Beautifully written! I love your look at Glorfindel and Ecthelion's relationship - a legendary love indeed, and even transcending love. Beautifully written. Your descriptions are so very eloquent, flowing easily and smoothly. You are a marvelous storyteller. You had me in tears in your story, and completely enraptured in your portrayal of the characters and their relationshps! I have always been looking for a love story that would dare to span the lives and tell the tale of Glorfindel and Ecthelion, and your work was a perfect treat and a wonder to behold. Stunning work. Wow. I just hope and hope and hope that you write more stories concerning these two elves! Thank you for the lovely work!
Best,
Kasmi

Waaahh! The sad bits! *whimper*
____
“All those times you walked in on Egalmoth and Rog when they were rather…busy.” The Fountain lord bit down on his lower lip to stifle his laughter as he observed the golden-haired elf turning an interesting shade of crimson.

Oh dear. I always KNEW there was something going otweetween those two!!!! MWAHAHA!
I ought to write a short story on it...Want me to? Oooh, or want to riterite it RG-style with me? YAY! I'll do it without you, if not, but I'd love to!

Gah! I'm gonna cry. This is without a doubt one of my favorite fics (and pairings), and the thought of them dying and losing eachother after all this time is absolutely heartbreaking. Well, I guess one way to tell that you've written a really good fic is if you get your readers emotionally involved. Damn you and your fantastic character development! *sob*

Also, Haldir and Rumil of Lorien were throwaway names too.
Thwas was another Haldir and Rumil. Rumil a vaa valinorian elf who invented writing runes in the time of Feanor. Haldir was a Man of Brethil and uncle to Huor (father of Tuor, Idril's husband), and he was around at the time of Dagor Bragollach (The Battle of Sudden Fire, fourth battle in the war between Morgoth & the Noldor). I'll keep thinking on this and if I remember any others I'll let you know, ok?

::taps chin:: I guess I should have explained that better. There are actually TWO Legolas in Middle-earth history (another BIG thank you to my beta reader for helping me figure that mess out). The Legolas everyone is well familiar of is the prince of Mirkwood and Thranduil's son who was one of the Nine Walkers and the Three Hunters; he be blond (according to the movie) and of Sindarian/Silvan origins.
However, there is another Legolas; this Legolas is of Noldor origin and of the House of the Tree of Gondolin. He was the eyes and ears of Gondolin and one of two people who led the survivors of the city, including Tuor and Idril and their son Earendil, away to the Mouths of Sirion when the stone city fell. My beta reader, Siobhan, has written a story called "By Any Other Name" that becomes the first meeting between the two Legolas (can find her story in my Recs).
Sorry about that all. I should have explained that better since Legolas of Gondolin will appear at least twice more in the span of this story. I hope that clears up any confusion.
