticing repeated use of "illusive" when you probably mean "elusive."

My Legolas is being very maternal isn't he? Those childbearing hormones and concerns can really wreak havoc on your sex life for maternal he elves as well as the female of all races. That was a very nice interlude of elf s Alw Always good to read that.
Gracious Lindar and Filgree, what were they thinking right there in the hallway. Have all these elves lost their minds? I hope so and I hope I get to read about it.
See Legolas Filgree was correct. One day you will need that privacy curtain and be glad it is there. Like tonite.
Well we've got Orophin and Elladan consumating their bond in the hot springs and...
Elrohir has fallen both literally and figuratively for a *blond* Figwit of all things.
Well you have everyone taken care of here. One chapter to go so you must feel your work here is done. gigglbe

Wow. In Mirkwood, being crowned High King of the Elven Kingdoms. What a far cry from little Greenleaf being cossetted and sheltered not so long ago.
Being the center of attention. He has never had to worry about that postion before. Only two years before his life was so different and now it has been turned upside down. So many changes, some great, some good and some definitely on the down side.
Alone for a moment. He will be more alone than ever before although he'll be surrounded by elves at all times now. At least Glorfindel will be there for him like Filgree always was before.
Lovely remembrances of his childhood and how time and experience change the perceptions of the past.
Nice scene with Legolas, Glorfindel and the crowd.
And yes he did have an excellent adventure elf style.

Your stats were overwhelming. So much time and effort put into a tale for us to enjoy and so may people just hanging on every word.
Thank you so much for this.
This story was one of the first fan fictions I discovered and it sealed my fate. I now avidly search for fun stuff on the net to read. It is all your fault so thank you again.
May Elbereth shine on you for now and always. giggle
PS And sequels are always a GOOD THING

I'm sure about 1000 of those hits were me logging on to check if there was a new chapter. It's a miracle that I managed to graduate from university lasar bar because I've been hanging on every word of this fic from the day Chapter 1 appeared ("Will I finish that assignment? Maybe I'll just log on first to see if 'Jewel of Mirkwood' has been updated"). I grew particularly fond of Glorfindel, the combination of strength and tenderness - you couldn't make me a Glorfindel of my own, could you?
Very well done (stands and applauds) and if there's a sequel, you're guaranteed at least one reader.

I don't think I have ever read such an amazing piece of fan fiction. I don't think one has ever kept my attention as long either! I started reading it probably around October, and have been eagerly checking for updates ever since. Unfortunately, these did not always come at the best of times. You made like a 3 or 4 chapter update last year the day before my Organic Chemistry final. Let's just say that my priorities were not in exactly the right order. =) Hey, it was a great distron fon from studying. It wouldn't be so bad if I could read without going back and reading previous favorite chapters again.
Anyway, it was an extremely well written and thougth-out plot, with just the rigth amount of angst, humor, love, and excitement. Although I was practically squealing with excitement while reading the last chapter, I was also very sad to see it end. I'm a little embarrassed to say that your story had me in tears at several points, these last chapters being no exceptions. I can imagine that you must be very relieved, but sad to see it end. I just wanted to thank you for your dedication to finishing the story, and congratulate you for a job well done.
I hope to see another wonderful epic from you again (after you've rested)!
